This topic is a very sensitive issue that I am taking my time to study the word and what it means. The last time I stopped at Proverbs 31:17, if you have been following me by going into the word you will have noticed. Right now let us move on from where we left off the last time
SHE TOOK JOY IN WHAT SHE DOES: ‘She perceiveth that her merchandise is good.’ The word "perceiveth" is the Hebrew word that means "taste." Literally, she tastes that her gain is good. She is reaping what she sowed by her diligent industry, and she is finding it to be a good harvest. She is seeing the results of the labors of her hands.  She learns that success results from her labors and she reaps the fruits of hard work. A successful woman is most respected and love by her husband, she become the apple eye of her husband and her household. Everything she does is perceived well not only by her but; with her household.
SHE IS THE LIGHT OF HER HOME: ‘Her candle (lamp) goeth not out by night.’ Her passion and her love for her household can’t be quenched or extinguished. They kept burning night and day. Her household can’t go hungry while she is around, neither will the house be in penury. Have you ever been in a house at night and it is dark? Two things happened to you in that darkness, one: you won’t see where you are going, and you will need to be careful while walking round the house and two: it would be a shame on you to be in the darkness with your household. A wonderful woman, takes away the shame of her husband when he can hardly afford to take care of the household, and brings peace into the house instead of the confusion that might rise due to the darkness.
SHE CAN’T BE FOUND IDLE: ‘She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.’ Despite the fact that she is working or engage herself with something to earn money for the up bring of her family, there would be no day and time you will find her being idle doing nothing. All her time is so precious to her; that’s why she is always successful in her homestead and anywhere she is….. People can always felt her presence. If a woman's hands are idle and if she is not engaged in worthwhile, constructive pursuits, then watch out!
SHE IS KIND TO PEOPLE: ‘She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.’ Not only her household enjoy the benefit of who she was and her good deeds. People from afar are also reached to with her kind and merciful heart. The word "poor" means "afflicted, humble." Remember (Lev. 19:10; 23:22), God told the Israelites: “that the gleanings from their vineyards and fields should be left for the poor of the land.” She faithfully obeyed the following command: "For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land." (Deut. 15:11). In so doing she brings the blessings of the Lord unto her household. Proverbs 17:5, "He who oppresses the poor reproaches, mocks and insults his Maker, but he who is kind and merciful to the needy honors Him."
SHE IS CONFIDENT OF THE HEALTH OF HER FAMILY: ‘She is not afraid of the snow for her household; for all her household are clothed with scarlet.’ After a wonderful woman had absolutely done what is necessary of her as a woman and a defendant of her homestead; she felt inner peace and rest of mind and assurance that nothing can befall her household, be it sickness, diseases, home accident, even the harsh condition of the weather. But the carelessness of a woman can put her family in danger or catastrophes that should have been prevented if only she gives concern to her household wellbeing. Lot of money would be wasted and precious time consumed trying to see the health restored; maybe in the process can leads to the lost of the household member.
SHE TAKES CARE OF HERSELF: ‘She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.’ This passage is trying to tell us that the wonderful woman did not dress in a shabby manner. She was industrious and enterprising, and she was able to purchase the finest materials, and with her own money; though gifts from her husband are also welcome, but 90% of what she has was actually taken care of by her. She did not consider it a mark of spirituality to go around looking impoverished, dilapidated, and threadbare.  Rather, as was often true under the former dispensation, material prosperity was a sign of God's blessing, and was not to be despised.  She wore expensive clothing, royal clothing, to match her regal and godly character. Her outward garments of beauty and splendor matched her inner beauty. It is important to remember that the wearing of costly garments did not come at the expense of her family or the poor, nor did it interfere with any of her God-given duties
HER HUSBAND BECAME IMPORTANT THROUGH HER: ‘Her husband is known in the gates,
when he sitteth among the elders of the land.’ A well-known proverb says: “behind every successful man is a woman.” Because of her godly character among her household and outside her household she became known far and near. A godly wife contributes greatly to the success and prosperity of her husband. Where would the man be without his godly, industrious, loving, faithful wife? It is not wrong if I try to compare a wonderful woman as an aroma, before you can desire to eat any food; it is first the aroma that attracted you, before the appetite to eat. In other words a wonderful woman is an aroma around her husband that sells him to the world.
SHE IS A SOURCE OF BLESSINGS TO OTHER PEOPLE: ‘She maketh fine linen and selleth it,
and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.’ As you know that a merchant is someone who buys and sells for gain. If you will recall that we talked about her talent in part two. Using her talent; fetches lot of gain to people who come in contact with her for business. Some women out there, no matter what you do with them you can regret that you ever know them, because anything they set their hands on can always turn out bad. Already they have never at one time being a blessing to themselves than becoming a blessing to other people.
SHE IS WITH BEAUTY: ‘Strength and honor are her clothing.’ A woman that must stand in beauty would be a very strong woman and with honor. Beautiful; isn’t just about what you are wearing, the jewelries you putting on, neither is talking about your makes up. When you take time to study most magazines you will agreed with me that most women making the front page aren’t that beautiful to say; but they have some exceptional characters that made them stand out among every other women that could be standing to grace that very front page of the magazines. A wonderful woman is always found with beauty that has become part of her and, would make her stands out wherever she might be.

…. It is obvious you didn’t expect to see the continuation of this “WHO IS A WONDERFUL WOMAN” part two. I purposely stop where I stopped in the first part, because I want to see how those treated issues will solve and touch most of the women out there. Alas! It has proved beyond my initial expectation and this has forced me to conclude other parts of the WONDERFUL WOMAN. Though I am not feeling too strong but I am meaning to finish treating this aspect of discussion soonest.
SHE IS A BREAD WINNER FOR HER FAMILY: ‘She is like the merchants' ships;
she bringeth her food from afar.’ Have you one time or the other come across a merchants’ ship before? If you have, you will notice that what the ship would be loaded with are commodities to be sold. Remember we talked about talent earlier; she can use her talent, and when I mean by using her talent, if she is good in cooking she can cook to sell just to bring in money to support her family. Some might seek for employment using their talent in any organization they might belong and in return they get pay for what they do. Women like this found it easier to do grocery shopping on their won than waiting for their husband to provide the money.
SHE STARTS THE DAY EARLIER: ‘she riseth also while it is yet night’ you will totally agree with me that it is great benefits to rising up early. When you take time to study ants, you will found out that their foods are mostly gathered very early in the morning before the sun could rise. Same thing with a wonderful woman, before anyone of the household could wake up; she is already up and running. Most people take advantage of early hours like this to do many things quietly without been disturbed or distracted. It is also an ideal time to spend with the Lord in quiet meditation and prayer, starting the day with Him.
SHE PROVIDES FOOD FOR HER HOUSEHOLD: ‘she giveth meat to her household and a portion to her maidens.’ One of the reasons she wakes up so early is to provide food for the family. She prepares a very nutritional and nourishing meal for her family for breakfast and the rest of the day. Most women hardly cook for their family in the house, they eat in the restaurants and at times they order for food. Not because you have a tight schedule at work means the health of your family should be left at the mercy of a meal that you don’t know how it was prepared. As a wonderful woman you must know that; for them living in good health lies in your hands and not with eateries or fast-food, whichever name you call it.
SHE ACQUIRES GOOD THINGS: ‘she considereth a field, and buyeth it.’ In those days when a man acquires a field or land, he is seen has a rich man. Field here might not necessarily mean a piece of land; it might be a car, house etc. A wonderful woman, when she sees anything that can make her husband prosper she buys it with the concept of her husband, because her husband safely trust in her. Instead of thinking of what they can achieve to make their family a success, women of nowadays prefer to shop for their personal makeup, party clothes and lots of things that is unnecessary for the family in general.
SHE IS A CARETAKER: ‘with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard’ if you own a garden you will understand how tedious it can be to maintain, and time consuming too. A wonderful woman, after she as thought of good things for her household and acquired it, she won’t just stop there, she will go an extra mile to see that the good thing that was acquired is look after till when it is being pass on to her children as heritage.
SHE IS EVER READY: ‘She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.’ Becoming a wonderful woman isn’t something you can easily become. It takes lots of effort, energy (inner strength) and prayer to contend with every challenges that might come your way. They aren’t ignorant of marriage, family and their duties as a housewife. They are never found wanting in any aspect of their lives and they will keep fighting tooth and nail to remain that way. Before a man is set; they are ready to go. Nothing can get them slow down….. not financial problem, not housing problem, not feeding problem. They are overcomes, they never for once thought of failure in their lives. They feed on their inner strength than feeding on their sight. Lots of women are deceived by what they see and end up nowhere. If you desire to be somewhere tomorrow then you must be ready, and follow what the passage above says; ‘she girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.’ don’t be held down by that long robe you wearing, take them off and be ready to get your hands to working. Why you are a wonderful woman was because you are full of wonders if you must know………..

Proverbs 31: 10-31 explain how a virtuous woman shines like a bright beacon in this world. Today as we see women of all ages following dubious role models, we are refreshed to find a timeless example of virtue, responsibility and good sense. Here in this column we are going to picture how a woman should embody these qualities which every believing woman should strive for in her personal life and appearance, in her family life, and in her daily duties. The woman described in Proverbs 31 is so exemplary and so virtuous, and so diligent to perform all her duties that women today, who have a heart to please God, may find it difficult or even discouraging to try to follow her example.
A woman who is seen as wonderful or called virtuous must have some qualities that made her stands out among other women, though they may be heart broken by a man; but because of who they are they still jump back to life and continue to be who they are. Such women, I must say her rare in our cities and countries in general. If you are lucky to have them as wives and girlfriend, count yourself fortunate.
Perhaps you are the type of woman that you just don’t know why every men prefer to dump you for some else. Know that there are qualities or something that is expected of every woman; that men do watch out for and that’s why you never get lucky. Because you lack them or some of it; that can make you a wonderful partner. Let me tell you something you don’t know; men are most attracted to wonderful women than the beautiful ones. The older you get the less beautiful you become, but when it comes to wonderful women; the older you get the more wonderful you become. The passage of the scripture I quoted earlier will be where we shall get all this qualities of that wonderful woman you need to become than spending all your precious time with beauty other than being wonderful. I am not saying that for a woman to look beautiful isn’t good; but being wonderful is better. Like they said ‘beauty is in the eyes of the beholder’; let your man be the judge of your beauty. Aren’t you surprised when handsome guys are getting married to the less beautiful women? You might say ‘John left me for that ugly thing’. Yes he does, because you aren’t wonderful but the ugly thing does, and that makes her 100% better off than you.
A WOMAN WITH STRENGTH: ‘who can find a virtuous woman?’ Virtuous means: strength, efficiency, ability. Permit me when I merge strength of characters together to mean virtuous. A woman with moral strength and firmness are scarce to come by, even the scripture confirmed that too that’s the meaning of the question above; (who can find a virtuous woman?) all the women round the world give little or no attention to their strength-characters. They have no fear of God, they loves lies rather than the truth, sins and every ungodly acts are the order of their days; and what manner of man would be ready to have such women as wives?
HER PURPOSE IS NOT FOR MONEY: ‘for her price is far above rubies.’ She is far more valuable and worth far more than money. This type of a woman has a better future; that she wants to build rather than wasting her life going after men for money. She is ever prepared for anything rather than run away whenever something goes wrong. I named them “ever ready gear.” Lots of women this days want to eat their cake and have it, they wants lot of expensive things they can get from men, live a frivolous life and do all kinds of unthinkable things, all in the name of enjoying themselves.
THE HEART OF HER HUSBAND DOES TRUST IN HER: ‘The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her.’ how many husbands can come out in the public and said opening that they have trust in their wives? Lots of women has gone astray, there activities are no longer what we can say to them you are a truly housewife. All sorts of things doth their hands and they found comfort doing them too.  Being able to fully trust your marriage partner is one of the fundamental foundations of a strong God-honoring marriage. Martin Luther said of his wife, "The greatest gift of God is a pious amiable spouse, who fears God, loves his house, and with whom one can live in perfect confidence". There are two reasons why the heart of the husband can trust his wonderful wife.  The first reason is found in the second part of verse 11 ("so that he shall have no need of spoil") and the second reason is found in verse 12 ("she shall do him good and not evil”)
HER HUSBAND CAN’T BE FOUND WANTING: ‘So that he shall have no need of spoil.’ The word spoil here means ‘GAIN’ and what the passage means was; the husband shall have no want of gain. A woman that is wasteful is automatically a loss to the husband, no matter what the husband does to make the family works will turn out bad, because the woman who should have being a reflector of his effort is in actual fact isn’t. A gainful woman is a tremendous benefit to the family, even financially.  She is not a financial liability. She manages the home so well and she is so industrious and productive that her efforts result in great gain and even profit. There are lots of careless, slothful wives they cause the family to suffer great financial loss. How can a husband safely trust in her? After she has finished destroying the family budget, he has great need of gain considering all that she has lost.
SHE IS A SOURCE OF BLESSINGS: ‘She will do him good, and not evil.’  A woman that never made her husband wanting is a source of great blessing to her household. Many people will look up to her, she will become the family problem solver than creating more, she carries with her great responsibilities; at times greater than the husband’s. All the days of her life she will seek only good things for her husband rather than do him harm. “Who so findeth a wife, findeth a good thing and obtaineth favor from the LORD.”(Proverb 18:22) her husband can safely trust in her because he does not need to worry about what she doeth. I must say here that some women are curses to their husband, instead of being a crown to their head they became rottenness to their bones. A wonderful woman, deal what is good to her husband and not what that is evil. Her want for her husband is God’s highest and best for him. All her deeds always turn out to be a blessing to her husband.
SHE IS CONSISTENT: ‘all the days of her life.’ Like the act of some women, today they are lovely women and they next day you will be surprised what they had turn themselves into in the house. Many women are now pretending to be reliable and dependable before marriage, they are so good that relationship is now seen as a stage they can hide who they are; and soon as they got married you see the real them. A wonderful woman is a very truthful person they are always and will ever be, what they are from the beginning you met them. Their lives is consistent, they don’t change, what they do today will be what they do the next week and will do in the next five years, because they are real and never pretend.
SHE CARES: ‘she seeketh wool and flax’ according the dictionary the two materials can be use for clothing and when the passage said she seeketh those two materials; meaning that she is caring and will also protect her family from the weather. Their health is as important to her as their lives, so she will, willingly protect her family. An ordinary woman will only seek her own protection over to that of her family; she loves to cloth herself with the latest wears, she has all kinds of attire in a wardrobe you can ever imagine.
SHE USES HER TALENT: ‘and worketh willingly with her hands.’ our creator hasn’t created us into this World without something that makes us special as a human. That is why we are different from every other being he has ever created. A wonderful woman found it easier to use her talent or talents for the success of her family and it pleases her too. How many married women these days are using their talents in their family? Instead, they see their talents as a laborious and boring chore they should be engaging with; in exchange for watching television, gossiping and etc…………
