1  Forum / Politics / Biafra group insists on November 5 declaration on: 24-09-2012 05:27 PM
The Biafra Zionist Movement (BZM) has restated its determination to go ahead with the November 5 declaration of a Republic of Biafra. It has also called on the Igbos and politicians from the South East to forget about the 2015 presidential bid as it would no longer be necessary. The group advised the apex Igbo socio-cultural Organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo to concentrate on how to recover Igbo territories ceded to Rivers, Delta and Kogi States rather than pursuing shadows.

National secretary of BZM Nweke M. Nweke told reporters in Enugu that as long as the BZM was concerned, the Ohanaeze members had not shown enough commitment to the interest of the Igbo ethnic nationality in Nigeria. Nweke expressed regrets that Ohanaeze could not take one stand on the continued relegation of the Igbo in Nigeria and had failed to unite the leaders in the zone for the people to make a political headway. "

They should drop this talk about the 2015 presidency and concentrate on how to reclaim our brothers and sisters in Rivers, Delta and Kogi states. "This is important now because these people that were enticed into believing that they are not Igbos will not forgive us in future when the chips are down." The organization which has reserved November 5 for the re-declaration of the sovereign state of Biafra said there was no going back on that date.

He hinted that their leader, Mr. Ben Onwuka who is now in the United States canvassing for support, would be back soon for the "epoch making occasion." It is the belief of the group that the United States must fully be involved for Biafra to be actualized.

The group's leader while in the US, would liaise with United States-based Biafra groups such as Biafra Foundation and Biafra Government in Exile (BGI) on the November 5 re-declaration. The group praised the Nigerian security for the way they related with them, adding that that was informed by their matured approach to their cau
2  Forum / Sports / NFF abandoned Falconets on arrival on: 11-09-2012 08:45 PM
THE Nigerian U-20 Women team, Falconets were abandoned by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on arrival from the just concluded Women's World Cup in Japan.

Falconets who finished fourth at the World Cup, was left to cater for themselves on their arrival at the Muritala International Airports Lagos.

No member of NFF was in sight to receive the women's team which prompted the contingents to leave for their different destinations after many hours of futile waiting.

Some of the players who spoke to newsmen on condition of anonymity fumed at the cold gesture by NFF saying "we are disappointed for not being welcomed or received on our arrival home, although our best might not be enough to earn us a respectable result at this outing but God knows that we gave our best"

Ronaldo is most fantastic and he is the best,Messi only performs well in Barcelona,he always play rubbish for Argentina, but Ronaldo plays well for Madrid and Portugal, also Messi can't perform well outside Barcelona,he's only doing well with the help of Iniesta,Xavi,Alves,Villa and the rest, but take a look at Ronaldo, when he was in Man utd,he was awesome, and now in Madrid,he is still awesome Cool

If messi is playing just rubbish for argentina, the football analist still rate messi as the best player. Messi performs real good in real matches than C.ronaldo. Can you tell me in which big mathes you see ronaldo performs well, he is only good for the small clubs. carry go messi.

This is one of the causes of divorce because some women nowadays are no more willing to do thier duties. Look at what some women are saying here, insisting on keeping their fathers names after being llegally married to their husbands. I know a lady that got married and still insisting on keeping her maiden name, their marriage lasted for just 6months. See what some women are causing and they will say,men are really bad.Better you go and stay in your father´s house.
10  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: Women keeping their maiden names after marriage. on: 21-03-2011 08:11 PM
It is not by force for women to change their maiden to their husbands after being llegally married but it is so stupid to consider how your father suffered to support you right from infant up to your matured age. Firstly, sorry to ask, is your mom having your dad´s name or her maiden name? If your mom is having your dad´s name, that means your mom is more civilised than you. Your university education does not really teach you what is right from what is wrong.

Jose mounrinho thought he could win barca just the same way he won in the champions league. Barca are unpredictable. They correct their mistakes very quickly. Guardiola is very much sensible than mounrinho in football level. Mounrinho thought Guardiola would use lione messi in the attacking whereas, other players he did not even expected were used. Best of barca.Three gbosa gbosa gbosa.

Marrying an illiterat man or woman is not something that is easy unless both parties are illiterate. An illiterate fellow will get you annoyed to madness and drive you into "Had I KNOWN,I WOULDN`T HAVE". There different types of illiterate people, an illiterate fellow with determination of kicking out illiteracy of his or her life, when you marry such fellow, there is possibility that you can educate him or her and she or he will get educated through you bcos he or she is dtermined to fight illiteracy.

Secondly, willingness, if the fellow is willing to be educated, when you marry such fellow, you will suceed in educating him. And thirdly, unwilling and undetermined to ber educated, when you marry such fellow, you will eventually find yourself into a big  problem in the future no matter how much you love that person. am talking from experience.

17  Forum / Sports / spain beat Germany and LOW BACKS `WONDERFUL` SPAIN FOR TITLE on: 8-07-2010 08:19 AM
Spain will be crowned world champions for the first time in their history on Sunday, according to German coach Joachim Low.

Low watched his side beaten 1-0 in the second semi-final by a powerful second-half header from Spain defender Carles Puyol to set up a World Cup final between Spain and Holland, the great underachievers of world football.

Low then predicted: "I am confident they will win the title.

"Spain are a wonderful team. They are the masters of the game. You can see it in every pass. They can hardly be beaten. They are extremely calm and convincing. Spain were just better than we were and they deserved to win.

"In 2008 they won the European Championships in a very convincing way (beating Germany in the final) and they have been unchanged over the past two or three years. They play in an automatic way. They have put on top performances in all matches they have played and they can beat everyone.

"Over the past two or three years they have been the most skilled team of all. They circulate the ball quickly and we were not able to play like previous matches. We were not able to get rid of our inhibitions."

The Germans were a pale shadow of the vibrant team which had demolished England and Argentina in back-to-back matches.

But that had as much to do with the stranglehold Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Xabi Alonso had on the midfield as with Germany's under-par performance.

Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque, however, warned his players must not be complacent about Sunday's final when they face a Dutch team also pursuing history.
18  Forum / Sports / Re: President bans Nigeria from international competition on: 30-06-2010 05:21 PM
If that will be the case, Nigeria will be banned for extra two years by the FIFA bcos it happened in Togo some years back when Togo President lay ban on the nation team for two years. FIFA does not want politics involvement in football. Am sure that will be FIFA´s decision for nigeria. It is even good for nigeria team not even to play for 10 years bcos they are giving us heart-attack and bring us low in world football.

whosoever that blames our coach is a fool. Haven´t he tried? What the hell do want coach to do in that situation? he made good selection for each match and our players played good but our attackers are not good enough and moreso, selfishness and self-played ruined our goal changes. I think he made of Yakubu just bcos in case of penalty. As for me, i will prefer Samson Siasia for super eagles coach bcos he knows how to make use of the home based players.
20  Forum / Sports / Siasia to take over Super Eagles on: 29-06-2010 02:45 PM
There are strong indications that former coach of the national U-23 team, Samson Siasia, will take over the Super Eagles.

Authoritative sources close to the Nigeria Football Federation told our correspondent in Johannesburg that arrangements had been concluded to give Siasia the mandate to raise a new team for Nigeria.

Siasia is expected to invite players from the Golden Eaglets, Flying Eagles and the Olympic team to the senior team.

Our correspondent learnt that Flying Eagles coach, John Obuh, had been lined up to assist Siasia.

It was learnt that the decision was taken after the NFF meeting in South Africa shortly after Nigeria crashed out of the World Cup on June 22.

The NFF top officials admitted that there was an urgent need to bring young players into the senior team to work under coaches who are used to them.

A source told our correspondent, "Siasia has achieved so much with the young ones and he is expected to bring fresh legs to the new Super Eagles and prepare them for future challenges.

"We cannot continue to depend on the same crop of players who have been embarrassing the country at international competitions."

Shortly after the country crashed out of South Africa 2010, the Federal Government disbanded the team due to its poor performance.

Our correspondent however learnt that the NFF had no plan for coach Lars Lagerback, whose contract expires next month.

"Lagerback was employed for five months and he has been paid. The NFF has no plan for him because there is no money to pay him such a huge amount. He can only continue if the government will take over the payment of his salary. He is not in the plans of the NFF for now," our source said.

Lagerback's five months salary of $1.5m was paid by the Presidential Task Force on Nigeria's qualification for the World Cup.
