I read from some other sources that the victims might have died of carbon monoxide poisoning from generator fumes.
It is becoming a more common source of mass deaths in the country these days due to the worsening state of electricity supply to most parts of Nigeria. And the fact that many people keep their generators indoors to prevent theft.
There might not be anything spiritual about the deaths afterall.
