Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Nigeria's black Jews re-discovered? |
on: 25-07-2012 10:21 AM
| Salaam (Hello) ...., Do you know why Islam is so scarcely to me? So here is a quick list why: 1. Did you know the moon-god was called "Sin" in ancient Babylon. In Arabia the moon god was called "Al-llah". Later they shortened this to the present day "Allah". The moon god was the center of pagan worship and ruled over the 360 idol gods in Mecca's Kaaba. Three of these other gods were Allah's daughters: al-Uzza, al-Lat, and Manah. (Will Durant, The Story of Civilization, IV:160-161). Moreover the Encyclopedia Britannica's section on "Pre-Islamic" says, "'Allah' was the moon god, the consort of the sun goddess, and father of a number of female deities, al-Lat, al-Uzza, and Manat, whose worship forms a principle feature of the religion of Muhammad's home town of Mecca. Muhammad's father was named Abd-Allah, and his uncle Obied-Allah. The Allah idol was kept in the Kabah temple in Mecca so that it was therefore in that direction the idolaters prayed, and its symbol was the crescent moon. These practices are still part of Allah worship today". Will Durant, the great historian, said Allah was an idol god worshipped by Arabs long before there was an Islamic religion: "Within the Kaaba, in pre-Moslem days, were several idols representing gods. One was called Allah ... three others were Allah's daughters, al-Uzza, al-Lat, and Manah. ..." 2. "When the first copy of the Koran was written out and presented to [the khalif] Othman Ibn Affan, he said: There are faults of language in it, and let the Arabs of the desert rectify them with their tongues" (Biographical Dictionary, Ibn Khallikan, p. 401). After Muhammad's death the Koran had to be put together from fragmentary remains and conflicting memory. This was done by the Caliph Uthman who chose what would be go into the Koran. He ordered all other versions of the Koran to be burned on threats of death. (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 6, #510, p. 479: Ulum, p.52f). The Shiites, a large segment of Islam, claims Uthman left out a fourth of the text for political reasons (McClintock and Strong, Cyclopedia, V: 152). 3. Did you know that Muhammad said some of the Koran was given to him by Satan?? ["Sura" is the word for "Chapter" in the Koran]. Sura 53:19-23 of the Koran says, "Do you see Al-Lat and Al-Ozza, And Manat the third idol besides? What? shall ye have male progeny and God female? This were indeed an unfair partition! These are mere names: ye and your fathers named them thus: God hath not sent down any warranty in their regard." When Muhammad was asked why he taught these three moon goddesses without complaint, he said the devil had confessed him and called these the "Satanic Verses". 4. Did you know that lying is not evil when it is an advantage to Islam? Sura 24:11 of the The Koran says, "Of a truth, they who advanced that lie were a large number of you; but regard it not as an evil to you. No, it is an advantage to you." This is why Muslims will stand up and tell you "Islam mean peace,' when it actually means "surrender". They are assured it is not evil to say the Koran is against war and killing. Otherwise why would Sura 47:4 of the Koran says, "When ye encounter the infidels (unbelievers), strike off their heads till ye have made a great slaughter among them, and of the rest make fast the fetters." and Sura 9:123 of the Koran says, "Believers! wage war against such of the infidels as are your neighbors, and let them find you rigorous." 5. The Koran contradiction itself. Here are two examples, eventho there are many others examples: (a) For example, it has six contradictory accounts of what man was made from. In Sura 3:59, 30:20, and 35:11, it says that Adam was created out of dust. Then in Sura 21:30, it says, "By means of water we gave life to everything", and Sura 25:54 says, "And it is He who hath created man of water". Then in Sura 96:1 it says, "Thy Lord who created, Created man from CLOTS OF BLOOD". Then in Sura 15:26, it says, "We created man of dry clay". Then in Sura 11:61 it says, "He hath raised you up out of the earth". Finally, in Sura 16:4 and 75:37 it says, "Man hath He created from a moist germ". (b) Furthermore, another example is about Noah's son. In Sura 11:42-43 it says that Noah's son was among the drowned. Then in Sura 21:76 and 37:77 it says that Noah and his whole family was delivered safely from the flood. 6. Yet the biggest reason that I fear Islamic is because according to the Koran what God require for salvation are performing more good deeds than bad and by killing or being killed fighting for Allah. In Sura 7:8-9 and 21:47 it says that Allah saves those whose good deeds outweigh their bad deeds. Then in Sura 4:74 and 47:4-6 it says that fighting for Allah absolutely assures you 100% of Paradise, whether you kill or are killed. Otherwise why would Sura 47:4 of the Koran says, "When ye encounter the infidels (unbelievers), strike off their heads till ye have made a great slaughter among them, and of the rest make fast the fetters." and Sura 9:123 of the Koran says, "Believers! wage war against such of the infidels as are your neighbors, and let them find you rigorous." Therefore, I am happy that I have chosen to believe the Bible and ask the Lord who loves us and died for us to forgive me, and become my personal Lord and Savior. Then we can claim this promise: Romans 10:23, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved". I know you're muslim pls this clear to ppl pls
Call it white paper or blue print, your words are clear! Read it from top to down or vice versa, the roints are plain! Drive on it without navigator, you'll get to your destination cos the road is straight!

Forum / Politics / LAWMAKER IN EUROPE MUST WORK 4 ATLEAST 12YS 2 EARN ANUAL SALARY OF A NIG SENATOR |
on: 25-07-2012 01:34 AM
| A Nigerian senator earns more in Salary than Barack Obama of the US and David Cameron of the UK. I'll leave you to tell how much Nigerian president goes home with at the end of each month. An Indian lawmaker must work for at least 49 years to earn the annual salary of a Nigerian senator.

In the United States, while the minimum wage is $1,257 (N191, 667), a US lawmaker earns $15,080 (N2.3m) per month. In the United Kingdom, a lawmaker earns $8,686(N1.3m) monthly while the gross national minimum wage is $1,883 (N283, 333) per month. Also, Nigerian lawmakers earn higher than their counterparts in Sweden. With a monthly pay of $7,707 (N1.2m), a lawmaker in Sweden will need to work for over 12 years to equal what a Nigerian senator earn per annum.
The president of the United States takes home an anual salary of $400,000 (N64.156,0m), including a $50,000 expense allowance making the president the highest paid public servant in the US. The $400,000 includes everything and $350,000 out of it is taxable.

A senator's anual salary = over N182 million multiply by 109 senators (don't forget the House of rep, ministers, ambassadors, ...)
In addition to the regular and legitimate salaries and allowances of over N17 million ($113,333) and N14.99 million ($99,933) which senators and reps were collecting yearly and the irregular allowance of estacodes, duty tours etc, they were also collecting over N192m ($1.28m) and N140m ($0.93m) respectively in illicit quarterly allocation which is not provided for by RMAFC.
Effectively, a Nigerian senator was taking home at least $1.40m ($1.28m quarterly allocations + $0.113m regular salaries and allowances) as against the $0.174m an American senator takes home hence a Nigeria senator earns at least 8 times as much as an American senator and more than 3 times the American president.
Whereas a Senator in the U.S earns N21, 146,000, the same as a member of the House of Representatives; a UK Member of Parliament earn £64,766 (N14, 896,180)
In other words, a Federal Legislator in Nigeria is paid more than double what a Member of British Parliament earns per annum.
Senate President David Mark alone takes N250 million quarterly or N83.33 million per month. Senate Deputy President Ike Ekweremadu gets N150 million per quarter or N50 million a month.
Mark and Ekweremadu earns in 4 months, six times what the UK Prime Minister earns in a year. David Cameron goes home with £190,000 per anum (N43, 700,000)
In a newspaper news article entitled ‘An Assembly for looting’ written by Musikilu Mojeed with Elor Nkereuwem, the authors rightly claimed that each of the 360 members of the House of Representatives were getting N35 million in cash money in quarterly allocation while each of the 109 Senators pockets N48 million each. These allocations have however been slashed by 20% to N27 million ($180,000) and N38 million ($253,333) respectively due to the 20% reduction requested by the late president. Please tell me, how do we expect this banana republican hell fire to become a country tomorrow. Do you still ask why Nigerian politics is a do or die affair?

Forum / Sports / Kanu Nwankwo demands N750m from Pompey before liquidation in 2 weeks |
on: 24-07-2012 06:29 PM
| Former Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu has demanded dying Portsmouth of England to pay his 3m pounds (about N750m) wage arrears before the club finally goes into liquidation.
Portsmouth administrator Trevor Birch has warned that the club could be liquidated 'in two or three weeks'.
The 2008 FA Cup winners are due to start the new season in League One with a 10-point penalty for returning to administration but Birch says the club might be out of business before the big kick-off, against Bournemouth on August 18.
Kanu who helped the club to their successful FA Cup campaign stated that the only honor the club can do for him is to pay his outstanding.
Birch has imposed a £5,000-per-week salary cap to cut costs, with the excess paid once the club avoids liquidation, but the Nigerian forward is digging his heels in over the money owed to him.
'The club is heading for liquidation in just a few weeks, perhaps two weeks if these players don't leave or compromise on their wages."
Birch added: "Kanu has served the club notice that he wants to leave but before doing so he wants the money he says is owed to him by the club."

Forum / Politics / Man loses 7 children, another 6 to Jos flood that killed 38, 50 missing |
on: 24-07-2012 06:10 PM
| A woman and her five children were among no fewer than 38 persons killed after heavy rainfall in Jos North forced a dam to overflow, flooding Rikkos and Gangere areas of the Plataeu State on Sunday evening.
No fewer than 100 persons were displaced, with at least 50 declared missing and over 100 mud houses swept away.
The rain, which started at about 4.30pm, lasted for more than eight hours before it subsided.
Another victim Abdulramid Useni, a resident of Gangere in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, who lost seven children to the flood, said he was yet to comprehend what happened to him.
"My world is finished. Where do I start from?" he asked our correspondent in an emotion laden voice.
Useni said they were sleeping when it happened.
He said, "All of us were sleeping. I, my wife and our 12 children were sleeping in the house when all of a sudden, there was this sudden surge of flood which took over our house. Before we could do anything, the house collapsed and the flood swept all of us away, including the house.
"I was able to survive because I clung to a pole. It was a matter of life and death as I was there until the flood subsided."
Useni said he had found the bodies of six of his children while he was yet to locate one.
He said he and his wife and five other children survived to tell the story, adding that it was by the grace of God that his other children survived. Useni said he and the surviving members of his family were taking shelter in one of the displaced people's camps in Rikkos.
Community Leader of Gangere, Gudu Usman-Ali, described the Sunday flood which killed no fewer than 38 people as a disaster. Mahmud told our correspondent in Jos that the flood was the worst the community had experienced in recent times.
He said the rain started at about 7.15pm and became heavier by 9.30pm when the floods overflowed the banks of River Rikkos.
Mahmud said, "We were in the mosque when the calamity started. The rain just started washing away houses and carrying people, some of whom were asleep."
He said the floods overran three districts of Rikkos Tudun, Gangere and Angwan Rogo. He called on the government to hasten rescue efforts and provide relief materials to displaced persons.

Forum / Politics / Enugu ex-electoral officer 'mistakes wife for a robber', shoots her to death |
on: 24-07-2012 05:32 PM
| ...Says he mistook her for a robber
The police in Enugu are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting by a middle-aged man and former member of the Enugu State Independent ElectoralCommission, Mathias Nweze, of one of his wives and a mother of six.
Nweze, who hails from Umuida Enugu Ezike in the Nsukka area, reported himself to the police after the incident.
He had in his report to the police claimed that while he was sleeping in his house at about 11:00 p.m. last Saturday, his generator packed up twice, arousing his suspicion that robbers may have invaded his compound.
He told the police that consequently he brought his pump action gun and fired several shots in the direction of the generator.
Nweze, who was living with the two wives at the time of the incident, said that in the process of trying to shoot whoever was out there, one of the shots hit his wife leaving her critically injured.
However, some neighbours have dismissed Nweze's story, claiming that he must have made up that story to the police to escape punishment.
Two of his neighbours, who spoke to our reporter, narrated how the suspect had given money to the late wife to cook some delicacy for him, but was disturbed when he found out that he was served something else which they identified as 'corn mill'.
He was said to have been annoyed by the development and in the ensuing face-off allegedly shot and killed the wife, who hailed from Imufu in the same Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area.
The deceased, Daily Sun gathered, was later rushed to New Testament Hospital Ogurute Igbo-Eze North LGA where she was confirmed dead by the doctor.
A statement, by the police command's spokesman, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the incident, adding that the body had been deposited in the mortuary for autopsy.
Amaraizu also said the police have commenced full-scale investigations into the incident.

Forum / Politics / Nigerian Air Force to launch bomb-detonating robot Nicknamed "Amebo" |
on: 24-07-2012 05:22 PM
| EXPERTS in bomb detonation would soon not need to get closer to such lethal objects to neutralise them as the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is developing a robot to undertake the task from afar.

The Commandant of the Nigerian Air Force Institute of Technology (NAFIT), Kaduna, Air Vice Marshal John Oshoniyi, who spoke on the contributions of NAF to internal security yesterday, explained that the institute had developed an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle for surveillance and intelligence gathering in crisis-prone parts of the country.
At a press conference to herald activities marking the 41st graduation of the institute, the Commandant, said the bomb detonating robot, would assist the government check the series of bombing by terrorist gangs.
He said the equipment required no operator to be physically present at the scene of any detected bomb before its detonation.
Oshoniyi said the institute, funded by NAF, would present the device to the public when it is ready.
"We all know that human beings have always gone to detonate bombs and in view of the danger involved, anything can happen. It is because of this that we decided to go into research and the development of the bomb detonation robot. When we get to the time when we feel the public should know, we will show it to them."
On the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) code-named "Amebo," which he claimed to be the first in Africa, the Commandant said its development was a product of the transformation agenda of the present administration, adding that "we do believe that Nigeria is capable of attaining higher pedestal in military aviation and defence related technology.
"Accordingly, in tandem with President Goodluck Jonathan transformation agenda, AFIT has for the past few years been focusing on defence-related research and development activities as part of its contributions to the realisation of his vision," Oshoniyi said.
He said the UAV had already attracted interest from foreign companies and awaiting test flight, adding that after a successful flight, it would be employed in aerial surveillance to track down pipeline vandals and other economic saboteurs.
Oshoniyi said: "It is pertinent to note that following the successful launch of the our Unmanned Aerial Vehicle - Amebo II last year, a modified and improved version of Amebo III was produced and exhibited at the recent Air Expo 2012, organised by the NAF. This latest version is awaiting test flight."
A total of 158 students, comprising personnel of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy and NAF as well as civilians will graduate from the Master of Science, Postgraduate Diploma, Higher National Diploma and National Diploma programmes of the institute.

| Only God knows
One major function of the Holy Spirit that lives in you as a Xtian is to work with your spirit to determine right and wrong, true and false, good and bad etc. [The ability to know]1 John 4:1 says "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world" John says that because he knows you as a Xtian has been given the ability to determine [ability to know]1 Cor 2 12-14 says (12) We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. (13) This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. (14) The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned- If you don't have the spirit of God in you, you'r not a Xtian - If you have the spirit of God, then you have the ability to determine [ability to know] the truth and false, good & bad, right and wrong ... - If you confess you'r a Xtian and at same time says "only God knows", you'r a born to die fool; a religiously packaged idiot and an innate branded illiterate

Their car will have a plate number positioned in front of the car, below its radiator, just a few millimeter above the front pumper and the car will be driven by a black man who will dress in a pair of trousers, upper body wear and footwears. They will rob and before the police will arive they have gone.
