3  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Boko Haram ‘Likely’ to attack Lagos & Ibadan in next few weeks, Pan Yoruba group on: 19-06-2012 08:53 AM
A new pan-Yoruba group, Apapo Oodua Koya, (AOKOYA) said today that it has “trusted” information that Boko Haram, the dreaded extremist Islamic group, is likely to attack Lagos and Ibadan in the next few days or in the month of July.

“Boko Haram thinks the best way to get attention is through sustained attacks, but the surest way to dominate national discuss and stir critical opinions is to take the battle to the country’s economic hub, which is Lagos and Ibadan,” the group said in a statement in Ibadan signed by its Secretary for Internal Affairs, Alhaji Mufatau Adedoyin.

“That is the new thinking of the Boko Haram leadership.”
AOKOYA expressed regret that the political leadership of the South West has no concrete plans to curtail the “almost inevitable” suicide bomb attacks that the Islamic group may unleash on the largely urbanized Yoruba region.
It said that the frequent activities of Boko Haram in Kogi State, plus last weekend’s bomb attacks on Kaduna city are clear indications that cities in South West Nigeria must be prepared for their own dose of suicide attacks from Islamic fundamentalists pushing for sectarian leadership of the country.  The group described the bombing of ECWA church in Kaduna as a calculated attack on the Yoruba people, as they are the most notable worshipers in ECWA churches across the country.
Said the statement: “We have intelligence information that Boko Haram will attack the largely vulnerable Yoruba cities on or before the month of July this year. We fear the carnage that will result from violent attacks on Yoruba cities. It is naïve to assume that Boko Haram will spare Lagos, Ibadan, Warri or any of the Yoruba cities. At present, the Yoruba political leadership relies on the Nigerian Police and the State Security Service, (SSS). These groups are too polarized, corrupt, inept, politicized, ill-motivated and hunted by low morale to be able to offer any hope for the Yoruba people.”
AOKOYA, which describes itself as a Yoruba self-determination group, noted that as Nigeria inches towards 100 years of the forceful amalgamation of the country by imperial lords, “the dissolution of the country should be a natural expectation given the tear, sorrow and blood” that has been Nigeria’s story since 1914.
“There cannot be any redeemer for a nation that is destined and designed to collapse,” it said. “We urge the Yoruba people to rise up and work hard to ensure minimum casualty in our search for the inevitable Oduduwa Republic. We seek alliance with the Middle-Belt, Igbos and the South-South, for the greater future of a traumatized population that have been pushed into the cesspool of underdevelopment, hunger and starvation in the hands of a hateful social and political system that offers nothing but destruction and the spilling of human blood.”
Calling for the assistance of the international community to Nigeria “to prevent the carnage that may arise from the inevitable break-up of the country,” AOKOYA said the bombings will not abate simply because the social and political contradictions of a diverse, plural society being forced to live under one law and value has reached its breaking point.
“The issue is no longer whether the country will break-up, the real issue now is when and how,” the statement said.  “The people face the grim reality of either a violent break-up or ceaseless confrontation with blood and anguish in the hands of extremist forces.”

A 54 year-old illegal immigrant of Nigerian origin, Bimbo Olumuyiwa Oyewole, was on Monday [May 14] arrested at his home in Elizabeth, New Jersey for using the identity of a man, his co-worker (Jerry Thomas) who was murdered 20 years ago.

Scroll down for video…

Oyewole, has worked at the Newark International airport as a security supervisor for about 20 years under the name of Jerry Thomas and has passed background checks and renewed his license every two years with the Department of Customs and Border control.

According to the report, he had all the documents he needed, including a birth certificate and a social security card of the murdered man which may trigger further investigations to find out if he was actually involved in the murder of the original Jerry Thomas.

Oyewole’s employers, FJC Security, said it conducted a background check on the guard as had New Jersey state police and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

FJC spokesman Michael McKeon said: “In all cases, he passed the background checks. During his time with FJC, he had nothing in his record or his performance to indicate a cause for concern or a reason to question the state police and federal government’s background checks.”

He is due to appear in court on identity theft related charges.

...Alleged moneybag and ibadan politician Rotimi ajanaku (who is rumoured to be eyeing the presidential elections come 2015) is at the centre of a messy debt scandal involving him and actress tonto dike.
According to insider report

"Tonto was introduced to rotimi by fat yoruba actress eniola badmus. And both became friendly to the extent that when rotimi ran into debt in january this year,he called tonto and begged her for a loan explaining that he needed to settle the bills of the lady who had delivered a baby for him amongst other bills. He asked for a loan of N5million which she gave him and he promised to pay her back after five days when the cheque he was expecting cleared but he didn't redeem his promise and instead began to dodge the actress even to the extent of deleting her from his blackberry friendslist and refusing to take her calls".

squealer continues"the actress gave the 'oni-igbese' an ultimatum to pay the borrowed sum or she would involve other friends but Mr ajanaku did not respond. The actress finally told their mutual friends about it,the mutual friends now informed the actress to step back and join the list of ladies waiting to collect back their monies from the suave talking politician who becomes incommunicado the minute he collects any loan."

From the look of this story the borrowed money has probably gone down the drain but I urge tonto to donate money to charity next time instead of allowing herself become a victim of local scam!....tonto shine those your eyes biko!
As for the alleged 'oni-igbese' please stop borrowing money from ladies and doing the vanishing act,the law of karma will soon catch up with you!............selah
8  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Filmmaker Evag. Helen Akpabio's 3 brothers all killed in one night on: 3-05-2012 03:44 PM
Cross River based film maker and founder of Liberty Foundation Gospel Ministries, Evangelist Helen Akpabio lost all 3 of her younger brothers on the same day in March.

The brothers, Joseph, Charles and Emmanuel Akpabio, were killed on Sunday March 25th in front of their aged mother.

The killings - shocking, barbaric and reminiscent of a mafia-styled gangland bloodletting -  crime was allegedly perpetrated by a combine team of the State Security Service (SSS) operatives and a Nigeria Police squad.

The killing which was a culmination of a well-laid plan started on March 24, when three anonymous white men came to Mbente Village in Nkari clan, Ini Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, the village where the decased, Emmanuel and Joseph, lived. They (white men) came in the company of one of one Benjamin Christopher Akpan Otu from Ifa village of the same clan. The three white men allegedly came on a courtesy visit, inviting youth leaders of the clan to come for a meeting concerning a dam that is to be constructed on their land.

Joseph Akpabio, one of the youth leaders, invited people in the village to welcome the visitors. The visitors requested for a formal meeting the next day. The youths had no idea that Benjamin, whom they consider a friend and who escorted the white men was a bait and that the other men in the white men’s entourage were actually SSS operatives. The next day’s rendezvous was fixed at Ikot Ekpene, which is about one hour drive from Nkari clan.

Benjamin, further suggested to Joseph that the meeting should be in his wife’s house at Ikot Ekpene. Joseph unwittingly accepted. The “Judas” went ahead by calling the Akpabio elder brother, Charles, a sailor who resided in Calabar, and informed him of the meeting. The latter called his brother to confirm it. To forclose any suspicion, the scheming Benjamin and his white men invited a few other youths, who were executives of the Nkari Youth, one Solomon Udoette, two others from other villages in Nkari and also the last of the Akpabio brothers, Emmanuel.

The next day March 25, the invited youth leaders left for the meeting not knowing they were on their way to their death. Joseph the host of the meeting bought drinks and prepared snacks for the coming visitors. He went the extra mile by asking his wife to buy petrol so that they could put on light and fan while the meeting lasted. The white men and their escort, Benjamin, called Joseph Akpabio to be sure he was there. They also confirmed whether his elder brother Charles, who lived in Calabar would make the meeting and the still-unsuspecting Joseph told them he was on his way.

Before long they were all assembled in Joseph’s compound. The mysterious white men came in a truck driven by one Toppa, who incidentally was a friend to the younger Akpabio, Joseph. Also in attendance was Benjamin Christopher Akpan.

Shortly into the meeting, the white men called for an interlude so they could hold a brief discussion among themselves outside. Just as they stepped out, the generator went off. The host’s wife who went out to check the cause of the power outage was confronted by about 20 policemen who all wore black T-shirts. She witnessed the final betrayal as the white men shook hands with the leader of the squad, a certain Noel Nduka before they departed.

Then the nightmare unveiled. The policemen rushed into the house rounded up those inside, handcuffed them and herded them into their trucks. Thereafter, the true intention of the meeting began to unfold as Benjamin Christopher Otu who was also handcuffed had his own handcuffs released and he suddenly began to discuss freely with the police. The police wasted no time in showing that they meant business: they shot all the six young men in their knees. Then the bizarre happening began to take the shape of a vendetta, as the Judas, Benjamin, replied that they should “go and shine in the grave”, when questioned by his friend Joseph about what crime they had committed to deserve such a treatment.  With the traitor acting as their guide, the police drove their victims to their village allegedly to find the father of Emmanuel, Charles and Joseph with the intention to kill him also.

When the death squad got to the village, they gave their traitor guide a mask to cover his face so as to hide his identity. Back to the very compound where the meeting was held the previous day, the policemen stormed the house searching for Chief Essien. However, their quarry was not at home. As they ransacked the whole house, breaking down locked doors, the masked accomplice (Benjamin) led them on with sign language, directing them to pressurize the Akpabio’s mother, madam Atim to produce her husband. When that failed, they dragged out two of their victims Charles (whose broken legs had been tied wit rafia ropes) and Joseph and dumped them by plantain trees. The two elderly women, one, their 72-year-old  mother, the other their uncle’s wife, aged 82 years cried, begged the policemen to set them free and to tell them what their crimes were. At that point Joseph did manage to tell his mother that Benjamin had set them up using the dam project.  The two boys were shot before the very eyes of their mother and their uncle’s wife while their other brother, Emmanuel, and the other three young men were taken away.

Later, Benjamin confided in one Peter Ekpenyong Inuaeyen that the four boys who were not killed were being detained at the State Police headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia. He also gave out some phone numbers which include that of Noel Nduka, the SSS officer who allegedly shot the brothers.
When a call was put through to him, Nduka allegedly confirmed that he killed the three brothers, claiming that they were terrorists. According to reports, when asked about whom they had terrorized, the SSS operatives was alleged to have claim that he has the right to kill anybody he is asked to kill.

How the other captives met their end gave a picture of a mindless cruelty. By the next day, March 26, the remaining four young men who were still alive—Emmanuel Akpabio, Solomon Udoette and two others – were driven to Obot Akara and then shot at the boundary of Nto Edino and Obot Akara at about 1a.m. of March 27, 2012. Benjamin, the Judas, again called his confidant, Peter Ekpenyong Inuaeyen and told him that “all are gone”.

Noel Nduka, later told a local newspaper that the police team encountered some robbers who operated between Abia State and Akwa Ibom and had killed all four of them.

Meanwhile, two weeks before the tragedy, Benjamin, the deceiver, came with his accomplice, Toppa, and told the late Joseph of how the youths of the land were vandalizing the property and equipment for the dam. Benjamin insisted that since Joseph is the youth president he should call Charles to accompany him to go and pick some of those things for safety. Charles later told his wife that Benjamin did a strange thing by filming them with his camera phone while they were doing that. Today, the police are using what Benjamin recorded as their evidence to the fact that the boys have been stealing from the dam.

Killed and abandoned by the road, efforts made by the family of Chief Essien Akpabio to have the corpses of the murdered young men buried decently has been futile. A lawyer, who went to see the DPO of Obot Akara, was sent back empty-handed by the recalcitrant police boss.

At the moment, it is alleged that Noel Nduka is still insisting that he must kill Lady Apostle Helen Ukpabio whom he claimed has been aiding the kidnappers. He has also sent threat messages and calls to the only brother of the deceased, Henry Akpabio who is resident in UK. He is alleged to have boasted that “they” are commissioned to eliminate him and the entire family of Chief Essien Ukpabio.

In a brief phone chat with Sunday Express, grief-stricken Helen Ukpabio, said all her family wants now is justice and the recovery of the corpse of her remaining brother. “My life is in danger, but I’m not deterred, my family and I will follow this wicked case of injustice till we get justice. You cannot kill my innocent and defenseless brothers and expect me to keep quiet because you are working for the government.”

What appeared like an unending feud between two star actresses, Lizzy Anjorin and Iyabo Ojo for about three years has now become history.
An industry source squealed that the two pretty thespians, who had been like day and night since 2008 have agreed to sheath their swords, having considered peace as the best option for progress in their career.
The source further disclosed that the peace was brokered by a top socialite, who felt concerned about the prolonged feud between the two actresses.
However, details of how the reconciliation was achieved are still sketchy. The two top actresses are happy that their long drawn battle of supremacy has ended at last.
It would be recalled that the two thespians fell apart sometime in 2008 at the movie premiere of one of their colleagues, Sikiratu Sindodo, which held at Event Place, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos, over what was described as supremacy battle.
Since then, they have both been at loggerheads, leaving their numerous fans in doubt as to whether peace could ever be restored between the two. Now that they have agreed to sheath their swords, the industry is expected to see the two thespians work together again as friends and colleagues.
10  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Medical Miracle: Pakistan Baby born with Six Legs has Successful Surgery to remo on: 20-04-2012 08:36 AM
When I first read the news of a baby born in Pakistan with six legs, my heart went out to the child and his family. His case was one in a million – the extra limbs were that of conjoined twins who did not completely develop in the womb.

After the doctors established that the baby did not have six legs, but had got extra limbs of conjoined twins, they suggested a surgery which was carried out on Thursday 19th April, 2012 and were successful in removing the extra limbs.

The young boy from Karachi in Pakistan was born on Saturday April 14th, 2012 by caesarian section. He had a succesful eight-hour operation by a team of five doctors who fought to save the boy’s life at the National Institute of Child Health (NICH) in Karachi, Pakistan yesterday. He is now said to be in stable condition and his parents are rejoicing over the successful operation.

His complex birth is the first ever in the history of Pakistan.

The head of the NICH, Jamal Raza, said the abnormal birth was the result of a genetic disease which would affect only one in a million or more babies. “It was strange that apparently an abnormal baby with six legs was as normal as other children,” he said.

Before surgeons could operate they said they had to work out which of the limbs belonged to the boy and which to his twin. A team of five doctors was assigned the task to examine the baby and carry out initial tests like blood test, MRIs and X-rays to diagnose the case.

According to media reports, father of the baby, Imran Sheikh, is an X-ray technician whose meager salary of 6,000 Pakistani rupees a month was impossible to cater for his son’s treatment at the hospital. He appealed to philanthropists and the government of Pakistan to help his baby boy. Pakistan Baitul Mal – a charity organization in Pakistan – helped the poor family for their child’s treatment. The family also collected some money from their own sources while the major help was tended by the Baitul Mal.

‘We are a poor family. I am thankful to the government and doctors for helping us successful operating my baby,’ he said.

He said they were planning on naming their son Umar Farooq.

The news of this boy’s successful surgery in faraway Pakistan is gladdening. Thankfully, this boy would be able to live a normal life with two legs. Through no fault of his or the mother’s his story could have been a different one.

A parasitic twin is sometimes referred to as an asymmetrical or unequal conjoined twin. It occurs when a twin embryo begins developing in utero, but the pair does not fully separate. One embryo continues developing at the expense of the other (the parasitic) which will rely on the body of the other for blood supply and organ function. It is incompletely developed and dependent on the other twin. The independent twin is called the autosite. In some cases the body of one twin absorbs the other during development, known as fetus in fetu. In January a boy in Peru was operated on to remove his parasitic twin from his stomach.

I say a big ‘Well Done’ to the doctors who performed the successful surgery on the young boy. And a big ‘God Bless You’ to the philanthropist organization who helped pay the boy’s medical bills.

May you live a long and fulfilled life, Umar.

12  Forum / Relationships & Romance / 5 Great Reasons To Date A Married Man on: 13-04-2012 10:10 AM
Ladies, if you’re on the singles scene long enough, you’ll undoubtedly attract the attention of a married man or two. You’ll know him from the nice suit (that his wife bought him for Christmas), the tan lines from the wedding ring that now resides in his Bosom  pocket, and the sob story about the overbearing, under-caring burden he voluntarily shackled himself to umpteen years ago.

And oh, how caring he is—the most understanding man and the best listener you’ve ever met. He sends you flowers, calls to check in with you throughout the day, just because. He places you on a pedestal so high you can touch
cloud nine. He satisfies your needs—at least one or two of them—until he’s forced to leave skid marks in your doorway to get home to “them.”

In his eyes, you’re perfect. Not quite perfect enough to immediately leave his wife and sweep you off the market so no other can have you, but perfect enough to be his mistress for like ever—or until his wife figures out he’s cheating—whichever comes first.

Of course this isn’t an issue because you didn’t want a monogamous, committed relationship with a man who puts you first anyway.

Apart from the whole marriage thing, your relationship with Mr. Right Now is progressing swimmingly in your little adulterous Camelot until you’re overwhelmed by the unexpected presence of three guests: guilt, shame, and humiliation. I’m here to tell you to ignore those feelings and the impulse to call him and tell him it’s over.

Frankly, your conscience is as stupid as your heart and knows not the sacrifice it’s asking you to make. To ease your angst, here are five great reasons to continue your affair:

1. You have low self esteem… and you’d like to keep it that way.[/b][/b][/size]

Let’s face it, nothing says “I hate me” more than to willingly accept the second-class stepchild status you’ll be relegated to for the entirety of your relationship with this man.

2. Sharing is a good thing.

After all, you don’t deserve a loving man of your own. Better to enjoy the short end of the stick than have no stick at all, even if it means destroying a family a tiny little bit. At least you don’t have to do laundry and cook–well, not in the kitchen anyway.

3. You’re no “ho”—hos do it for free.

You’re so right. There’s another term for women who do it for pay. Hey, he’s wining and dining you, buying clothes and jewelry, paying a bill or two (maybe even the mortgage). Way to blow the kids’ college fund. It’s all good though because fair exchange is no robbery. Just be thankful you can’t put a price tag on character. That would really suck.

4. He’s going to leave… someday.

OK, maybe not on his own. Perhaps he’ll leave after his wife finds out about your affair and throws his crap out onto the front lawn, you know, kind of like quitting your job after you got fired. Then you’ll have a real prize on your hands. A man who spent months, perhaps years, deceiving the women he loved. Now you have the honor of slipping right into her shoes. Yay for you!

5. You just want sex and don’t want or need a commitment.

Hmph. Too bad his wife did. Still, it’s great that you found someone who gives you exactly what you want. Thank goodness you’ll never need more.

*******************

Oh, you thought this was going to go the way your feeble mind thought? Winks. I refer to the person reading this who's dating a married man.. Go figure babes.. *Tongue in cheek*
13  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Reward For Hard Work: Tolulope Falokun, Student with Best Overall WASSCE Result on: 12-04-2012 03:12 PM
Despite the mass failure recorded by students in the recently released National Examinations Council (NECO) and Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, some students have distinguished themselves and continue to make the country proud with their exceptional performances.

One of them is Miss Tolulope Falokun, a former student of St. Louis College, Akure, Ondo state, who scored the best overall result in the 2011 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). She topped over a million students who sat for the same examinations, scoring A1 in all nine subjects she registered for. She went ahead to rank tops in the 2011 UTME scoring 290 and emerged as the second overall best student in the Post-UTME conducted by the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife with 336 marks.

As a reward for her hardwork, the Ondo State government yesterday awarded her a scholarship to study Law at the Obafemi Awolowo University for doing the state proud as the overall best student in the 2011 WASSCE.

Apart from the full scholarship, she would also benefit from the state government’s annual bursaries and other packages provided for Law students both in the University and the Law School.

Miss Falokun’s achievement is indeed a breath of fresh air coming after the public outcry that followed the release of the NECO and UTME results.

In the recently released 2012 UTME results, only 49.64% of the 1.5 million candidates that sat for the examination scored 200 and above, with only three candidates scoring 300 and above out of the total mark of 400.

Similarly, just about 10% of NECO’s 104,187 candidates obtained credits and above in five subjects including English and Mathematics. And in the 2011 WASSCE, only about 30% of the candidates got up to five credits including English and Mathematics.

I wish Miss Falokun the very best as she steps into the University. She has certainly done the nation proud.

Congratulations!
14  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Wife, Children And Boyfriend Beats Husband To Death on: 12-04-2012 11:14 AM
Tragedy struck in Ikpamodo Village, Enugu-Ezike in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State last weekend when a housewife, (names withheld), her three children and the woman's boyfriend, allegedly beat her husband to death.

The deceased was a popular bicycle repairer in the town. He was a Catholic.
His offence: The late bicycle repairer was accused by his widow of disturbing her with his early morning prayers. The widow is a native doctor.
A family source told Daily Sun that the woman, had allegedly been tormenting her husband and even built her own house, demarcating her husband's compound with a big fence.

On the day, the man was murdered, she was said to have told her husband that she was not comfortable with the manner in which he had been disturbing her charms by saying long prayers every morning. But the husband, a devout Roman Catholic, told her that he had never supported her practice as a native doctor.

A serious argument ensued between them which led to physical attack. Another man, said to be her boyfriend, who is also a native doctor, was alleged to have joined her in attacking the deceased. The man's children rushed to the scene and instead of separating their parents, allegedly assisted in beating their father with sticks and logs of wood. The man slumped and died. Sensing that her husband had died, the widow, her children as well as her "external husband" took to their heels, abandoning the man's body..

Neighbours and villagers arrived the scene. They took the body to the Ogrute General Hospital, but the doctor confirmed him dead. His body was later deposited at the hospital's mortuary. The matter was reported at Ogrute police station. The suspects were promptly detained before being transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Enugu. There was tension in the community. The youths organized themselves and set the six-room apartment of the widow ablaze.

One of the irate youths who spoke to our reporter, but did not want to be named, said: "This is an abomination in our community. Nobody has ever committed such sacrilege. That is the reason we decided to take the law into our own hands and burn her building to serve as a deterrent to any other person who may try such evil act again"
15  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Newborn baby found alive in morgue 12 hours after being declared dead on: 12-04-2012 08:37 AM
A newborn in Argentina was found very much alive in a morgue by her mother 12 hours after hospital staff had declared the baby dead.

The mother, Analia Bouguet, tells TeleNoticias TV that the hospital still has issued her only a death certificate for the infant rather than a birth certificate. Bouguet said she is planning to pursue a medical malpractice suit.

The Daily Mail reports that the baby was Bouguet's fifth and was born prematurely.

Two hours after being issue a death certificate, Bouguet and her husband visited the morgue because they wanted to see their child one more time.

"The baby was there and they put the little casket on a stretcher. We looked for a bar to pry it open," the baby's father, Fabian Veron, said in a press conference. "My wife looked and uncovered it slowly. She saw the little hand and then uncovered the face. That's when it let the first little cry out."

"That night, we went to the morgue. We wanted to take a photo of our daughter," Bouguet told Argentina's Clarin newspaper. "But when a worker opened the drawer, we heard a cry and she was alive."

The newborn has been named Luz Milagros, or "Miracle Light." She is still listed as being in critical condition but is said to be improving. The deputy provincial health minister announced that five medical professionals involved in the case have been suspended, pending further investigation.

"At the moment we have no explanation," hospital director Jose Luis Meirino told the paper. "The baby was attended to by obstetricians, gynecologists and a neonatologist. They all reached the same conclusion, that this girl was stillborn."

A Ukrainian teen who was gang-raped, dumped in a ditch and set on fire has died days after she posted a tragic online video revealing her ordeal.

Oksana Makar bravely told from her hospital bed how she was raped, strangled and burned by three men in a savage attack which stripped off 55 per cent of her skin.

Her harrowing hospital video, filmed by her mother, emerged after medics had been forced to amputate one of her arms and both her feet in a battle to keep her alive.

But after a two-week fight for life, health officials in Donetsk said Oksana, 18, died yesterday of severe burns and damage to her lungs.

The rape attack on Oksana shocked Ukraine with its cruelty, and also caused nationwide protests against corruption after police initially released two of the suspects who had powerful connections in the region.

Two of the suspects were Maxim Prisyjnikov, 23, the son of the regional administrator, and Artyon Pogosyan, 21, the son of the regional prosecutor, according to the Hurriyet Daily News.

The 18-year-old claims she was invited by Prisyjnikov and Pogosyan to their friend Yevgeniy Krasnoshek's apartment, where she was allegedly raped.
They tried to strangle her to death before wrapping her in a sheet, dumping her in a pit at a construction site and setting her alight, it was alleged in the Kyiv Post.

Miss Makar was found barely alive the following day by a man who heard her moaning. After undergoing surgery, she was finally able to recount her ordeal to police.

She regained consciousness last week Friday, but doctors induced a coma and moved her from a hospital in Mykolayiv to a burn treatment center in Donetsk.

In an interview with Gazeta.ua after the attack, she said: 'I could not feel my body. At first, I was screaming for help.

'But there was nobody there, I began to pray. I thought I had died. I remember it all as if in a fog.'
The three suspects were arrested, but two of them were released later that day due to lack of evidence, according to the Mykolayiv prosecutor’s office.

Is Micheal Essien married? Because I do not understand why he is hiding his face from waiting photographers who caught him leaving Aura Nightclub, Mayfair with some random white chick, after a night partying with his Chelsea team mates Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda and Ashley Cole.

I mean these groupies go to these clubs with one thing in mind, to snag a Premiership footballer, and if all goes well that night they may be upgraded from groupie to regular shag partner, then with persistence maybe girlfriend status, and with fasting and prayers…maybe just maybe the holy grail…WIFE!

As far as I know Essien isn’t married, but maybe he has a girlfriend that he knows won’t be happy to see this photo…or maybe he’s just embarrassed to be photographed with the chick. I kinda can see why. #NUFFSAID

Didier Drogba who is very married arrived and left alone. Well at least he wasn’t snapped leaving with any chick…hahaha

20  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Man Beat Wife Of 4 Days To A Pulp Over Alleged Affair With The Bestman on: 27-03-2012 09:16 AM
A newly married man. Nicky Pearce, who is supposed to be having a blast with his bride currently cooling his feet behind the bars after accusing his wife flirting with the best man, then beat her up and smashed all their wedding gifts.

The couple Tammy Driver, 21, and Nicky, 29, separated upon returning from their honeymoon weekend, following a violent row at their home near Aberdare, South Wales.

Jealous Pearce flew into a drunken rage and attacked his new wife, grabbing her by the neck before allegedly biting her and breaking her nose.

He has now been jailed for a year after admitting the assault.

Narrating her ordeal, the devastated bride said: "The sacred vows that Nicky and I took four days earlier meant nothing to him at all. He promised to love me and take care of me for the rest of my life. but it was nightmare.

Blah. Blah.. Blah... Blah.... so she is just finding out the vows meant nothing to him? Definitely there must have been traces of his anger during the courtship (If they ever courted in the first place) and she probably just ignored it.

Now her life is history is now a headline news around the world. Anyways her story will make Kim Kardashian feel better.

At least hers lasted for 72 days and there was no physical abuse involved.
