The management of Ecobank, which recently acquired former Cecelia Ibru led band, Oceanic bank, has found itself in a deep mess.
The financial institution yesterday sacked 4000 of its workforce. According to information available, majority of the sacked workers are from Oceanic bank.
We further gathered that the sack was targeted at former Oceanic bank staffers, especially as some staffers of Ecobank were given more attractive packages while those from Oceanic bank were given about 50 per cent of what Ecobank staffers get.

One of the surviving movie veterans in Nigeria, Justus Esiri is advocating that each local government area in Nigeria should have a film village or call it Community viewing centers. This he said can only tell that our film industry is developing. Justus who spoke with us on set a Pressing Forward production.


The Maguda Kingdom did talk on the industry the fore fathers dreamed of. On the film villages, he said,” Let there be at least one cinema house in every local government area in Nigeria. Then each state government begins to produce films to take care of the youths, training the youths into taking part in different areas of the industry; in acting, producing, directing, cameraman, makeup artistes, and costumier among others. That is about eight professions in just one industry.

Sensational actress Tonto Dike seems to be sick and tried of the ugly happenings in this country.


Apart from the recent removal of fuel subsidy which grounded the country for six days, the controversial actress is decrying the incessant extortion that goes on at the airport in Ikeja, where motorists are compelled to pay between N100 and N150 depending on the size of their cars as toll-gate fare.
