1  Forum / The Buzz Central / Re: VOTE WHO IS THE MOST POPULAR NIGERIAN MUSICIAN. on: 12-10-2010 04:55 PM
Hello, when you are talking about most popular, most influential, most controversial,
most anything, there ought to be a time frame within which one can make judgment.
Leaving it open, will include artistes of yesteryears. at a time, i know it was Majek Fasek,
at a time again, it was Felix Liberty again at a time, it was the agbami himself, Fela.
Even from the list on ground, some of them had a time they were most popular,
so please give a time frame.

Hey guys, you all have really tried, but there is more to it than
just posting lines on NP.
What you all are doing is poem
You cannot know who is who.
Your ability to flow on beat and timely.
Your ability to pour sequential meaningful rhymes.
Your ability to bounce on beat melodiously.
Your voice and style.
Then and only then you can do comparism
Naija has a lot of talents that needs to be tapped.
Some of us are underground rappers. You don't see us coming.
Just like a bolt out of the blue, you will see us on your bill boards.
So watch out for the names "REAL NIGAZ" and "EMCY"
3  Forum / The Buzz Central / Re: Nigerian Artistes That Should Quit Singing on: 23-09-2010 08:14 PM
Music is a thing of the mind. what is apealing to someone may not be to another.
It is not for anyone to decide who to sing. it an open field. Let the market decide
their fate. It is a free world. Will Smith of America is into music, comedy and film
acting and he is doing great in all. So the idea of actors should not sing should not
come up. If an actor or actress has a good song, i see no reason why he or she
should not release it even if it is a single. So let them be. If a song is not good
enough for you to buy, then don't buy. God has given us free will.
4  Forum / Politics / PAST CURRUPT PRACTICES TO BE REVISITED AND CULPRITS BROUGHT TO BOOK on: 20-04-2010 07:28 PM
A lot of effort has been going on in Nigeria to get her out of the ugly dun-geon she suddenly found herself just berely a few years after independence. These efforts have come in different forms and mode, but from my assessment of the whole thing, all have always had this teething problem and have died prematurely. The latest and most current one being the re-brand Nigeria stuff. One of such efforts i would want to refer to, is the late singer Sunny Okosun of blessed memory, in one of his works titled "which way Nigeria". Listen to the lyrics and meditate on it vis -a vis the abundant blessings of natural resources God as blessed Nigeria with, and weep. Fela cried his heart out, but they tagged him a mad man. what is our problem? Our problem has always been governance, currupt practices in high places and they have used it to infect the nation so much that you now hear things like "This is Nigeria" "Na naija be dis". This that naturally ought not to happen in a civilised society, will happen and the next thing you hear is, "This is Nigeria". Enough is enough. The citizens of this great country has been pushed to the wall and now is time to turn around and fight for her right. Lets forget sentiments, go for it and it will pay off at the end of the day. "RE-VISIT PAST CURRUPT ACTIVITIES AND BRING ALL CULPRITS TO BOOK"

so far litics don dey there, we understand.
However, i'm convinced in my mind that Nigerians of today
is waking up and thinking straight. Once biten twice shy.
We cannot be fooled this time around. make him realise say
maradona don reign past. Now na messy time.
6  Forum / The Buzz Central / Re: HipHop World Awards 2010 Nominees on: 12-04-2010 06:46 PM
Hip-Hop world is an outfit, a magazine that reports happenings in the music industry with much concentration on hip hop music. They are like every other Nigerian magazine. remember fame magazine? they have done a lot of award giving in the past. whatever award they give, its based on their own assessment and they are entitled to their opinion. Hip Hop World does not mean hip hop artistes around the world. its just a name of a magazine. just for the benefit of the people that are getting it wrong.

why all the noise, what signs again do we need to know that we are already in the end time. forget about the guy's religious believe. let's look at it from two perspective.
(1) scriptural:- the end time. when strange things will continue to happen.
(2) cultural:- we have thrown away our culture in pursuit of foreign culture. may be this is part of it. where somebody will just wake up and decide to do something crazy, you know, publicity stunt. anyway, if we must copy the foreign culture, let it be something good to sight and sound.

Aha!, some olodo think being sexy is talking about the act between your legs. No
'cause some are talking about taste of sexiness.
First, i think we should get it properly defined.
I mean, what it takes to be referred to as being sexy.
is it the same as being actractive?, if yes.
May be we should replace the word sexy with actractive
14  Forum / Sports / Re: Kanu slams Amodu on: 20-02-2010 04:00 PM
"KANU" one of the best footballers Nigeria ever produced. When Kanu was Kanu. People will never make such comments as they make today. meaning that age is telling on the young man. My candid advise is Kanu should quit the sceen before the law of diminishing return catch up with him.

Genty, its a shame! you are in support of a fraud. That is if it's true.
16  Forum / Celebrity Talk & Discussions / Re: Did 9ice stole songs for his album? on: 20-02-2010 01:24 PM
Na wao! atimes i keep wondering the kind of country this is (NAIJA). Someone is complaining of a fraud here, and some people are going off track or is it off beat and talking about his looks. While others are giving 9ice a pat on the back. What i think should be done, is for this claim to be investigated. Sanity is what we want. The rebrand Nigeria crew should step into it or even EFCC.
