Do you know of any hit songs that you like but you do not know the artiste behind it? I do too! There are a lot of them and its a crazy thing for the artiste when his/her song goes viral and people don't know them as much as they know the song. Such artistes don't get to reap the fruits of their labour to the fullest. I was once at a club where they played this particular song called Wire Anthem and everyone screamed and started to dance, yet the owner of the song was right beside me, he wasn't even acknowledged or given a drink, he was just standing on one corner while the club's hype-man was busy screaming the name of another artiste there that night. And guess what, they were supposed to be hosting both artistes on that same day. This happened at club Uno Ikeja. It is a true story. This kind of situation happens when an artiste is not known or respected either because he does not put himself on the spot, or does not have a likeable brand or swag or personality or he's shy and always hiding, or just don't have the right PR or management to expose and represent him well as his songs gets airplay.
