To set the records straight, the actress said her Pinkies Foundation is a group she established two years ago and its primary aim is to bring women together irrespective of their age or societal status to support each other and share ideas in business, health and improve family values. “My foundation is not about that. Do I look like lesbian? I am not a lesbian. Nigerians like attaching irrelevant things to something. They are saying that because l am an actress. “it has not stopped me from achieving my goals. 80% of the women in the group are married with kids. | Oh Lord! AfroCandy is such an honest person, lol. Her movie, Destructive Instinct is not selling as expected because marketers have increased the price. Instead of selling it N300, they sell it between N500- N1000. Meanwhile, Candy wants every Nigerian to have a copy of it, because of what she did in it, lol. So she announced on Facebook that they shouldn’t buy it more than N300. She’s even fighting the marketers right now and said she will bring in her team from the US for her next movie. Oh well.. Her words after the cut; Why are Nigerian Marketers too Greedy? Guys pls Do not Buy the Movie Destructive Instinct if the price is more than #300 cos I did not discuss that with the marketers they just wanna rip where they did not sow and it's not fare. How can they be selling my Movie for #500, #700, #1000 that's crazy. I made sure it would be cheap and available for all my Fans in Nigeria to be able to afford it so why the hike in price? Leave it for them let them eat it They've really thought me a big lesson now that I know Nigeria is ready for me, I will bring in my foreign Partners and let's do this motherf*cker. | musician Joshua Iniyezo, better known as Solid Star in a recent interview opens up about his music career, his experience growing up and also about his relationship with Tonto Dikeh. When asked how he started his music career, he said,I would say that I've been trying since I was in A.J (Ajegunle) City, when Achievas Music moved me from there to Festac, things started moving fine. From the new friends I started making then, I dropped my first single 'One In a Million' and that was it. Asked to tell his story, he said, It started way back in AJ city when I had to do a lot of things to survive since I lost my grandma and my dad. It was only me and my elder brother. So after my secondary school, I had to do something. I started hawking at Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA)…(Laughs). I was hawking meat pie. The first song I recorded was with Achievas Music and things changed from then. You worked with Tonto Dikeh on her 'Sheba' song. How was the experience? You know, Tonto is a crazy girl and the music came out good, the experience was crazy. I had to put her through because she is not a musician; we went through a lot to put her through. In your opinion, would you say she is on the right track going into music? I think she is doing it for fun, she's enjoying herself. If fans like her for that then it's good. At least she is being called for shows and she is making money from it so definitely she is doing well. You and Tonto Dikeh have been romantically linked, how is she to you? | About 23 young ladies who wanted their unwanted pregnancies terminated, have reportedly died after they drank some herbal abortion concoction from a native home in Delta State, LeadershipNg reports. Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba, the state police commissioner, who confirmed the discovering of the illegal home, said no fewer than 23 females whose unwanted pregnancies were terminated, died after drinking the concoction. He explained that the detectives arrested the operators who were mainly native doctors and quack nurses and upon interrogation, confessed to the crime. The home is located around Ugborikoko in Uvwie local government area. The suspects claimed they were trained in traditional medicine, especially in the use of concoction to terminate unwanted pregnancies. One of their victims, a 22-year-old house-help in the area, identified as Endurance, recently died as a result of abortion she had performed at the home. It was learnt that the victim took ill and was rushed back to the quack home where she died as a result of complications from the abortion she allegedly carried out in the abortion centre. A test conducted on her death by medical experts showed that she was pregnant and attempted to abort it at the hands of the native doctors and quack nurses in the home.  One of the suspects, the police boss disclosed, identified as Ufuoma had made useful statements, adding that the police recovered different bottles with concoction and charms tied around sticks including locally made guns. | 13 year old primary five pupil, Awal Osisi has committed suicide in Akure, the Ondo state capital. But the police in the state is working at some puzzles surrounding the alleged death of the boy just as his step mother is being detained. Saturday Vanguard gathered that the boy committed suicide in his parents’ house located at High School area of Akure. Awal was allegedly found in his parents’ room hanging by the door on Wednesday by using a belt to hang himself. His step mother Mrs Rukayat Osisi reportedly raised alarm at about 10.00am when she discovered the dangling body of the boy in the room. Rukayat a petty trader. claimed that she found the body of Awal in the room having committed suicide. However, the police in the state is suspecting foul play, wondering why the step mother brought down the alleged dangling body of the boy before informing the police. The woman was said to have gone to the ‘A’ Division at about 1.35 pm to report that her step-son was found dead in the room after killing himself. Rukayat said she discovered the body of the boy in the room after he hanged himself with a belt tied to the handle of the door. She said she had to remove the corpse of the deceased and take it to the State specialist hospital in Akure before reporting the incident at the police station. However, reports gathered from the community showed that Awal has always been a victim of victimisation, oppression and child abuse by his father and the step- mother since his mother divorced the father some years ago. Saturday Vanguard learnt that the step-mother together with the father has always been maltreating the boy and sending him on difficult errands. It was learnt that the father works outside Akure and comes to Akure every weekend. The father, it was gathered seized the boy’s school uniform and books following a report from the wife that the deceased misbehaved while the father was away in his station. A pastor in South Africa, Pastor Lesego Daniel (you will find his pics after the cut) is making his members eat grass. Yes, grass! Pastor Daniel, who is the founder and Head Pastor at Rabboni Centre Ministries, situated at Zone 2 Ga-Rankuwa, north of Pretoria, said he was basically trying to prove that humans can be controlled by the spirit and they can eat anything to feed their bodies. |  Wife of the former registrar of the Ambrose Alli Unversity, Ekpoma, Edo State, Mrs. Kate Edokpayi, was yesterday found dead after committing suicide. Her husband, Mr. Larry Edokpayi, discovered her body hanging down the ceiling in one of the rooms in their boy’s quarters. Sources close to the family said frustration over her health challenges might have led her to commit suicide, as she left no suicide note.
According to the sources, she had repeatedly expressed frustration over her inability to get cure for her diabetic condition.
The husband had suspected his wife was kidnapped after a long fruitless search, before he was advised to check the boy’s quarters. The man, who recently retired from the service of the university, could not believe his eyes when he forced open the door of the boy’s quarters which was bolted from behind. His wife’s body was seen dangling down the ceiling. Before her tragic death, Mrs Edokpayi was an Assistant Director with the Edo State Ministry of Education.
