Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Dead End: Three Nigerians Jailed For £1 Million Fraud In The UK |
on: 16-07-2011 11:33 AM
| Honestly, i'm of the opinion that they are doing these rogues and their likes a big favour by sending them to jails here. If possible, they could have been prosecuted here, and made to go and serve the jail terms in one of the most horrible Nigerian prisons (kirikiri maximum prison etc). There has to be a deterrent for this disgraceful behaviour. This sort of people give millions of hard working Nigerians a very bad name with their actions. They go about reaping where they have not sown, and thus make it difficult for many who are strifing through legitimate means to make a living. I think given the crime, the punishment is still too lenient. | | |

Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: What Law(s) will you give to your wife? |
on: 9-07-2011 03:54 PM
| Well, if we must look at this topic objectively, i don't think it's in any man's place to lay down rules for his supposed partner. It's abelief that most women brought up in a good home may already have been taught rules that would guide them in terms of conduct outside their parent's home. It becomes very funny when i read things like this. At the end of the day, homes are not barracks where superior officers give rules and orders to junior officers and recruits. Relationships whether marriage or otherwise, are about mutual respect and love. The key thing here is to treat the other person the way you expect to be treated. Like i always say, this is just my opinion which is guided by my own family and social background. Other rules may apply for other people. | | |

Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Nigerians Cry Out Againt Jonathan's bad Governance |
on: 6-07-2011 06:01 PM
| Well, the saying that "As you make your bed, so you lie on it" is even more true in this case. The majority of Nigerian, a large bulk of which were youths, had a chance to change the course of history with their votes, but they missed the opportunity. People should now be ready to reconcile themselves with the slow pace of governance which the Jonathan presidency represents., Damn it!! it's a shame that this is likely to go on throughout his tenure. You know, the funny thing is, people can rant as much as they want, but i doubt if anything is going to change in the next four years. | | |

on: 17-06-2011 08:38 PM
| The worst that could happen in terms of security has started to unfold in Nigeria. What a shame! What would be a key determinant of whether President GEJ has the will and capacity to respond to the security challenge posed by this new development is the manner and decisiveness of his response. We expect a shake-up of the security organisations within the country. Also, we expect that this madness would be stopped before our country starts to look like a volatile Middle East country. In some ways, confidence is beginning to diminish in relation to his ability to tackle the many challenges or problems of the country. I hope he realises this and buckles up. God Bless Nigeria. | | |

| Personally, i'm not really bother about a lot of things that happens on here However, the level of insults and fowl language would not recommend the site to decent folks. What we project on Nigerian sites can affect the perception of us by other people. Let us reflect good things about ourselves and our great country Nigeria. God Bless Nigeria. | | |

Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Breaking News: GT Bank MD Tayo Aderinokun Is Dead |
on: 16-06-2011 04:54 PM
| Its so so sad,i really am still in a state of shock right now. Life is just life mehn! Gtbank boss Tayo Aderinokun passed on this morning in a UK hospital after a long battle with cancer of the lungs. This man was the definition of humble,i remember when i was an intern at GTbank and he just walked into the bank,no airs around him, shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries with everyone now he is dead.Wow May God let his soul RIPP. Among his many accomplishments he led the bank to become the 1st Sub-Saharan African bank to be listed on the LSE(London Stock exchange) and he was only 56. Life is so vain. Death can be cruel, and it comes knocking whenever it wants. At this time, my heart and thoughts goes to the people he left behind. May God give them the fortitude to bear the loss | | |

on: 4-06-2011 01:13 PM
| Are you sure this couple are really hausas? The fact is, unlike some other tribes in Nigeria, you hardly see them involve in things like this anywhere in the world the woman i no fit talk but the man go bi real Aboki I'm not and will never condone any kind of fraud. However, the thing is, that guy's supposed family name "kAMARA" does not come across as Nigerian, rather it sounds more like Sierra Leonian. Whatever the case may be, all those tarnishing Nigeria's image abroad will face the consequences of their actions sooner or later. God Bless Nigeria | | |

Going to parties, meeting people in school or on the bus are the days of the past, as most people are now focusing on finding love on-line. While a lot of people still refuse to accept that online dating is the way to go, more and more hot girls and guys are going on the web, and thus increasing the desire to join on-line dating because most of the hot people are on the computers these days searching online dating sites.
What do you guys think of the growth of online dating compared to real world dating? Do you think online dating has/is overtaking traditional dating?
How successful can online dating be, with Yahoo Yahoo boys everywhere! | | |

on: 30-05-2011 03:08 PM
| Well i came across this and i thot i put it up here for pals to give their opinions and comments. Recently this came out from a well known actress in nollywood... '' She said and I quote; as for me, I thank god I did not marry a Nigerian, they are too demanding and bossy, but a good Oyinbo man will treat you like a queen that you are. Hmm wat is she feeling like and wat was going thru her mind when this comment flew from her mouth? Oya over to y'all pals source: http://nigeriafilms.com/news/11958/24/thank-god-i-did-not-marry-a-nigerianactress-kate-h.htmlI don't blame her for choosing to roll with a white guy. The way some of our Nigerian guys behave, they could send one to a mental institution. | | |
