It is good to highlight Lagos and show the terrible sides so that our leaders begin to have change of heart. Most areas of Lagos is terrible and you wonder how people survive. At the moment government attention is turned to areas where the haves are living. Go beyond these areas you realise Lagos is a ghetto. We are good at confronting whoever says the truth because we do not want the truth to be told. We always want the good sides told about us. Visit places outside the islands and you you will thank BBC for highlighting them. Even as you are leaving or entering the island you often close your nose to avoid offending stench from the lagoon.

It is great to read about Nigerian children performing good outside the shores of the country and Nigerians are full of praises. We should continue to ask the Nigerian authurities what they are doing to create conducive enviroment for learning in Nigeria and help the children to project their talents. Why do leaders send their children abroad if they believe the enviroment in the country is ok. At least, we know we have qualified manpower in the schools in Nigeria and they are prepared to work in a decent enviroment.

It will be unfortunate if it is true that students resorted to destroying properties of people who might not know anything about increases of fees in the institution. It does not show responsibility on their part. Nigerians should also condemn any increses of fees at this time. It does not in any show encouragement by government to ensure spread of education to all. It is most difficult to govern an uneducated society.

You are just lucky to meet sane kidnappers. That is why it looks like fairy tale. While it is important that government should create jobs not only for graduates but also for able bodied who require to work, kidnapping is not and cannot be the solution to social and economic problems in the country.
