Malaysian-based Nigerian actor cum director Abbey Abimbola popularly known as Crackydon, is set to release an action-packed movie titled "Bad cop".

The movie is a follow up on his recent production "Blackout", which is currently among the most streamed movies across Asia and Africa as well as receiving rave reviews on Wikipedia and other digital platforms.

Featuring Ali Nuhu, Etinosa Idemudia, Femi Branch, Ike Onyeama, Denrele Edun and other top shots in the movie industry, "Bad cop" is a detailed and interesting storyline with an unwavering approach to unearthing societal ills, betrayal, love triangle, segxwal violence and more.

According to the director Crackydon, the movie will also feature other stars from Malaysia and further help to link African-inspired content to international audience.

"There have been lots of efforts putting this project up, Badcop is not your regular movie but somewhat international standard and will pack all the thrills, twist and captivating scenes", CrackyDon shared in a review of the movie project.

Black out: Nigerian Malaysian-based actor Abbey Abimbola bags international award for action-packed movie

Abbey Abimbola, actor from Osun state has continued to trademark his impact on the Malaysian entertainment scene. The popular stunt actor recently won the Mumbai entertainment International film festival award 2022 for his action-packed movie production "Blackout."

The movie which was released in October 2021 features some A-list actors from Malaysia and Nigeria such as Segun Arinze, Ayo Mogaji, Shotayo Shobola, Murphy, Afolabi among others. So far, it has gained widespread recognition across Nigerian and Malaysian cinemas.

One of Nigeria's most prominent models, beauty queen turned Philanthropist, Precious Obisoso is gearing up properly to represent Nigeria at the famous Miss International world finals 2022 billed to hold on December, 13th at the Dome City, Tokyo, Japan.

The 24 years old model emerged grand winner at the 2019 beauty of Africa International pageant where she earned the title for Miss International Nigeria.

In august 2022, she was featured in a popular USA lifestyle and inspirational magazine, Sharinaworld. On account of her community service as a beauty queen, Precious has delivered several aid services to the less privileged, empowered youths, and women across Abia state and Rivers state respectively.

On what makes her different while preparing for the international pageant, she said " I have had to put in lots of preparations. Though not really easy, I believe in my inherent quality and quite confident i will make a difference in the pageant".


Indeed, precious has proven over the years that she’s not just beauty and brains but also beauty with a clear purpose.  As she departs for Japan on 29th November to compete in the pageant, she will be hoping to make history by becoming the first African to win miss international crown in 60 years.

The President of African Renaissance and Diaspora Network (ARDN), Dr Djibril Diallo, has announced that the 2022 Africa Open for Business Summit will be held at the United Nations Headquarters, New York on Thursday, 29 September 2022, at 3:00pm Eastern Time, on the occasion of the Seventy-Seventh Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The theme for the summit, "Economic Empowerment of Women through African Continental Free Trade Area," falls within the framework of ARDN's Red Card Campaign to put an end to all forms of gender-based discrimination and violence.

Speaking during a press conference held to unveil the programme theme, Dr. Diallo noted that the Summit seeks to inspire and empower women leadership in the private sector and across sectors, highlight and normalize Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women), and emphasize the importance of ensuring that business and trade on the continent is conducted in a sustainable and responsible manner.

"Africa is a continent of enormous hope and promise; and the AfCFTA, and its innovation, is reflective of this hope and promise," said Dr. Diallo. "However,  it must be reiterated that unless women are able to share, on an equitable basis, in its fruits and benefits, AfCFTA will be a moral failure and never achieve its true potential."

"This year's Summit seeks to ensure that women's choices, voices and leadership are, and remain, front and centre in discussions about, and in the implementation of, AfCFTA," Dr. Diallo noted.

Adding his voice, Akeju, ARDN Red Card Goodwill Ambassador, media director, and executive producer for the campaign theme song noted that the influence of entertainment, particularly music has helped spotlight the growth of Africa while calling for cross-border partnership for sustainable business and development of the African continent.

Kenyan-born Messry Lung'atso is the Winner of the 3rd African Edition of the Beauty of Africa International (Baip) 2022. She set the record as the third winner of the annual prestigious African pageant held over the weekend at the Sheraton Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria.


She see off competition from 10 delegates from various African countries to emerge as the grand queen. Other placed winners at the pageant competition includes, Ghana's Prisca Abah who was crowned 1st runner-up and Miss Nigeria, Okereke Juliana who placed second.

Miss Bolarinde Roseline, representing Ekiti state has emerged the winner, The Beauty of Africa International Pageant (Baip) 2022.

Roseline, 27, beat 12 other contestants to win the highly prestigious Crown in Africa at the 15th edition of the cultural Pageant held on Friday, 9th September at the Ladi kwali hall, Sheraton hotel, Abuja, Nigeria.

Other winners who emerged at the Pageant includes, Queen Johnson Rosemary; Baip 1st runner-up, Queen Peace Adoga ; Baip 2nd runner-up; Queen Okoroafor Chinaza; Baip 3rd runner-up, Queen Atibaka Onajite, Baip 4th Runner-up and Queen Yusuf Zuleihat; Baip 5th runner-up.

According to the founder, Abass Akeju, a US-based multimedia executive, he described "Loud in Africa" as a "series exploring the background stories of some of Africa's music cultures, creative experts, challenges and inspiration behind some of their dominant projects".

In the first episode, Flavour explained his foray into the music industry, role model, motivation amongst others.

"I started playing drums in church, and while at it i got inspired by some of the artists performing during concerts in church and was motivated to be just like them", he said.

Multi-talented, award winning Sierra Leone raised; American trained actress, producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist and humanitarian Winstina Taylor has continued to etch her name in the hearts of entertainment players across Africa and the United States of America with her penchant for professionalism and excellence.



Over the past decade, she has continued to champion the cause of African entertainment in the diaspora, particularly acting where she has saturated her fame. 


Born on the 5th of July in  Sierra Leone, Winstina quickly found her passion for acting at a young age and hasn’t looked back. She attended Prince George community College where she earned her registered nurse degree and her master’s degree in Nursing education at Walden University, both in Usa. Currently, Winstina is pursuing her doctor of nursing degree (DNP).


She continues to hone her craft and expand her horizon, constantly creating new platforms for new and undiscovered talents to shine. In a recent interview, she was quoted as saying , "As a movie director and producer, i have had the opportunity to meet young talents, both in the movie and generally entertainment industry. I love to inspire and encourage them, leaning towards this path has given me a deep sense of fulfilment, unwavering satisfaction and am commited to do more".



As a producer, Winstina has worked on several movie projects including,

Scarlet side chick chronicles, Games on Red Rose, and nurses from hell to mention but a few. 


Akeju, a media executive and founder of Aflik, an agency partnering with winstina in distributing her movie projects across the globe lauded her widespread impacts in the industry. 


"I am constantly amazed by Winstina's craft and dedication to pushing African line and culture in all her movies. She's indeed a source of inspiration for youths who may perhaps wants to follow her career path", he said. 



In recognition of her achievements in the movie industry as well as for her work as a humanitarian, Winstina has been nominated for the Sierra Leone Hero’s Award 2019 African Community Achievement,Vigor Awards International 2017- Achievement award, LANFA 2017- Best supporting actress for the movie “Bigamy”, Diaspora nominee best actress NFCA 2014 amongst others.

The Beauty of Africa International pageant (Baip) has announced Egunyinka Oluwatosin Alexandra, the 4th Runner up BAIP 2021 as Nigeria's representative at the Miss Globe 2022 World finals

The event which will be held on 15, October 2022 at the capital city of Albania, Tirana will play host to delegates from across the world.


In a post made on instagram, the Baip organisation confirmed Egunyinka Oluwatosin's appointment and called on Nigerians to support her,

Egunyinka Oluwatosin is a Licensed Dental technologist who graduated from the Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy, Enugu State. An astute leader, public speaker and philanthropist who have championed various humanitarian projects.

She currently works at the Regional Centre For Surveillance and Disease control for the Economic Community Of West African States .


Yinka has earned remarks for her flawless beauty, intellectual kneeness, leadership role among other exceptional qualities. She was crowned at the 14th edition of Baip competition held last year in Bayelsa state.


She will be hoping to build on the success of the last Nigeria's representative at the pageant, Miss Esther Ogechi Gabriel who emerged as the first Nigerian and west African delegate to place 2nd at the Miss Globe pageant competition.
