You could recommend for her but in a nice way....giving out her number without her consent was very wrong. And do u know her choice of a man? Must she marry any two-legged' thing with a rope dangling between the legs all in the name of being over-ripe for marriage? You guys should have found a way of introducing them to each other physically instead of giving the guy her number!

Don't they know the government house if they have the nerves to face the governor. These people are raving mad! Stupid cowards! Exactly! We Nigerians do not believe in ourselves and in one another very much. I know of a company which has some foreigners as Unit Heads. Would u believe that those foreigners earn a minimum of 350% more than the Nigerians? And they have the same job descriptions....it's so unfortunate! In Ghana, all companies must have a Ghanaian CEO...but what do we have in Nigeria? Any idiot could come from his country and become an MD/CEO....the only condition is the Chairman must be a Nigerian and these foreign companies have a nice way of dealing with this-they put anybody's name as the Chairman as long as he's Nigerian-Chairman wey no get mouth....this is not in all cases but in most cases!

1607  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / BRT Bus Kills Okada Rider on: 10-02-2011 09:50 AM
BRT bus kills Okada rider

Motorcyclists otherwise known as Okada riders yesterday torched two luxury buses in the fleet of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) to protest the death of one of their colleagues crushed on the busy Mile 12 Expressway.
An eyewitness told Daily Sun that trouble started when the Okada rider carried two passengers on the expressway against official regulation.

He said in a bid to evade being arrested by officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the Okada rider ran into an oncoming BRT bus after dropping the two passengers in a hurry.
The death of the motorcylist reportedly drew ire of his colleagues, who chased away all LASTMA officials in the area; invaded BRT buses within reach, and set two of them (a red and a blue bus) ablaze.

The confrontation caused commotion in the area, with people scampering for safety as policemen drafted to the area shot sporadically into the air to scare the irate Okada riders and many others away from the scene.
Buses operating under the BRT scheme withdrew services leaving many commuters stranded at the various bus stops. An Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Godwin Nwobodo who was on ground at the time Daily Sun arrived the scene confirmed that the deceased rider ran into the BRT corridor to evade arrest and was crushed in the process.

He said he was at the scene to maintain the peace, adding that nobody was arrested as a result of the incident.
Police spokesman, Sam Jinadu, a Deputy Superintendent, confirmed that a motorcyclist was killed but that the situation has been brought under control. However, observers believe the ugly incident that led to the death of the Okadaman and the burning of the two buses would have been avoided, if laws were backed by strict enforcement. According to them, the ugly incident was a combination of highhandedness and overzealousness on the part the LASTMA officials and flagrant disobedience to law and order of the Okada rider.

Daily Sun was reminded that besides the ban on okada rider plying the highways, they were also prohibited from carrying two passengers, a directive they consistently flout with impunity. Others blamed the recklessness of the BRT drivers for the Mile 12 killing, even as they stressed the need for the operations of the LASTMA officials to approach their duty with human face. A motorcyclist who simply identified himself as Babatope said the way LASTMA officials treat okada riders would warrant anyone to run for safety.

“I don’t blame the deceased, he knew what he would have gone through if he was arrested. Apart from physical assault, he would have paid through his nose,” he said, adding that LASTMA officials have no mercy. “They don’t believe in corrective measures, their own is arrest and extortion.” Another rider, Monye Michael said: “We are going through hell in the hands of officials of LASTMA. Sometimes, if you don’t have money in your pocket to part with, they will take you to ATM, where you will give the money requested from you.”

He wants the state government to reorient their men. “Sometimes, they will just cook up a story against okada riders that they have broken traffic laws and there is no way to defend yourself.” Meanwhile, Governor Babatunde Fashola has ordered a thorough probe into the matter. Fashola, who spoke with aviation correspondents said he has already received preliminary report on the matter but would comment better when the full report was out.
“Well, I have received a preliminary report on the incident and I have ordered an investigation into it.

Therefore, I think it will be prejudicial to jump into any conclusions now without getting the details. But I think what is important to be said is that I doubt that any Okada man will leave his home in the morning with one sole mission to go and fight LAGBUS and I also doubt that any LAGBUS man will leave his home with the sole mission to go and fight Okada man. This is why I have consistently advocated peaceful co-existence and tolerance.

“Incidents will happen that will provoke our temper; I am human too and at every time I have found it in me to control my temper. And this is what all of us must do as a people. I think it is important here to stress that violence and anger are not options for a people who want development. It is not a strategy; violence and anger is not a strategy. It is signs of weakness. It is superior thinking that endures; violence is only a flash and it evaporates. Therefore, when we appeal to people, we should also know that anger management is something that we must develop”, he said.

While regretting the burning of the two buses, Fashola said it would further bring hardship to Lagosians.
“Now, the burning of two LAGBUSES, if that is true, it means that those who participated in it have just also contributed in burning the assets that we acquired with their money. This is tax payers' money; it doesn't belong to Mr. Fashola. It is collective asset for our own benefit, so if we buy those buses with your money and my money and somebody decides to set it ablaze, has it really contributed to our development?” he queried.

Did u read the post very well? The guy is NOT...N-O-T considering a divorce! And yes, let's be real, a lot of things are easier said than done. The same way we have seen men impregnating another woman outside wedlock is the same way we have seen a lot of men forgiving their wives after truly showing remorse. Just hope & pray u don't find urself in that situation, some conditions may compel u to forgive her. Yes, u may punish her severely. I support this so that it would serve as a deterrent to the woman...but, c'mmon, time heals all wounds. Like I wrote b4, what if she was gang-raped due to no fault of hers? I am not supporting the woman, I STRONGLY believe that a woman who sleeps with another man while she's legally married, might as well pack out of the husband's house! but, there's always a room for forgiveness of first-time offenders!

Overall, my advice to the guy is PLEASE URSELF....FOLLOW UR HEART....STOP SEEKING ADVICE FROM OTHERS because a lot of people would give u an advice which they themselves could not follow!
What if it was the husband who slept with another woman? Is does God forbid adultery for only women and permits it for only men?

I'm so shock about most of u guys comment, telling the guy to forgive which is good anyway and continue with the wife as along the wife was the one who made the confession to the husband because she wasn't caught by him. the question is why did she open her private vow for someone else to have a taste of it tufiaka. furthermore if the man continue to live with wife and he wants to insert sim card, and the thought just flash to his mind that someone else has also insert another sim card inside his own private vow. what do u guys think will happen to the guy mind at that moment? the pain is always re occurrence pain. is needless for him to continue with the woman. forgive is very good but he should send the woman away and go for DNA test for the kids if they actually belongs to him before H.I.V TEST to acertain his present status at the moment.

Its wrong for couples who are married to cheat either man or woman for the act are regarded as an adultery which is not pleasant in the sight of any living human being and mostly our almighty GOD. you see the greatest trust a man or woman will bestowed upon their marriage is the matrimonial sex which can not be defile at any given time till maybe seconstances break away the marriage, may be death or other isuess. adultery brings irreparable damage that cannot be eraise. a woman adultery is the worst for so many reasons. 'haven't u see a situation where by a man will wrongfully impregnate another woman outside his wedlock. after a while the shame will be unfold to the woman and problem will arise but still the man will accept the child and reconcil with the wife. but if a man doubt the paternity of his children it brings disater. haven't u heard of some stupid guys that will say i have slept with different kinds of girls and if he say he wants to marry any of those girls best friend and they will oblige. can a girl be so bold and say i have slept with many men including friends and that will tarnish her image immediately. when sarah lure abraham to sleep with their maid, GOD was not angry with abraham rather he was displease with the unborn child and said to abraham u must cast out that child. there was a king Abraham visited in the bible, when the king ask abraham who sarah was and abraham replied that sarah is her sister and the king took sarah for his wife and GOD started tormenting the king and the king ask abraham why was he lying to him when he knew that sarah was his wife. women are very sensitive when it comes to cheating.

2)Intelligent - Yes! No compromising this......essential for the guy's good & safety
3)Gentle - Not always nice; some guys need iron ladies
4)Brave - of course but woman nature can be an impediment
5)Optimists - Yes! Essential for the couple's social development
6)Obedient - well....the must give room for that and reciprocate
7)Bombshell - meaning? in bed? If in bed, yes, she must be!
8)Sporting - gawd! I hate sports....not necessarily an essential quality

In Conclusion,

Has your mum done things to offend/upset her? You know we women and our nature! Considering her pregnant status, she might get too irritated/annoyed easily. Nonetheless, she's got no right to disrespect your mother...and u, yes u're still a baby as far as marriage is concerned but since u chose to do what elders do, u automatically become an elder and should bear the consequences! Be a man, talk to her as a man should, insist that your mum should be respected and work on living separately from your mum (if possible). And please, be advised to soft pedal after the delivery of this child, it was a good thing u did not resort to abortion but please, give plenty space so that u & ur woman can upgrade ur lives/standard of living by doing something meaningful with ur lives and so that the baby would not bear the brunt of your recklessness......

Buhari and Jonathan being stoned is not an ideal thing. Whether by Christians and Muslims or by political thugs, stoning them sure has political rather than religious undertone. Whoever participates in stoning anyone is not a peace-loving person and surely is a political thug. You do not register your dislike of someone's candidacy by exhibiting an animal behaviour in public! and this is not peculiar to Nigeria....a journalist hurled a shoe at Obama......and who cared whether he was a Muslim or Christian.....
