| | Subject: Nigeria delivers relief materials to Haiti

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has finally delivered relief items approved by the federal government for victims of the earthquake disaster that devastated Haiti on January 12, 2010.
Director General of the Agency, Mohammed Audu-Bida, who delivered the items to the Haitian authorities at Port-au-Prince on Tuesday, hoped they would help cushion the impact of the disaster.
He said the gesture was to support efforts by the Haitian government and other international agencies to stabilise the conditions of the victims and help in the overall recovery of the country from the disaster.
Mr Audu-Bida also conveyed the sympathy of the government and people of Nigeria to the victims and called for more support from the international community towards the victims, urging the Haitian authorities to channel the assistance to the deserving beneficiaries.
The Haitian Minister of Interior, who was represented by Pinchinat Pierre-Louis, thanked the federal government for the gesture and assured that the items would be distributed to the intended beneficiaries accordingly. He noted the prominent position of Nigeria in the comity of nations and said the support was a clear proof of its concerns for the others.
Sympathy for Nigeria
Mr Pierre-Louis also conveyed the sympathy of the Haitian government to the Nigerian government over the death of the late president. Umaru Musa Yar'Adua.
The agency's director of relief and rehabilitation, Olusegun Edward Ojo who accompanied Mr Audu-Bida, led Haitian officials to inspect the items before officially handing them over; the items included medicament, clothing and toiletries.
Most of the victims of the earthquake are now living in camps supported by the international community.

If yes, your proofs please. my brother be sincere with urself. do u really believe this little girl at just 13yrs of age knew what she is going into? i strongly believed yerima must ve used money to brain-washed the young girl's stupid parents into pushing the girl into it. why couldn't he wait until the girl is 18yrs.. so she can decide if she really like to marry a man old enough to be her own father. In life there is always a lesson to be learn. I will never take things as a joke and then allow what should be a lesson to me to pass me. Life passed experiences thought me a valuable lesson. what for? there is nothing bad in being the first wife, even the judge judging the the case has 4 wivies. abeg the woman should stop dreaming and carried her role from madam to iya ile and the house gilr new role to iyawo Prince, you touched on something that was not addressed in the article. The JUDGE has FOUR WIVES The Judge should recuse himself because he has four wives already. This case is dead in Nigeria. Nigerian constitution allows a man to marry multiple wives. The woman need to fight in Europe for all the properties over there citing the injustice in Nigeria and that the man has all the companies and properties in Nigeria as well. In Europe, she should be able to get a sympathetic hearing based on polygamy as well. The woman does not have to agree to be in a polygamous relationship. This Judge will make sure that the woman will lose to ensure that his four wives not get any smart ideas.  | | | | |

| @dupseyexotic, I wonder why the woman hasn't dragged his ass to a UK court. They wont give her justice in Nigeria. She needs to drag this guy to some court in the states or in britain. I hope they wont give her that Jurisdiction crap.
Sha if he has got a house in any of those places then I guess he cant yarn about jurisdiction.
I swear that woman deserves all the money. In fact make dem give am two billion. Wetin d husband need all that money for? He doesn't need it. He just needs a million naira worth of condom. And im no go fit use the condoms finish. Ha ha ah ah ah aha hah.
