Forum / Politics / Re: Nasarawa protesters hurl stones at President Jonathan’s convoy |
on: 9-02-2011 04:40 PM
| throwing stones @ him dose not mean the headings should be centered to Muslims why not opposition party? It's high time for people to know that the abokis are not the only Muslims and to stop castigating Islam.
You do have a point there....I think the writer just concluded that since Jonathan is a Christian and BUhari is a muslim and Nassarawa is a state populated by Muslims majority, then the animals hurling the stones were Muslims.....

Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Huge difference between expatriates salaries and indigenous staff |
on: 9-02-2011 04:27 PM
| Pals, I don't know for sure if this topic has been discussed previously. I really need your take on this: Do you think the huge gap between the salary packages of expatriates and their indigenous equals is justified? Why should there be huge discrepancies between the salaries of expatriates and the indigenous staff who perform the same tasks as the expatriates? Don't you think these two groups should be paid equally as long as they do similar jobs? In Nigeria, an expatriate earns a whole lot more than Nigerians doing the same job as they do........
Do u agree that the government should enact a law in support of equal pay for equal tasks irrespective of race, skin colour etc?

| Two things: 1. She confessed herself; not that he caught her red-handed. That should tell him something: the wife's got conscience and she's remorseful. 2. He does not consider divorce as an option which means he's stuck with her for life....for these 2 reasons, he needs to tell himself he's got to forge ahead. Is this the worst thing that could've happened to him? We've heard of cases where the wife was gang-raped by armed robbers in the husband's presence! Or would he rather the wife did not confess to him? Yes, it's soooooooooooo devastating, so difficult to deal it but with time, he would overcome the pains. I advise he takes sometime off home and goes somewhere nice to cool off. Then he should read books about the gains of forgiving people........But sha, before anything, he should confirm whether the wife is pregnant or not because na dat one go spoil everything finish o! | | |

| Why they can't ask the Government to divide the country, that could have serve them better
Divide the country? They would never do that because it would be against their best interest....they have no mineral resources, no overall sound education...what would they fall back on if we divide? They would NEVER crave for that...and like I said earlier, they're cowards and they are simply CRAZY....zombies....

| God i pray make this boy no suffer for im life because this delivery inside public bus is not born with golden spoon
I beg to differ Mister! Jesus Christ was not born in a palace. Where was the Late MKO Abiola born? How was he raised? A lot of the great people in the world today were either born with a wooden spoon or with no spoon @ all. Delivering the baby in a BRT bus does not determine or alter the baby's destiny. Being born in the best hospital in the world does not translate into good luck for the baby...abeg!

| I think the guy has something up his sleeves. Getting angry because he was asked to bring some things impromptu may not be out of place because some families do make unreasonable demands on the would-be husbands; but taking it to the extent of calling the wedding off is very nonsensical to me.....and if I get your story correctly, he was the only ONE who went for the introduction, why? Is an introduction (in the context of marriage) not meant to be between the families of the to-be bride & groom? This simply means the guy's family members were not even party to (or worse still, aware of) the introduction! Otherwise, the groom's family would have asked for the list of requirements and provided them. I think the girl did not do her home work well in her choice of husband (I may be wrong) as a lot of us do. The guy is the type Yorubas call ALAINIKANSE (someone who's not interested in doing something but just putting up pretences). I implore the girl to bring the guy's family into this matter and at the same time, implore her own people to be subtle about their demands-they ain't selling the girl off for crying out loud! Ultimately, the girl should beg GOD to intervene and lead her aright. Getting rid of a pregnancy is no joke! And it may be that the guy is just the temperamental type who says anything and acts tough when angry but reverses all he says after exhausting his anger...she should take it easy and not abort the baby. I wish her all the best..... | | |

| Some of us here are just talking out of experience. Let me let us know one thing, scan date is not reliable a times, it might give you a date and you may deliver one week before or after that date or some days before or after the date. so is not something you can rely on. it has happened to me whereby i applied for maternity leave 2 weeks before delivery date but my boss refused to approved the date i applied for and shifted it but thank God i did not delivered that week it was about three weeks after the date scan and doctor gave me and my second child was a day to the date scan/doctor gave me. so you see you cant depend on scan/doctors date it might go down or up it is only God that knows.
There is always this clause to the scan date: + or - 2 weeks. So delivery can occur from 2 weeks before the scan date and 2 weeks after the scan date. For her, I congratulate her because it was obvious she had a quick labour. There are women who spend days at it! She was lucky.....
