The suspected leader of a robbery gang, Chief Jude Dike, has been arrested by the police and paraded along with six other suspected members of his gang in Lagos, western Nigeria.

The 55-year old Dike, who resides in Ajegunle area of the state, was paraded along with his gang after men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, arrested them.




The police alleged that Dike sponsors robbers by providing arms for them for operation and he sells the proceeds from the robbery operations to businessmen.

Those arrested along with Dike are Joel Eghon, 38, Ifeanyi Onwuegbuchi, 34, Solomon Igwe, 32, Emmanuel Ifeanyi, 34, Ejike Emegwo, 31, and Leonard Afoaku, 39.

Dike confessed that he actually arms robbers for robbery operation and thereafter contacts his agent to buy the stolen goods.

He also confessed that he joined the business by accident and because it is lucrative, he stayed put until he was arrested.

While parading them on Tuesday, the State Commissioner of Police, Cornelius Aderanti, said on 20 September information got to him that some armed robbers who had earlier snatched a Toyota Hiace bus around Ebute Metta were planning another operation.

On his instruction, SARS led a decoy team to the area which led to the arrest of the suspects and recovery of the Toyota containing engines female bags, shoes and motor gear.

Also, a Barretta pistol with serial number P17531 and ammunition were recovered from the suspects.

After the alleged goods receiver, Leonard Afoaku, a businessman, was arrested, some goods were recovered from him.

A young man identified as Maqsod has been killed by a tiger after climbing over a fence into an animal enclosure at the New Delhi Zoo.The man who was said to be drunk was warned severally by zoo officials not to go close ,but he ignored the warnings and jumped over ,coming face to face with the tiger who appeared initially surprised on seeing the human intrusion.

An eyewitness told AFP
“As soon as the youth slipped and fell into the moat, the tiger approached him and silently watched him for nearly 15 minutes
He said what possibly provoked the tiger to attack the man was when onlookers and a guard tried to divert its attention by pelting stones at it.
Everyone was pelting stones and making noises to divert the tiger’s attention, “It was then that the tiger pounced on the youth with his paw and dragged him inside his enclosure by his neck,”
Another eyewitness Himanshu said:
“The man was cowering in fear and appeared to be pleading with folded hands to the tiger to spare him.
But National Zoological Park curator R.A. Khan told IANS that the youth himself jumped into the tigerÂ’s enclosure.“The tiger was later locked up,” Khan said.

27 year old  Reginald Humphrey aka "The Cinnamon Apple Guy", finally killed his 23 year old girlfriend Michelle Geiger yesterday morning after she allegedly posted a photo of yet another man as her "#ManCrushMonday". Known as MCM, it trends on Instagram and Twitter every Monday.

He stabbed her 14 times while she slept in the condo they both shared together.The couple made some fame after a viral video hit the internet where they fought over the same issue...

Viralupdate reports that,The couple were in the news sometime last month after a neighbor captured a video of Humphrey yelling at Geiger, after she posted once more a pic of her "Man Crush Monday".
"I thought you loved me! You was my baby, my f**king cinnamon apple", you can hear Reginald shout in the video.
 Even though the couple is seen experiencing some relationship problems, friends of the two swear they were very happy with one another, besides that little incident that they had apparently settled.
"There was no violence between the two! Just regular arguments! Nothing ordinary couples aren't used to! We never expected this", stated a close friend of the victim.
"It was her crush! Yeah they DM’d (direct message) regularly, but he lives at the other end of the country. I don't understand how he could kill her over a pic on Instagram."
 When authorities finally arrived at the crime scene, Miss Geiger was already dead in their bed laying in a puddle of her own blood. Hemphrey was later found by the police on his knees in the garage with his hands behind his head waiting to get arrested.
The homicide is currently underinvestigation for any other potential evidence regarding the situation to determine if any other motives could of contributed to why Humphrey would commit such a heinous crime.
Humphrey will be charged with first degree murder and may serve life in prison if found guilty

The Niger State command of the Department of State Services (DSS) on Monday paraded Sampson Oghenedoro, a 28-year old staff of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) for demanding N50 million from the state government to stop him from broadcasting a story on alleged fraudulent activities within the government.
Parading the suspect at the state command the DSS in Minna, the state of director, Dr. Larry Obiagwu, said Sampson was picked up by his men at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja while on his way to Minna to collect the said amount.

Sampson who works with the NTA Asaba, Delta state, as a producer/cameraman, operates under the name Fajiro Oliver, also works with Elomboh Communications, an online news medium.
Obiagwu explained that Sampson and two others, Stanley Gene and Francis Arinze both now at large, co-founded the Secret Reporters Group (SRG) with the alleged sole objective of blackmailing government officials and heads of organisations for pecuniary benefits.

He said in July and August, the suspect alerted top officials of the Niger state government on a threat to expose fraudulent activities taking place within the government or be paid N50 million to drop the story.
Obiagwo, however said that Sampson and his accomplices did not carry out any investigation on the Niger state government and that as a member of staff of the NTA in Delta state, Niger State is not part of his jurisdiction.
Speaking to journalists, the suspect said he had nothing to do with the alleged demand of N50 million from the state government, saying he was only on his way to Minna to balance his story.
