1  Forum / Politics / is the future bright? on: 10-01-2011 11:04 AM
Over the years there has been a recycling of the same names mediating within the political arena as leaders. But still the popular saying youths are the leaders of tomorrow keeps re-echoing every now and then. The same leaders who care less about the youths of the country keep wanting more and more to remain in power to pursue their ill fated policies. Looking at the crop of leaders aspiring to gain political power the situation seems not bright. There are however two things to do, either wait for our tomorrow to come or stand up and make it happen through our talents and creativity, making sure the right people get into power.

its amazing what happens in this country, such a huge amount just for renovation or what ever it is called, how can people who have been chosen to make this country a better place agree to such acts?instead of focussing on issues of much importance like education and unemployment all these legislators care about is them selves. what nonsence.
3  Forum / Politics / education in crisis? on: 6-12-2010 08:45 AM
over the years there has been a lot of cries from the education sector about proper funding, one however wonders whether those who make the policies have in mind what it will take to implement the policies. more sad to note is that no aspirant atleast none that i know of  presently makes education the topmost priority. just recently the National PTA called on the federal government to pay more attention to the funding and proper implementation of the present 6,3,3,4. educational system. evidently this means that the system is currently underfunded. again some weeks ago the federal government announced that it will create 6 more federal universities. what is good to know is that this will open opportunities for many qualified unemployed Nigerians, but one thing still looms large, with the present federal universities crying out-loud about not being adequately funded, and the neglect of the system by even presidential aspirants, one wonders what awaits the fate of the educational system.
