The 5-year old relationship between a couple ended on a tragic note when the husband, Victor Onyemaechi Okoh, an okada rider, allegedly tricked his wife, Patricia Okoh (Nee Ojere), 24, to a farm and butchered her for money-making ritual.

As at the time of the incident, the late Patricia, left a child and was three months pregnant.

P.M.NEWS learnt that Okoh allegedly committed the dastardly act in a farm at Igbodo near Agbo in Ika North East Local government Area of Delta State.

Our correspondent located the late Patricia’s parents, Pa Johnson Ojere and mother, Madam Ojere at Abaro Village where they reside.

Pa Ojere told P.M.NEWS that Pastor Charles, Victor Okoh’s brother came to the village to inform him that his daughter was missing.

He said he directed the suspect to report himself to the police at Agbor.

The late Patricia’s father said his daughter and Victor Okoh lived together as husband and wife but they had not approached his family for traditional wedding or payment of dowry.

Investigations revealed that Okoh, a native of Igbodo, reported the matter and he was arrested and detained at the police station before the matter was transferred to Umunede Police Station.

In a petition to the State Commissioner of Police, the late Patricia’s father, Pa Ojere alleged that after killing his daughter in the farm, Okoh dismembered her. He alleged further that  her head, private part, arms were parts of the deceased missing.

Pa Ojere advocated the transfer of the case from Umunede Police Station which he said were investigating the incident at “millipede speed.”

A source in Asaba confirmed to P.M.NEWS that the case has been transferred to Asaba Division and that interrogation of the three suspects in the case had commenced.

Elder brother of the deceased, Christopher Ojere, a serving police officer in Lagos said he suspected his sister was butchered on 16 February.

He confirmed Pa Ojere’s assertion that the deceased and Victor Okoh were not formally wedded.

During a call at the couple’s residence at 47, Imendia Street, Agbor, neighbours kept sealed lips. None of them was ready to discuss the incident.
