A psycho who sliced off a British woman's head at a supermarket Friday claimed he was a "prophet of God."

The sicko reportedly swiped a knife from the store and stabbed the woman before beheading her.

The gruesome murder took place in Tenerife, a Spanish island popular with British tourists.

Cops in the town of Los Christianos arrested a 28-year-old homeless Bulgarian man after he fled the supermarket still holding on to the victim's head.

The victim, 60-year-old Jennifer Mills-Westley, was apparently chosen at random, a local official said.

Mills-Westley's daughter, Sarah, told the BBC, "She was full of life, generous of heart, would do anything for anyone."

"I parked my car and saw a man running out with something bloody in his hands and a security guard chasing him," one witness told a local radio station, the BBC reported.

"He threw it to the ground, it almost hit me and what he had been carrying was a woman's head," the witness said.

Spanish media reports say the suspected killer, identified as Deyan Valentinov, briefly spent time in a psychiatric hospital and believed he was a "prophet of God."

The mayor of Los Christianos, Jose Reveron, said Valentinov was no stranger to the police, saying he was known for harassing people on the street. In once case, Valentinov knocked out a man's teeth, the Daily Telegraph reported.

"Everybody is shocked. It's a very safe area," Christina Perez, who was nearby during the attack, told the Telegraph. "You can usually go anywhere you want in the day or at night. This is really not normal."

An Iranian woman who was blinded when a man threw acid in her face may finally get revenge by pouring acid into her attacker's eyes.

The literal use of Sharia law of an "eye for eye" was granted to victim Ameneh Bahrami, 30, after Majid Movahedi, 27, was convicted of the horrific 2004 attack.

Movahedi threw a bucket of chemicals on Bahrami's face after the electronics graduate rejected several of his marriage proposals. She has undergone 17 surgeries, but has lost all of her eyesight and is badly scarred.

Mavahedi was scheduled to rendered unconscious at a judiciary hospital in Tehran on Saturday while Bahrami -- who asked for the punishment -- placed five drops of acid into each of his eyes.

But after several groups, including Amnesty International expressed outrage over the cruel sentence, authorities decided to postpone the procedure on Saturday. It's not clear when, or if it will still happen.

"Regardless of how horrific the crime suffered by Ameneh Bahrami, being blinded with acid is a cruel and inhuman punishment amounting to torture, and the Iranian authorities have a responsibility under international law to ensure it does not go ahead," Hassiba Hadj Sahraoui, Deputy Director of Amnesty International's Middle East and North Africa Program said.

The two first met in 2002 when they were both students at the same school.

Bahrami told CNN that Movahedi continually threatened to murder her if she refused to marry him.

"He told me he would kill me. He said, 'You have to say yes.''

One afternoon Movahedi followed her to the bus stop. When she turned around, something was thrown on her and she felt her body was on fire.

"I was just yelling, 'I'm burning! I'm burning!"

Under Iranian Islamic law, such retribution is allowed in cases of bodily harm.

Bahrami was eventually awarded $30,000, but she told the court she didn't want his "blood money."

"Inflict the same life on him that he inflicted on me," she said.

Apowa, (W/R) May 4, GNA - Tragedy struck the residents of Apowa, near Takoradi, when a 34-year old unemployed man committed suicide in his room. The Kwesimintsim Crime Officer, ASP Ben Ofori Acquah, told the GNA in an interview in Takoradi on Tuesday that, the mother of the deceased, Rose Abakrow, decided to go and wake his only son up for morning devotion around 0630 hours on Saturday April 30.

However, he said, there was no response after she had knocked several times on the door.

Therefore, she called other relatives who helped her to break the door but they found the deceased had hung himself with an electric cable. ASP Acquah said the mother of the deceased told the police that her so= n had suffered from asthma for nine years and sometimes threatened to end his life.

But she constantly advised to trust in God for his divine healing. He said the deceased's mother told the police that her son had not married in spite of persistent advice to marry and he had no problem with anybody.

The Crime Officer said a police search in the deceased room retrieved a note pad with the following words written in it: 93Dear mother, I can't take it anymore; life is dealing with me so hard that, I can't take it any longer. What I'm experiencing in this world is too hard to tell. I have decided to take my life but mother, trust in the Lord and worship him, don= 't look elsewhere but pray for God's strength. Good bye". ASP Acquah said the corpse had been deposited at the Effia-Nkwanta hospital for autopsy.

Yaw Sarpong, a farmer from Tikobo No. 2 in the Jomoro District is helping the Half Assini Police in their investigations into the killing of a six-year old girl on April 20.

The Jomoro District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) John Dzineku, who briefed the media at Half Assini at the weekend said, on April 20, the girl, Manza Blay-kyie was playing with her friends with a cutlass near a public borehole at the outskirt of the town at about 1730 hours.

He said an unknown assailant emerged from a nearby bush, snatched the cutlass from one of them and inflicted a deep cut on the neck of Manza, killing her instantly.

The Police Commander said the assailant fled into the bush and could not be traced when people arrived at the scene.

DSP Dzineku, however, said after the murder, a farmer in the town only identified as Sarpong appeared at the spot and drank some of the blood from the girl's fatal wound and used part to wash his face.

Consequently, the police arrested him on suspicion of using the blood for rituals.

The body of Manza has been deposited at the mortuary of the Half Assini Government Hospital for autopsy.

The Police Commander said the police had intensified their investigations to arrest the culprit.
