The news of the arrest of Nollywood actor, Babatunde Omidina aka Baba Suwe is generating a lot bad comment from fellow actors and actresses who described his action as shameful and unbecoming of someone of his status.
 
Immediately the news broke out, popular Nollywood stars were contacted for comments about the report and none of them seems happy about it.
 
Here is their comments:

BabaJide Kosoko:
“Are you sure it is true? If it is, it is madness. It is madness I repeat. I can hardly believe the story. What else does he want in life? This is madness, complete madness I say.”

Sunday Omobolanle aka Pappy Luwe:
“But I can’t believe that what I am hearing is true. A friend who is in London spoke with me on phone and said that he saw the story in the on-line edition of P.M.NEWS. Sorry I will speak with you later.”

Tunji Bamishigbin:
“If it is true that Baba Suwe is involved in drug peddling, then he does not deserve the position and respect the Nigerian society has accorded him.It is also a big shame and it is very disappointing because the society sees us as the mirror through which they watch themselves and if we are found where we are not supposed to be, it is very shameful.”

Remi Oshodi:
“Whoever is not satisfied with whatever he or she has will end up where he is not supposed to be. We are the mirror through which the society mirrors itself and as parents we should live by example. It is a big disgrace to us all.”

Femi Brainard:
“This shameful act must be stopped because Wunmi was the first victim, and because she was pardoned does not mean that Baba Suwe will go scot free. What he has done is a slap on us and the entire movie industry. This time around he must be made to face the music.”

Hon. Rotimi Makinde:
“It is a rude shock. “It’s indeed a disgrace to many of us and the industry I so cherish. I reserve further comments for now until I get details.”

A Nigerian citizen, Moukhtari Ibrahim Aminu, has been arrested and detained for 10 days allegedly for “insulting” Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State on facebook. In addition, Mustapha Saad, a magistrate in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital, has further remanded the accused in prison until February 7th 2011.

Moukhtar’s arrest stemmed from a message he posted on his page on January 18 2011, it not clear if he also posted the same on Governor Lamido’s facebook fan page, where curiously he is also an administrator.

The birth of little Etimbuk heralded joy in the family and communities of Udung Otong, in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

This sad incident happened in Akwa Ibom. This 3 months old baby boy, Etimbuk, had his right hand was chopped off by his step brother after a quarrel with the baby's mum.

The perpetrator of the evil act, Mr. Nathaniel John, 30, was killed by the youths of their community after committing the atrocity.

Mother to-be Beyonce is experiencing the many perks of pregnancy including weird smells lol! During a recent interview she said she hates the way hubby Jay Z smells now! “Oh! My nose is like [mimics radar] ‘doot, doot, doot’! I smell everything! It enhances it. If it smells bad, I smell it! My husband’s fragrance, his one that I always love, I hate right now. So, thank God I love this one.”

Ghana’s entertainment industry was shocked some months ago after reports that a producer had used a shaving stick to graze down the pubic hair of an actress whilst shooting a movie.

The word ‘shave’ therefore started to raise eyebrows within the Ghanaian entertainment circles whenever it was mentioned.

Latest reports from the USA, where actor John Dumelo is currently shooting his upcoming reality show, indicates that a sexy Chinese girl, Lee, has shaved the hair off the head of the actor.

According to John, he found the Chinese girl’s shaving sexy.It is not common in Ghana for females to offer barbering services, as most of them are into taking care of women’s hair.

Dumelo’s only experience of a woman barbering him was when his mum used to do that for him when he was a little boy.

He said entering a plush hair salon in the United State of America and being told that a lady would cut his hair was something new he had to adjust to.

Radical Islamic groups in the West African nation are dramatically stepping up their campaign, security sources said.
