Yet again, TB Joshua has been caught tampering with his prophecies to "correct them". Watch the video below to expose what he edited in the Brussels attack prophecy.
IMPORTANT: watch the original before congratulating him for a confirmed prophecy! In the original he specifically stated it would be France, and that it would be on a Wednesday , Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday in February, not a Tuesday in March! SCOAN really are despicable for putting out this deceptive video. All these details are edited out as we expose in the video below.
It has hardly gone unnoticed that TB Joshua has not appeared in public since his Mexico crusade. Prayer line services have been cancelled, church “evangelists” have been left with the task of preaching and ministering, and his birthday was inexplicably moved from Lagos to South Africa, without the birthday boy in attendance. The inquest into the deadly building collapse at SCOAN will deliver its verdict on the 8th July. As you will recall, TB Joshua has been totally uncooperative with the inquest, refusing multiple times to show up as a witness. The evidence that has been released to the public so far does not go in SCOAN’s favour, and with a new government in place less sympathetic to TB Joshua’s cause, he could be facing very serious consequences.
Previously we speculated that he may have retired to South Africa to escape the law, but that didn’t quite make sense to us. South Africa has an extradition treaty with Nigeria, a far more robust legal system, and will be taking the verdict of the inquest very seriously, because the majority of the victims were South Africans. So we kept digging, and what we found out was shocking. TB Joshua never returned from Mexico!
We have been following several threads of evidence that have suggested this, but now have confirmation from a trusted inside source that TB Joshua is, quote “still in Mexico, hiding from the law”. Mexico offers 6 month tourist visas, more than enough to see what the inquest verdict is and plan his next move.

One year ago TB Joshua made the following claim regarding the Chibok girls kidnapped by Boko Haram:
"Unless I am not called by God. I place my career and calling on the line. That these 200 plus school children kidnapped, they have to be released immediately, unharmed and unhurt. Then they can wait for God's judgement."
One year later, the schoolgirls are tragically still in captivity. They were not released immediately. One year of captivity will have inflicted untold harm and hurt on them. They are not unharmed and unhurt. We can now know TB Joshua's words were 100% false, simply exploiting a highly emotional event for his own fame. At least this time he was honest enough to stake his career and calling on it.
TB Joshua, by your very words, you are not called by God - so stop pretending otherwise. The time has come for you to stop deceiving and abusing people, you've been exposed by your own words.
SCOANThe final death toll for the SCOAN building collapse is now at 115. The building was illegally constructed, with a further 3 floors added without approval. Furthermore - it now transpires that the building didn't even have "Occupiers Liability Insurance”, something that is required by law for public buildings.
Section 65(1) of Insurance Act, 2003 provides that “Every public building shall be insured with a registered insurer against the hazards of collapse, fire, earthquake, storm and flood.”
Despite having blatantly broken the law in a way that killed 115 people, and maimed many more, TB Joshua remains a free man. A growing number of people believe this is unacceptable and are putting pressure on the Nigerian authorities to demonstrate that TB Joshua is not above the law. Open letter from 5 Nigerian academics
5 Nigerian academics signed an open letter saying it was time to arrest and prosecute TB Joshua because:
Mr. Joshua has done everything humanly possible to cover up the truth about this tragedy. First, in the first three days after the incident, he illegally barred officials of the National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) from accessing the site and rescuing survivors. Second, while this illegal interdiction was in effect, Mr. Joshua attempted to dictate the narrative and deflect possible culpability by blaming the incident on a mysterious ‘small plane’ which had purportedly hovered above his church complex moments before the collapse. Third, as public anger mounted in South Africa, Mr. Joshua declared the dead ‘martyrs of faith’ and sought to change the subject by promising to ‘take his teachings’ to the country every month for the foreseeable future. Fourth, an audio recording has just emerged of Mr. Joshua paying a gathering of journalists N50, 000 each in exchange for suppressing the truth and privileging his version of events. The recording, whose authenticity has not been challenged, was released by Mr. Nicholas Ibekwe, a Premium Times correspondent who was present at the meeting.
They then turn their attention to the Nigerian authorities
If Mr. Joshua has comported himself as one above the law, it is precisely because the Nigerian state has offered him every license. [...] The site should have been barricaded by the relevant authorities—the police, town planning, etc.— to secure evidence, given that the presumption ought to be that even if it is not immediately clear that a crime has been committed, something definitely has been remiss in the entire tragedy. Getting to the root of the matter should be the only concern next to solicitations for the welfare of the survivors.
They conclude
Mr. Joshua is a person of interest, not for his callousness, but for his cynical and persistent attempts to obliterate the truth and pervert the course of justice.
Lawyer accuses Lagos state of giving TB Joshua preferential treatment
Human rights lawyer Samuel Ilori points out that
Section 74(1) of the Physical Planning and Development Law of Lagos State states inter alia that at any time there is a collapsed building within the state. Wherever it is discovered that there is a negligence on the part of the owner or the developer, that land will be confiscated and whoever is at the other side of the law will be prosecuted. [...] Every other collapsed building in Lagos State have been taken over immediately evacuation has been done. So all these time that they are trying to buy for the man, we are not going to wait. Illori wants TB Joshua charged with culpable homicide, because "he knew very well that that foundation that contain two storey building cannot take six storey building, yet he allowed it to go on". He has written to the Lagos state governor, giving him 7 days to take necessary action:
Failure to which we will be left with no other option than to approach the competent court of jurisdiction for an order of mandamus for your good office to implement the law you signed in 2010 without delay. (source)
Families of South African victims intend to sue
A South African man who lost his sister in the tragedy has written an open letter calling on other families who lost loved ones to unite and:
Advocate for the banning of TB Joshua from visiting South Africa and SADC, Advocate for the betterment of the lives of the children orphaned by the heart-breaking but deliberate collapse of that building, Educate individuals and communities on early identification of tendencies of being possessed working in partnership with the faith community, Unite and advocate for the de-registration of Emmanuel TV by ICASA Advocate for the suspension of what’s left of the ‘diplomatic ties’ between Nigeria and South Africa until an investigation is concluded on the collapse of that building and conviction of TB Joshua (as the person who bears the ultimate responsibility for his church) is done, Institute civil claims against TB Joshua.
The BBC are reporting that at least one other family has joined his cause, and they are preparing to take legal action against TB Joshua. ANC Youth League say TB Joshua should be denied visa for South Africa
Nine days after the disaster, when TB Joshua finally started showing sympathy for the dead, he pledged to visit South Africa every month in honour of the victims. We would be very suprised if he kept his word, especially after he so quickly forgot his pledge to personally take annointed water to Ebola affected countries. However, if he does follow through with the pledge, the ANC Youth League are doing everything in their power to ensure he isn't allowed to enter the country:
"TB Joshua should not be allowed to come to South Africa until we know what happened to our fellow countrymen at his church, We will make sure we engage with the department of international relations and co-operation to make sure they do not issue him with a South African visa." (source)
Conclusion
It will be very interesting to see what happens over the next few days, and there are encouraging signs that the pressure is being felt by the authorities, there are reports that the investigation is moving forward and that the outcome could be TB Joshua being charged with culpable homicide. There is a part of us that has sympathy for the government, prosecuting him will not be easy given the huge number of dedicated followers he has. Already some are saying that even if he is imprisoned, this will only put him in the same category as the apostles who were also imprisoned (though I don't recall any being imprisoned for causing the death of 115 people). However difficult this situation may be, it is hard to see any justification for the closed door meetings with Lagos governor, the president visiting to "commiserate" with TB Joshua, or the fact that services are still going on at SCOAN despite evidence that other buildings are illegally constructed. Officials are calling for action to be taken against SCOAN due to the illegal and deadly expansion that took place, converting a 2 story building to 6. So far 50 bodies have been pulled from the rubble, more are being found each day.
According to the law in Lagos, any building that collapses during or after construction will be seized by the government. As yet, no action has been taken against the church. Two days after the tragedy people thousands of people were allowed to congregate for a Sunday service, even though suspicions now rest on the legality of parts of the main SCOAN auditorium.
So called "men of God" are not above the law. They should be subject to the same scrutiny as anyone else. Do not let him get away with this, petition the government to #arrestTBJoshua now!
This should not be surprising, SCOAN attracts thousands of sick people from all over Africa every week. Even if the allegations are currently untrue, it is only a matter of time before the virus arrives. SCOAN need to take immediate action to put a stop to the masses of international visitors arriving each week, and if they won't - the government should do so on their behalf.
There have also been unconfirmed reports (please post a link to the video in the comments if you have it) that TB Joshua is sending his anointed water to Liberia for distribution amongst Ebola victims. If this is true, it is a terrifying development. We foresee Ebola victims forgoing proper medical attention, spraying anointed water on themselves and proclaiming themselves healed - before returning to their communities and passing the disease on to others. If the reports are true, it is the height of irresponsibility, and we urge the government in all affected countries to denounce TB Joshua's anointed water as a method of disease prevention.
On Monday the 14th April, dozens, if not hundreds of people lost their lives in a massive bomb attack in Nigeria's capital Abuja. For most pastors and religious leaders, this is a time of mourning. A time to reach out the bereaved to comfort them and pray for them. Not so TB Joshua. For TB Joshua, even a tragedy on his own doorstep is fair game for exploitation. Hours after this horrific attack, SCOAN edit together a video proudly claiming that TB Joshua had predicted it. In the video he claims (to audible gasps of horror): "Listen to me, my people in Nigeria. Once again, take note of this: Our security should be vigilant. I am seeing a very big strike -- explosion. They should take care of Abuja -- capital."
We have managed to track down the unedited version of this prophecy, given on the 10th November 2013. As usual, a critical aspect of the prophecy has been edited out (see the bold text).
Listen to me, my people in Nigeria. Once again, take note of this: Our security should be vigilant. I am seeing a very big strike -- explosion. Towards the end of this month, or the middle of next month they should take care of Abuja, capital.
Based on this, the bomb was meant to happen towards the end of November and the middle of December. It happened on the 14th April.
But he predicted a bombing in Abuja, and one happened! Isn't that enough?
No! Prophecies are words from the all knowing, all powerful, omnipresent, omniscient God. Real prophecies are not 5 months wrong with their dates. Real prophecies glorify God, not the prophet. Real prophecies bring people to repentance. TB Joshua's prophecy does none of this, and due to the current situation in Nigeria it was certain to "come true" given enough time. This "prophecy" was given on November the 10th. Just one day before on November the 9th, Reuters reported that "Intelligence available indicates that the terrorists were in the process of finalizing plans to carry out simultaneous suicide attacks in Abuja and Kano" (source). As usual, all TB Joshua was doing was reporting the news, dressed up as prophecy.
It's time Nigerians stop standing for this nonsense. This man is making a mockery of a national tragedy and exploiting it for his own gain. As Deuteronomy 18:22 says "If the prophet speaks in the LORD's name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the LORD did not give that message. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared". TB Joshua does not need to be feared, he needs exposing.
The whole world has been watching the mysterious disappearance of Malaysian Airways flight MH370. Only one person seems to know what happened to it, everyones favourite false Prophet, TB Joshua.
Here is a timeline of actual events alongside TB Joshua’s “predictions”, followed by an analysis of what he has actually contributed.
28th July, 2013 – TB Joshua predicts a plane carrying nearly 200 people will crash in “Asia” metres from the runway. It will be due to an obvious fault that could have been solved if the crew weren’t so impatient.
8th March, 2014 – Malaysian Airways flight MH370 disappears from the radar over the south china sea. Immediately an international rescue mission takes place, searching for a wreckage in the sea around the area contact was lost.
8th March, 2014 – TB Joshua releases an edited version of the 2013 prophecy, omitting the part where he claimed it would crash metres from the runway due to an obvious fault.
9th March, 2014 – TB Joshua Watch call for TB Joshua to reveal the location of the plane, since he claims so confidently that God had shown him this disaster happening 8 months ago.
9th March, 2014 – Approximately 8 hours after the TB Joshua Watch post, the TB Joshua Ministries official Facebook page reveal the location of the plane……. In the ocean! Particles will begin to appear on the surface any moment now, he claims.
14th March, 2014 – After several days of speculation that the plane may have flown on for hours, suggesting an element of foul play, the search switches to the Indian Ocean after unspecified “new information”. Although yet to be officially announced, the press are widely reporting that the flight had been hijacked.
15th March, 2014 – TB Joshua brags that he’s the only minister who’s been talking about this for the last year (even though what he mentioned a year ago was very different). He advises the rescuers to start searching between Indonesia and the Indian Ocean (the search moved to this area at least 24 hours prior to his “recommendation”). He says there are some strange people in the plane, who are not meant to be inside. There was a battle on the air, the plane turned back. The pilot confronted a situation he could not handle. The whole thing is coming to an end, they will discover the plane any moment from now. This coming week, we will not be talking about it again.
What we have seen so far is very illuminating. You can see clearly two deceptive techniques TB Joshua employs in order to make people think he’s a true prophet:
Make things as ambiguous as possible. For example, the “strange people on board” and the pilot “confronting a situation he could not handle”. This seems like it implies highjacking, but also could be twisted (especially with a little editing) to fit the more likely hypothesis of pilot suicide. If he really knew what happened why not say “it was hijacked” or “it was pilot suicide”?
Reveal details after they become public knowledge. He said it was in the ocean when it was only the ocean being searched, and since the ocean covers 70% of the earth’s surface, that doesn’t exactly help locate it. He suggested they search between Indonesia and the Indian Ocean a few days after the search had switched its focus to there. He implies foul play, after the press have widely reported it.
If he had told them to search between Indonesia and the Indian Ocean while they were still focusing on the south China sea, that would have been impressive.
If he had revealed that the plane had been deliberately diverted when they still thought it had suffered a catastrophic failure, that would have been impressive.
As it stands, he’s not offered anything of any use. However, there are a few points that he can’t retract or twist:
The plane is in the sea. This is a safe bet to hedge because that seems the only likely hypothesis, but until the plane is found, that cannot be certain.
The plane will be found any moment from now (that was first said 9 days ago, so time is ticking on that prediction).
By the end of the week, the mystery will be solved (we will no longer be talking about it).
We hope that TB Joshua’s followers will at least hold him to these points, but will also pay attention to the order in which his predictions have been revealed. This has been an event where someone with genuine knowledge could have been incredibly helpful and become very well known. What TB Joshua has said has added nothing.
Finally, TB Joshua aside – please pray for the families who must be going through unimaginable pain, not knowing what has happened to their loved ones.
Back in 2011 TB Joshua used the Boko Haram crisis to make a name for himself by claiming that they would be long forgotten about a few months into 2012. Sadly this prophecy has proven completely wrong, but it hasn’t stopped him from continuing to exploit the crisis for his own gain. This time, in one of his sunday circuses services a self-proclaimed Boko Haram member confessed that he had come with 4 accomplices to bomb SCOAN. To avoid being accused of misreporting, here is the video and this is the SCOAN report of what happened:

Nearing the end of the service, Prophet T.B. Joshua announced that a young man had a confession to make. The man by the name of Mustapha confessed that he was a member of the Boko Haram sect, which he explained was a cult. He admitted that his initial mission to The SCOAN was to place a bomb in the vicinity with the intent of killing hundreds. Mustapha, who said he was accompanied by four others, had the explosives hidden in a bag. They sat down to eat at a restaurant very close to The SCOAN, explaining that Emmanuel TV was playing in the background as they ate. At that moment, Prophet T.B. Joshua’s prayer for viewers began airing.
Mustapha, who had never been to Lagos, attended church or seen T.B. Joshua before, said, “By the time you (T.B. Joshua) prayed and laid hands on the screen, it was like you were there with us and you joined our midst. As you laid your hands on the screen, you laid your hands on our face. That was when confusion came between us; everybody scattered.”

Several hours later, T.B. Joshua readdressed the issue and brought the young man forward again, stating that God had warned him of the impending attack several weeks ago and that he had been engaging in intensive prayers for the past fortnight. “It was not a surprise to me because I have seen it. My mission is to separate him from the spirit that is controlling him to do that. We are not to fight mere flesh and blood,” he explained.
As Prophet T.B. Joshua prayed, the Boko Haram member fell on the floor before beginning to vomit some strange substances. There was a tattoo of a scorpion clearly visible on his shoulder, which Mustapha explained was a sign of the cult. He further explained that this was the first mission he went on where this had happened as he had never failed before. After praying for him again in the power of the Holy Spirit, the young man fell once more to the floor. Upon getting up, tears were in his eyes. “The spirit leading him to kill is gone,” Prophet T.B. Joshua declared! We thank Jesus Christ for this mighty deliverance.
Notice how the man is brought forward twice, several hours apart. That means this man who has just confessed to coming to SCOAN to kill hundreds of people, and has yet to have the demon leading him to kill cast out (if you’re to accept the SCOAN narrative) is free and unrestrained for hours among the group of people he planned to kill!
His accomplices are still running free, probably with the bomb. How has the service been allowed to continue if this was a genuine threat? If there was an ounce of truth to this story, the authorities would have been immediately called as soon as the guy came forward, why would they keep a confessed killer and terrorist around for hours, unrestrained for a live confession and deliverance?
In case it’s not obvious enough by now that this was all a foolish and deceptive stunt, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Umar Manko has described the claims as baseless. We commend Mr Umar for speaking out and dispelling the nonsense, but this should not stop here. According to SCOAN, they had a terrorist in their midst. TB Joshua needs to be taken into police custody and questioned about this. If there is any truth to the claim, the man and his accomplices will be arrested and tried, and TB Joshua should be cautioned for not immediately turning him in to the authorities. In this post, we present 5 FACTS about TB Joshua and SCOAN that should be very concerning to any discerning Christian. These are not opinions, they’re not allegations, they’re not interpretations, they are FACTS. Each fact has a link to the original article providing evidence.
1) SCOAN deceptively edit their videos
There are probably hundreds of deceptively edited videos released by SCOAN, but to prove it we would need the full, unedited version as well as the edited version. So far we have caught them out and exposed them in the act 3 times in the Indonesian plane crashes, the Colorado shooting and the Philippines typhoon.
This should concern you because SCOAN purports to be a church, yet they deliberately and shamelessly deceive their followers. It should also concern you because it makes a mockery of the biblical gift of prophecy. Finally, it casts huge doubt on the authenticity of ANY of their videos. Think of all the healing videos they have released, now imagine the same kind of deception has taken place in these. These videos prove that you cannot trust anything broadcast on Emmanuel TV to be an accurate representation of the truth.
2) The anointed water is blasphemous
Mass producing bottles of “anointed” water is unbiblical (we explain why here), but TB Joshua takes it even further by labeling it ”for the salvation of your soul” or more recently “The blood of Jesus”. This useless packet of water does not save anyone, and is certainly not “The blood of Jesus”. Any such claim is not only incorrect, it is blasphemy of the highest order. You may say this is an opinion, but it’s no more an opinion than saying Jesus is Lord. Ask any pastor who’s not in some way linked to TB Joshua, and they will confirm that substituting the blood of Jesus for anything is blasphemous.
3) They misuse scripture
There are lots of examples we could use here, but since we’re sticking with facts rather than interpretations we’ll stick to one of the most obvious and blatant misuses of scripture, their complete rewrite of Deuteronomy 18:22. At the beginning of most of their prophecy videos it says “When God speaks, the wise listen. Deuteronomy 18:22″. In reality, Deuteronomy 18:22 rather appropriately says “If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed.”.
We first exposed this rewrite of scripture 18 months ago, yet still they use it. What is worse is that they are abusing scripture for their own gain by implying that TB Joshua is speaking for God (or is God?) and those who listen to him are wise. Nobody wants to be dumb right? So you’d better listen to what TB Joshua has to say! A church that would misuse and abuse scripture as blatantly as this, is not a church you should have anything to do with.
4) Many of his followers consider him to be a messiah, and he does nothing about it
Numerous articles have shown that there are many who consider TB Joshua to be a messiah. For example:
Note that two of the above claims were broadcast on Emmanuel TV, video evidence is included in the original posts. TB Joshua has been named “Jesus of this generation” and “Messiah of our time” on his own TV channel, nobody corrected the statement, and no statement has since been issued.
Any pastor who attracts these kind of beliefs in such number is doing something very wrong, but if he doesn’t strongly and clearly refute the claims he is a very dangerous man.
5) His quotable quotes are plagiarised
TB Joshua has numerous volumes of “quotable quotes”. These writings are considered sacred by his followers. “Disciples believe that the quotes are all divinely inspired,” said a former disciple who asked not to be named. “They definitely regard them as equal to the bible. The quotes have to be memorised and quoted word for word. To preach a good message for TB Joshua you have to stuff it with as many of the quotes as possible.”
A reader recently sent us an extremely disturbing video. The video was from Emmanuel TV, and showed a woman testifying to her recent deliverance thanks to the Anointed Water. In the clip below she calls TB Joshua the "messiah of our time" 3 times, and the interviewer makes no attempt to correct this.
TB Joshua is responsible for what is broadcast on his TV channel, the fact that a statement like this has been made not once, not twice, but three times without being challenged should be a serious concern to all supporters of Emmanuel TV, SCOAN or TB Joshua. By broadcasting it they are supporting it. If they don't support the statement, then we should expect a full and frank retraction.
If the anointing comes from God, what is the purpose of collecting the water from TB Joshua? Why not just turn on your tap?
Unless you believe TB Joshua is a mediator between you and God (i.e. a false christ), I'm sure you can agree with us that these little packages of plain water are utterly pointless!
It's good to clear that up, but what a shame these packages of water claimed the lives of 4 people, totally unnecessarily.
Yesterday, the inevitable video was released claiming that TB Joshua had prophecied the Boston bombing. Is this more evidence that TB Joshua will shamelessly exploit a tragic situation for his own gain? Whatever the case is, he has an army of devotees who will lap up everything he says, gushing on their social media profiles about what a "true man of God" he is, without considering the substance of what he has actually said. Let's condense the prophecy into a few bullet points:
Pray and fast for America on Monday
There will be flames
Something will be roaming around, wandering in a city in the United States (the Lord will subdue)
American Homeland security should be tight, tight, tight.
There will be bombings
Homeland security is very important
Large gatherings should be avoided or well secured
There will be massacres
When you look at all those bullet points together, it's not hard to see why people are impressed. The event in question did happen on a Monday, it was a bomb and it happened in a large gathering of people. Of course there is no date on TB Joshua's video, so we don't know how many Mondays have passed before this "prophecy" eventually became fulfilled, but credit where credit is due - a fair few facts were predicted.
That's impressive.
Or at least it would be, if he said all these points at the same time.
But he didn't.

Now we see that the two most accurate elements of this prophecy (a bombing happening on a Monday) were told in two totally separate prophecies. A bombing was predicted, but not on any particular day of the week. Given today's tense political climate a bombing in America is sadly inevitable. A bombing happening in a large gathering of people is just stating the obvious. It was flames and "something roaming around" (no idea how that fits in!) that was predicted on a Monday. Predicting flames and a day of a week is vague enough that it will fit with many events. We've shown previously how TB Joshua edits out inaccuracies from his prophecies to make them seem more accurate than they really were. Recently it was widely reported in the news that the second person in history has recovered from HIV. This is in stark contrast to TB Joshua's claim that he has healed "hundreds". This is compelling evidence that TB Joshua's claims are fake, they should be investigated by independent bodies and until verified, nobody should waste any money seeking him for healing.

Why do you assume we're paid? If only! If you watch that video, you'll see very clearly that TB Joshua is deceiving everyone who believes he really did predict the Colorado shootings. If people did watch the original live service, then they too would now see that they're being deceived when the watch the Colorado shootings "prophecy". You don't want to be deceived do you?
