The system of looting during OBJ's administration is to invest in Nigeria with the stolen money that is why Atiku's name is missing..have you ever thought of it that OBJ and Atiku were the only serving President and vice president who built universities while in office...But Yorubas didn't applaud OBJ wrong deeds in office, they criticized him than any other tribes in Nigeria then.

I am not surprised at all, if you are , it shows you have not been following what is going on in your country through the right media channel or may be too sentimentally dump to understand the present situation of your country. I have read a report on Sahara Reporters before the elections that says Nigeria is so broke that the most financial institutions are planning a massive retrenchment but GEJ  plead with them to wait till after  the elections..Your Economy is indeed the biggest and healthiest in Africa, keep believing in paper works and cheap publicity by a government that care less about you..Thank God for the right thinking Nigerians who voted this corrupt ,clueless government out...

27  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Finally, Nigerian Military Finds Buhari’s ‘Missing’ Certificate. on: 5-04-2015 07:16 PM
The Nigerian Army has finally found the missing certificate which has raised contention as to the eligibility of Gen Mohammadu Buhari to contest the presidential election.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released statement on its Facebook alleging that someone from the Peoples Democratic Party must have hid Buhari’s certificate in order to bar him from contesting the presidential poll.

The release by APC reads:

Matters Arising

Someone working for the PDP obviously removed the certificate from his file at the Defence Headquarters.
This is part of the strategies the PDP deployed in their campaign of calumny.

All Change Agents who worked tirelessly to repel the Jonahideens should pop something wherever you are. We know it was foolhardy to say that Buhari had no certificate. But try as we did to convince them that this was a non issue, they refused to shift ground. It was even most disgraceful that the Director General of the PDP Presidential Campaign organisation was a Retired Colonel, in the person of Ahmadu Ali. He should have cautioned them about bringing the Military to disrepute. He did not.

This singular act as far as I am concerned did more damage than good to the PDP.

Beyond bringing out Buhari’s certificate, there is an urgent need to restore pride and sanity to the military. As it stands now, the Nigerian Army, is an Army of anything goes! There have to be a clean sweep and overhaul of the military from top to bottom! The entire top echelon at the Defence Headquarters should turn in their resignation and leave with President Goodluck Jonathan on the 29th of May, so that the process of rebuilding and restoration shall begin in earnest.

To God be all the Glory!

The APC UK has also confirmed the news on its twitter handle, buttressing the party’s claim that Buhari’s certificate had been found by the Nigerian Army.

I understand why this thug is bitter, his monthly illegal allocation will stop soon, illegal contract will also stop.. This dude is not fighting for the people of Niger delta but it's a pity not all of them can see that, they all worked to make Jonathan a regional President.  He was supported and you dare not criticize him even if he is wrong. Even OBJ was criticized by his own people..Dokubo has forgotten so quickly that few people from the south south were among the people who fought for GEJ to take over power after Yar'adua's disappearance, the people who fought for GEJ were mostly South western Nigerians (I am sorry to explain this way but this administration has divided Nigeria along ethnic and religious line)..None of the people from south south and south east that support GEJ can mention his tangible achievement in the past 5 years..I would love to see someone coming here with biggest economy jargons and I will ask the person to go and make his research on the growth rate of the economy before and during GEJ administration..In a simple language, Nigeria is almost a failed state but thank God for the good people of Nigeria who stood for the truth and survival of our dear country, they are able to think without religion or ethnic sentiments.

You don't know anything about Buhari so you don't need to criticize him.. The former British Ambassador to  Nigeria said in Chatam House that he is indeed surprised to see the kind of modest life Buhari lives as a Nigeria former head of state and a politician..so you don't expect such person to replace his family house with a mansion..Our mentality is part of our problems, we expect our politicians to be corruption free and yet we want them to build mansions for their relatives, forgetting that they are supposed to serve us and earn salaries...In fact, we need change of crazy mentality...

33  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Morocco-Nigeria spat over royal phone call on: 11-03-2015 06:56 PM
Morocco has recalled its ambassador from Nigeria, accusing the authorities there of using King Mohammed VI in an election campaign.

Its foreign ministry issued a statement, denying the king had spoken by phone to Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan, as had been stated by Nigeria.

The North Africa kingdom denounced such "unethical practices", it said.

Nigeria has denied that the king was being used to win over Muslim voters.

Mr Jonathan, a Christian from southern Nigeria, is facing a strong challenge in the 28 March elections from opposition candidate Muhammadu Buhari, who is popular in Nigeria's mainly Muslim north.

'Astonishment'
The Nigerian ministry of foreign affairs released a statement on Sunday, denying reports that President Jonathan had been snubbed by King Mohammed because he was trying to curry favour with Muslim voters.

"This information is absolutely not correct as the president did in fact speak to the Moroccan monarch... both leaders spoke extensively over the phone on matters of mutual interest and concern," it said.

However, Morocco's foreign ministry responded by saying it wanted to state in the "clearest and strongest terms" that "there has never been a phone conversation" between the two men.

"The king has actually declined the request of the Nigerian government because it is part of the internal electioneering," Morocco's official news agency Map quoted the statement as saying.

"The kingdom of Morocco expresses its astonishment and denunciation to these unethical practices that are contrary to the spirit of responsibility that must prevail in relations between states."

As a consequence Morocco's Abuja ambassador was being recalled immediately for consultations, it said.

35  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Osun State Workers Protest Against State Government Over Unpaid Salaries on: 11-03-2015 09:16 AM
You should all remember that the allocation for each state has been drastically reduced by the Federal Government because the country is broke or let me say because of some austerity measures in the biggest economy in Africa where crude sale in the Period of 4-5 years summed up to 469 Billion dollar but no savings. For example, River state's allocation used to be around 20 Billion Naira but over the period of 11 months or so it was reduced to 12 Billion Naira and at the moment less than that. Rotimi Amaechi was able to pay workers' salaries because of the high IGR (Internal Generated Revenue) in River state...That is the part of the Austerity measures taken by the FG. Though, the governors of the states involved do not have any excuse for not paying salaries, they also have problems of accountability. Some other states are still owing  ..Delta state is still owing some teachers' salaries, as at December about 11 states couldn't pay salaries..
36  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Introducing Patience Jonathan: Nigeria’s Natural Disaster – Japheth J. Omojuwa on: 9-03-2015 10:50 AM
"Wetin him dey find again? Him dey drag with him pikin mate…Old man wey no get brain, him brain don die pata pata.”

“Anybody That Come And Tell You “Change,” Stone That Person”

“Our people no dey born shildren wey dem no dey fit count

Our men no dey born shildren throway for street. We no dey like the people for that side.” – Dame Patience Jonathan.

If you were not privy to the source of the above statements, you would be forgiven to think I was quoting from a book on illiterate women still grappling with the issue of Nigeria’s unity. The above words were delivered by Nigeria’s First Lady, Patience Jonathan, at various campaign grounds from Cross River State to Kogi. She was on national TV when she made these statements. For the sake of those who don’t understand pidgin and poorly spoken English, the First Lady was taking direct shots at the All Progressives Congress’s presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari. She also reserved ungracious words for northerners when she suggested they mostly just have kids only to abandon them. In her worst display of why she should never ever have been seen near a First Lady let alone be one herself, Patience Jonathan has been on rampage embarrassing the presidency and indeed our country. It is a shameful sight to say the least. The only thing sadder than this is the fact that the authorities have looked on while the First Lady openly told her supporters to stone those who don’t tow the line of returning her husband, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as president.

What have we done? What have northerners done? What was the sin in trusting the Jonathans with power in 2011 and why, despite paying with death to loved ones and displayed family members, did the First Lady believe taking shots at northerners would guarantee the return of her family to the Villa?

Even if a place is reserved for some display of madness in politics, is such a place reserved for the office of the First Lady? Shouldn’t that office and whoever occupies it represent the best of Nigeria’s family values, kindness and decorum? Did we not have First Ladies, even under military governments, that were dignified in speech and in deed? Many will blame her lack of exposure for why she is who she is but that cannot be it, it is one thing to lack respect and be unenlightened, it is another to be unenlightened and to lack respect to boot. Dame Patience Jonathan is the embodiment of a badly educated woman who also doubles as an unenlightened woman who sees no wrong in inciting violence.

We need not look too far to find examples of First Ladies who brought class and elegance to the privileged office. They may have their own faults but few people will fault the elegance and class of the likes of Maryam Babangida and Stella Obasanjo. Looking to use Michelle Obama as an example of who Mrs. Patience Jonathan should emulate may be asking too much.

But if the First Lady does not know what is right and what not to say, especially on national television, does she not have media managers? Are they paid to urge her and her classless disrespectful self on or they are paid to make her look better? Even if they have given up on her getting better, would it be out of place for them to suggest she never appears on live TV? They could at least edit the unwholesome parts of her speech from the whole speech. If per chance the whole speech is unwholesome, would it not be better to make the speech available without its sound? That is, if the First Lady must be on television at all.

One saw that one or two men in the president’s campaign team said they saw nothing wrong in the Patience Jonathan statements. Now, it is one thing to want to earn a living, it is another thing to live life as though living beneath one’s beliefs is a way to earn a living. Or would anyone say stoning those who don’t agree with them tallies with the belief system of any civilized person for that matter? Haba! Should we begin to accord honourary titles to cows just because we are desperate to feed off their meat? Let us call a spade what it is, Madam Patience Jonathan is a disgrace to Nigerian women. Our women have certainly got more class.

Medals are now been used to campaign..I am sorry for Nigerians..All the best to those patriotic Nigerians who want good governance or  true change and people who truly understands what good governance means..For some people to believe this government and willing to do anything to keep  GEJ in power shows that Nigeria has little or no hope because PDP as a party has taken Nigerians for fools for so long and the situation seems to be getting worse in this administration.. I wonder why some people can't say the truth even if they know something is wrong. The ruling class are just there to enrich their pockets..I have seen how campaigns are done in a sane and civilised society, reasonable things are used for campaign because they know they are talking to sane people but because PDP knows they are talking to some fools that will believe everything ,they use all sort of rubbish for their campaign..If the Nigerian youths today refuse to think properly, search their conscience and vote rightly, the next generation will suffer more than  this generation of ours and history will be told how some people were controlled by sentiments and not being patriotic.

Lol..FFK is saying this to the uninformed in Nigeria and only fools like you will believe this shit you just said..Let assume GMB has Asthma, it won't stop him from living normally, Asthma is a strong contraction(obstruction) of the airways but could be reduced with the stimulation of  beta 2 receptor of the bronchial..As for the Dementia, I am sure he didn't ask a medical doctor before talking,I have  seen patients that have dementia, it interferes with their daily lives, their sense of reasoning and judgement is disturbed and they won't be able to pay attention ..I have seen Buhari granting better interviews than GEJ, making reasonable speeches than GEJ..is that someone who has Dementia? At 72 he toured all the 36 states and you said he has prostrate cancer?
