| Rom 1:18 For God's [holy] wrath and indignation are revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who in their wickedness repress and hinder the truth and make it inoperative. Rom 1:19 For that which is known about God is evident to them and made plain in their inner consciousness, because God [Himself] has shown it to them. Rom 1:20 For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made (His handiworks). So [men] are without excuse [altogether without any defense or justification], [Ps. 19: 1-4.] Rom 1:21 Because when they knew and recognized Him as God, they did not honor and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead they became futile and godless in their thinking [with vain imaginings, foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations] and their senseless minds were darkened. Rom 1:22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools [professing to be smart, they made simpletons of themselves]. Rom 1:23 And by them the glory and majesty and excellence of the immortal God were exchanged for and represented by images, resembling mortal man and birds and beasts and reptiles. Rom 1:24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their [own] hearts to segxwal impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves [abandoning them to the degrading power of sin], Rom 1:25 Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever! Amen (so be it). [Jer. 2:11.] Rom 1:26 For this reason God gave them over and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one, Rom 1:27 And the men also turned from natural relations with women and were set ablaze (burning out, consumed) with lust for one another--men committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrong-doing and going astray, which was [their] fitting retribution. Rom 1:28 And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve of Him or consider Him worth the knowing, God gave them over to a base and condemned mind to do things not proper or decent but loathsome, Rom 1:29 Until they were filled (permeated and saturated) with every kind of unrighteousness, iniquity, grasping and covetous greed, and malice. [They were] full of envy and jealousy, murder, strife, deceit and treachery, ill will and cruel ways. [They were] secret backbiters and gossipers, Rom 1:30 Slanderers, hateful to and hating God, full of insolence, arrogance, [and] boasting; inventors of new forms of evil, disobedient and undutiful to parents. Rom 1:31 [They were] without understanding, conscienceless and faithless, heartless and loveless [and] merciless. Rom 1:32 Though they are fully aware of God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them themselves but approve and applaud others who practice them. | | |

| the Governor made a poor choice of words in anger.........and i am sure he would apologize for this momentary lapse in judgement later when he realises what he uttered. however, it must be really frustrating to the Governor and the good people of the city that traders keep on using road ways to sell the wares and stubbornly flout govt laws and simple public rules of decency. the market stalls are there for that purpose. Governor Oshiomole still have my full support and those of progressive minded Edos. i expect him to make an apology for what he said and not what he is doing. public safety and free flow of traffic is essential for development and my people must learn to abide by laws enacted. the woman's proof of being a widow has not been proven but that was not an excuse for the words uttered.
YOU TALK WELL BUT COME TO THINK OF IT, ASSUMING THE WOMAN IS INDEED A WIDOW, AND LOOKING AT THE GOODS SEIZED ITS OBVIOUS SHE IS VERY POOR. WHERE DO YOU EXPECT HER TO GET MONEY TO PAY FOR THE STALL ? HOW IS SHE GOING TO SETTLE THE MARKET FATHERS FOR USING THE MARKET? WHY DO MY PEOPLE ALSO KEEP PATRONIZING THE HAWKERS? I AM SURE THE GOVERNOR IS ONLY ACTIVE AT THIS POINT BECAUSE HE IS LATE FOR AN APPOINTMENT AND THUS HE THINK THE CAUSE OF THE HOLD UP IS THE HAWKERS. IF THEY ALL DO THE RIGHT THING INSTEAD OF STEALING THE MONEY, THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN

| among the Edos, when we are arguing or angry with someone, and we say "ya wu" (literal translation-- "go and die) it does not mean go and kill yourself. it really means "i don't believe you,....get out.
remember that Gov. Oshiomole is widower himself.....so he knows the pain of such loss. so he may have prematurely thought that the woman was using that sympathy line to reinforce her pleadings for her wares not to be seized. however an unreserved apology would be in order since he is a public officer and humility is required from ALL Edo state citizens.
YOUR STATEMENT IS UNACEPTABLE I AM SORRY. BECAUSE THIS WICKED GOVERNOR STATED HIS WORDS IN CLEAR PURE ENGLISH I DID NOT HEAR YAHOOOOO {YA WU}

on: 27-11-2013 02:57 AM
| I THINK IT IS HIGH TIME ALL NIGERIA CUSTOM OFFICIALS BE PROBE AND SCRUTINIZE BY EFCC OR ANY AGENCY THAT IS RELEVANT.
Some weeks ago i traveled to nigeria and after the passengers collected their various goods i was shocked to see line of passengers being detained all because they have a flat screen TV. i overheard the custom officials asking them to collect a form and go and pay N35000 at certain bank and they should come back for their electronics i know this people have already paid vat in london and even paid the airline for excess luggage. WHAT TYPE OF COUNTRY IS THIS? WHEN IS THIS LAW PASSED? SO I CANT BRING THINGS INN FROM ABROAD FOR MY USE ANYMORE? IF SOMEONE BRING IN 3,4,OR 5 TV I UNDERSTAND BUT ONE. HABA !
i know some of this custom men/women that their basic salary is not even up to a graduate yet they have mansion in america and london and live very big in nigeria milking people day and night.
YET THE GOVERNMENT WANT THE NIGERIANS TO COME BACK HOME AND EVERY POLICY IS A FOOLISH DISCOURAGING POLICY WHICH WAY NIGERIA?

IF THIS IS INDEED TRUTH, WHAT ARE THE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENTS IN NIGERIA DOING ABOUT IT? ONE LAW FOR THE COUNTRY, ANOTHER FOR THE NORTH?

MR. DAVID CLARK: The attitude of this President from Nigeria is amazing, how can a President of a Nation behave so irresponsibly, how can Mr Jonathan DRANK to the point that he needed Doctors to wake him up. "Most Nigerians here in UK are responsible people, surprisingly,the ir President has not show any sign of responsibility. "This can never happen in UK, I therefore call on UK Governments to ban the likes of Nigerian President from visiting UK."

| Oil theft, Chatham House and the Ribadu Report
By Abdulaziz Abdulaziz THE SUN. 03/10/13
The London-based independent think tank, Chatham House, has just released a damning report on the thriving oil theft in the oil-rich Niger Delta region. The report, which is more or less the vindication of similar meticulous investigation done by the Nuhu Ribadu-led Petroleum Revenue Special Task Force, last year, has once again diagnosed the source of a rabid fiscal malady gradually hollowing our economic fortunes as a country.
The executive summary of the Chatham House report, published on the webpage of the think tank, gives the summation of the findings thus: “Nigerian crude oil is being stolen on an industrial scale. Nigeria lost at least 100,000 barrels of oil per day, around 5% of total output, in the first quarter of 2013 to theft from its onshore and swamp operations alone. Some of what is stolen is exported. Proceeds are laundered through world financial centres and used to buy assets in and outside Nigeria, polluting markets and financial institutions overseas, and creating reputational, political and legal hazards. It could also compromise parts of the legitimate oil business.
“Officials outside Nigeria are aware that the problem exists, and occasionally show some interest at high policy levels. But Nigeria’s trade and diplomatic partners have taken no real action, and no stakeholder group inside the country has a record of sustained and serious engagement with the issue. The resulting lack of good intelligence means international actors cannot fully assess whether Nigerian oil theft harms their interests or not.
“Nigeria’s dynamic, overcrowded political economy drives competition for looted resources. Poor governance has encouraged violent opportunism around oil and opened doors for organized crime. Because Nigeria is the world’s 13th largest oil producer – exports often topped two million barrels per day in 2012 – high rents are up for grabs.”
