If cultural values is to be preserved, let them build museum and display masqurades attire and their history there. Else, abolish the whole thing. A lot of evil is being perpetrated behind those useless masks. I could remember while i was serving in imo state (2007), how masqurades are mercilessly beating women and nakeding them because they wear trouser. The whole exercise need to be sanitized or abolished.
The action and reaction that trail mama HID Awolowo (publisher of Tribune) rejoinder to Omotseye (editor of the Nation) article on Awolowo dynasty, and the humble response of Asiwaju Tinubu (Publisher of the Nation) on the said publication brings to mind a vital issue: without Awolowos ,what would have be Yoruba nation fate? Or, is there no other person who had contributed to making a Yoruba nation a pride in our dear country? Please help me out!
