Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Muslim Beauty Pageant Is Satanic, Unislmaic – Nigerian Muslims |

I am a Muslim. While I do not support this beauty contest, I do not think this young woman deserve the humiliation and condemnation she got. The rhetoric was full of hatred and violent words. I just hope no harm comes to her. This is a learning experience for everyone.
This happened in Indonesia, the largest Muslim nation in the world. I do not think these contestants were parading in bikinis or any revealing attires. The organizers may have been misguided but I do not think they intentionally set out to insult Islam.
Remember they too are Muslims.

| Good policing through information gathering is all what Naija need to combat crime. Good job guys.
Bravo to the Police Intelligence Unit for a good job. Now the Police have to resist the temptation to accept bribe and let this senior bank executive off the hook. What a greedy bastard? His hefty paycheck was not enough, he wanted to hit the jackpot. I do not believe this is his first time. He must have been a robber for a awhile but ran out of luck this time around.

| LIKE FATHER LIKE SON,HIS FATHER IS ROBBING THE COUNTRY AND HIS SON IS ROBBING THE PUBLIC.....ANYWAY,POLICE WILL COLLECT MONEY FROM HIS FATHER AND RELEASE HIM....THAT IS NIGERIAN POLICE,WHERE THE INNOCENT WAS KILLED AND THE OFFENDER SET FREE.....................
What else can I say? Brother you got it all right to the disposition phase. This Senator's child will be released as soon as his father pays the police and judge. The son will then be rewarded with a trip to a foreign country to hide for a few years. In most countries, the Senator would resign out of shame and honor. In Nigeria. the boy had a great teacher .......serving senator for a dad.

| This most be a set up, a man of God with out a wife what is he doing with stolen money
A set up? How did you figure that? This does not look like a set up at all. The Rev. Father must have been doing this for a while only this time he had gotten caught wearing his cassock and packing a pistol. He is a regular criminal pretending to be a man of God. A con man and robber. He stained the the image of priesthood and must not be allowed to go free.
How can people defend this heinous criminal? This priest terrorized his community and take the little they have. He is a two bits hoodlum. Someone please show me where in the Bible, it says it is okay for a priest to engage in armed robbery. The bible says "Thou shall not steal". And it is one of the Commandments.

| I will comment on this priest and his crimes but first let me say something about the crime situation in Nigeria. Crime persist when the punishment is relatively light compared to the gains from crime. In most parts of Nigeria, criminals do not fear going to prison or getting caught since they know that they can buy the judge and serve a very short prison sentences. In fact, the average sentence in prison is a two to three year vacation for heinous crimes. What a criminal needs in Nigeria is a crooked police man to provide the gun and uniform, and a corrupt lawyer who knows how to bribe the corrupt judges. Some crimes are federal crimes punishable by death sentence if found guilty in court. These include illegal possession of fire arms, murders for hire, armed robbery and kidnapping. No one as been executed lately for any of these crimes especially kidnapping. There are kidnapping every week if not daily in Nigeria. And the criminals have been caught and tried. Most are awaiting a light sentence and vacation in out prisons.
The priest Rev. Father Ani, is a disgrace to priesthood and the christian faith. He decided to use arms in stealing from his community. He is no different from his fake pastor friends who shake down church members every Sunday into making contributions they can ill afford. They are promised heaven when they die but they have to pay for that privilege while on earth so that the Pastors can buy personal jets, have mistresses everywhere and live extravagant and opulent lifestyles. I hope he will take his bible with him to prison. He will have a "faithful" audience waiting.

on: 29-09-2013 04:30 AM
| Personally, I think these actors deserve more for entertaining us. They do more for the Nigerian public than our elected politicians. The Senators and National Assembly House members make upwards of 20 million per month for doing nothing. These ladies, work harder, are better educated than most of our senators, representatives and governors. I think they need to ask for better paycheck for each movies.......they deserve better.

Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Nigerian Killed By Son In London?:Tolu Kalejaiye Stabbed To Death At Her House |
on: 29-09-2013 04:16 AM
| Those of us who live outside the country have been observing the bad behaviors of a small percentage of first generation Nigerians in various countries. While most African children overseas are well behaved, a few are problem children engaged in crimes. These children totally lack good manners and respect for adults, never listen to their parents and always want more than their parents can afford. I once witnessed a 19 year old girl slapped her mother for refusing to buy her a new car. She rejected the 5 years old car her mother bought her. She has not worked a day in her life yet she was demanding a new car. Today, that same girl is in jail for a felony she committed with some of her friends. The root of this tragedy could be traced to the lack of parental supervision when these children were very young. Often parents have to work at two jobs and also attend school. The children are left to raise themselves. Sometimes, the parents do not know who their children have as friends. I hasten to add that this is not only a Nigerian community problem. Other African children mostly from Somalia suffer from the same problem. dan fulani | | |

Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: I Tried To Stop My Son From Joining Islam and Radicalizing:Mother of Woolwich |
on: 27-05-2013 03:56 AM
| What happen in Woolwich was horrible. The killing was unnecessary. The soldier did not deserve to die. I hope the killers are brought to justice for murdering an innocent man. It is easy to blame the parents when a child commits a crime. Perhaps the child did not learn right from wrong. Most parents try their best to raise their children the best way they can and teach them good from evil. Sometimes, the child fail to accept taught values and morals from home and school. In this case, these men are naturally bad people. They wanted to kill and used Islam as justification. They got the negative attention they were seeking and regretfully tarnished Islam. I hope people will judge them for what they are: vicious killers. And NOT judge all Muslims.

Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Corruption: Northern Leaders Demand Death Penalty For Corrupt Leaders |
on: 16-11-2012 04:03 PM
| Child nor craw, him they waker? Why not start with some year inprisonment, befor death penalty.
Sometimes a very drastic measure is needed to eradicate a serious problem. Corruption is one such problem. Death penalty is a very appropriate consequence. This was suggested by AREWA forum, knowing very well that Northern leaders would also face same consequence. This goes to show that Corruption is problem everywhere in this nation of ours. Today, corruption is an official policy of the ruling party. They are too weak to police/monitor themselves. It used to be that if your friend is stealing you ask him to stop, today political friends do not ask each other to stop. They compare notes to see who stole the most. Death Penalty is appropriate. It may not end corruption, it will decrease it. dan fulani. | | |

Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: PROSTITUTE!! PROSTITUTE!! PROSTITUTE!! (Page 47) |
on: 27-10-2012 07:30 AM
| [size=13pt] Prostitution is a very complex community issue. Please folks don't be too quick to judge those who turn to prostitution to survive. It is difficult for a woman to result to this way to make money to support their families. It involves lots of risk. Reasons for women engaging in prostitution include poverty, needs for money to care for their families, and lack of employments. If you ever take time to understand the reasons why women turn to prostitution, your feelings about them will change. You will have more sympathy than hate for these struggling women. When a woman with children suddenly loss her husband in a car accident, how will she feed her children? Chances are she may end up as prostitute.

Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: WHAT IS WRONG IN GETTING MARRIED TO MY SIS. IN-LAW? |
on: 27-10-2012 06:52 AM
| I recently approached my BIG brother and his wife to inform them about my decision to marry the wife's younger sister, they were both against it. I rushed to inform my mum, she was also against it. Why can't i marry my sister in law? brother.
There is nothing morally, biologically or legally wrong with marrying your sister-in-law. Waco, you did not say why your family is against you marrying her. Is the girl too young? Are you not financially able to get married? Or is there any other reason?
In some communities, it is not uncommon for two sisters to marry two brothers. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It happens in many parts of Nigeria. Brothers from one family can marry sisters or cousins from another family without any problem at all.
