1041  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: i'm in love with five girls on: 21-12-2010 08:13 AM
This boy (not yet a man) at 27 has not learned that the numbers of women you
sleep with does not make you a man. These self created problems prove that you are still acting
like a child in a candy store. A matured and responsible guy would have only one girl and not
sleep aroud, and develop the relation into something permanent like marriage.
You said that you introduced a girl to your parents. Why not stay true to her?

No mature guy gets a woman he does not love pregnant. Sleeping around does not make
you a man. Respecting yourself and women, being safe as in safe sex, and being responsible
make you a MAN.

1042  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: 25 nigerians on death row in libya on: 21-12-2010 02:58 AM
I read this article twice. I feel sad and angry by everything I read here. This may come to fellow readers as a shock: Libya is within their right to try foreigners who commit crimes in their country and also give them the harshest punishment including death penalty if found guilty. I personally think any one that went to another country to commit crimes deserve to be punished.

Two reasons for this. First, capital punishment will deter people who are planning to go to Libya in future to commit crimes to think twice. Most people now know that if you commit crimes in Libya (or in some countries), you will get caught and be punished severly. Executing one nigerian crinimal means one less criminal they have to deal with.

Secondly, some nigerians who were deported after a short time in prison overseas, go come back to the same country and repeat the same crime again. This time using a different passport and name. Most asian and arab countries know that the nigerian authority (justice system) does not keep the promise to keep criminals away from their country.

Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Libya, China and USA are some of the countries where nigerians have been senterned to death recently for serious crimes.

Nigeria needs to start educating citizens who travel overseas that they should obey they laws of their host country and if they commit crimes they are on their own. You commit the crime , you pay the price.

This could be the commonest ways married people protest or show their displeasures to their spouses.
Personally, this would not have worked for me. When I was married, I do all the cooking. My wife was
not a good cook plus I am a very health conscious guy, I want and need to be sure of the food I eating
is prepared correctly. If I need to protest or show my displeasure I could refused to cook or even have
sex with her because I have so much control when it comes to sex.

Well, well, well....shame on all you brothers who droll over other men's wife. Go out and get yours. Nigeria
has so many beautiful and available women just waiting for good, hard working men who are ready to get
married and stay married.
My unsolicited advice to you men with long necks is that you get a job, get into church, find God and get married.
Remember God's ten commandment: EXODUS 20 : 2-17
Number 7: Thou shall not commit adultery
Number10: ..."Do not covet thy neighbors wife" is the one (of the ten commandments) that most apply here.
Remember that, brothers.
REPENT!!!!

1046  Forum / Politics / Re: Kaduna Gov ill, flown abroad on: 12-12-2010 10:48 AM
I will start my comment by wishing theGovernor a quick recovery.

This story is a complete reminder of the existence of two Nigerias. One for the very rich and another for the rest of us.

The rich and priviledged in our society can afford to jet overseas for treatment at any time and sometimes
at the expense of the government. The governor is in this group. On his return, he needs to do some soul searching.
The governor need to ask himself what happens to the poor in kaduna State when they get ill? Do they have access
to any medical cares? Do the poor hop on the plane to europe for medical care when they get ill? What can he,
the governor, do to make health care accessable to everyone in his state? He can start by building hospitals for his people.

The less fortunate Nigeria is one where the maority of people live. Most are mor likely to die from any illness they have. They have no acess to any medical treatment. Nigeria can afford to build one hospital in every city with over 80,000 people. We have enough revenue to accomplish this, however greed and lack of polical will stand in the way. Nigerians need to stand up and demand
that government provide the necessary health infrastruction to make life easier for the masses.

1047  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: ‘Nigeria Among Top 10 World Economies’ on: 10-12-2010 11:40 AM
Folks, you are being lied to. Nigeria is not in the top 10 world Economies. Not even in the top 20. The rich economies G-20 just held their semi-annual summit (November 11 -12, 2010 in South Korea) and Nigeria is NOT a member. South Africa is the only nation in the continent of Africa that is a member of the G-20. Even countries like Spain and Netherlands are not members. Both countries have better economies than Nigeria.

Nigeria was present as an "observer nation"... a polite way of saying, Nigeria was there to beg for assistance from the rich economies of the world. When begger nation go to these meetings, they plead with the rich economies for investments and loans.
Nigeria could have been a member but our politicians mis-managed (stole?) our resources. (Read Nigeria Economic History)

South Korea and Indonesia are both members. These two countries were poorer than Nigeria a generation (about 30 years ) ago.
Today, they are industralized and emerging markets with seats at the table at the G-20 summit.

If you read about the economic history of Nigeria, you will feel two emotions...shame and anger. Nigeria's wealth and resources were grossly mis-managed in the years since independence. Corruptions of the greatest proportion was the "unofficial" policy especially under the military generals. Why do you think Nigeria is the least transparent (hiding all the information) country in the world? They do not want the citizens to know how the oil revenues are spent.
Again, people you are being lied to by your government.

Why the rush? Slow and gentle hand is  always better. Ladies like the gentle and easy touch.
Give her time to anticipate the flowing joy that soon will be hers....or coming to her anyway.
Anticipation is making her wait.........again no rush.

This could be true ..however it is wishful thinking.....Reality is that love fades, and romance does end. And the lady does recovers and find another love. As for the men, being the first is not a big deal.

I have been reading all the responses, just too funny. Now my thoughts: Those stereotypes no longer hold true.
Women can change into the best match, partner or the worst nightmare regardless of where they reside. A villege
bride could just be as good or as bad as the next lovely or wicked woman. Just have to be careful when you make
your choice.

Brave to all you nice folks for preferring Love and personality over tribe for your love interest.
Well I did enjoy reading most of the responses. Most responses suggest that most Nigerians do not
let tribes dictate who they fall in love with.
Count me in, I choose love any day to tribe.  I was born and raised in Kano but that does not mean
I have to go for first for a lady because she is Hausa or Fulani. Love comes in various shape, size and tribes too.

1054  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Jealousy: Sex Workers Strangle Colleague (Page 2) on: 7-12-2010 10:12 AM

Do not be so quick to condemn a woman for being a prostitute. Ask a few questions and you will realize that no woman set out to be a prostitute. Most were forced into prostitution due to circumstances or conditions beyond their control. Top on the list is severe poverty. You may be surprised to learn that prostitution is the only way some women can provide for their families. Majority of these women took up prostitution because they do not have any skills, or any other way to earn a living.

Prostitution is a violent way to earn a living. Nature of prostitution makes sex workers venerable to harm and crimes.  Men who patronize them abuse them. They do not have any protection from the police. Nobody comes to the aid of a prostitute whenever she is in trouble.

Rather than condemn the prostitute, we should all have sympathy for them and try to find ways to help them leave prostitution and find a legal way to earn a living.

Murder is a major crime so those responsible for the death of that poor prostitute need to be found and punished to the full extent of the law. Jealousy is no reason to kill a rival.

This is sad. This girl probably does not know that once you post Nood images on the internet, it will stay there forever.
She need someone to seriously talk to her. This is the reason why girls should stay in school and get educated. This girl is
ignorant.

This is a tragedy for these young victims. We should all be angry and need to demand actions from the governor and the police in Owerri, Imo State. Those rapists should be found and castrated. They have committed unforgiveable crimes against our children. If children cannot feel safe in their beds at night in their dorm rooms, where can they feel safe?

Armed robbery is a very serious problem in most parts of Nigeria and does require a very forceful and direct solution from the Nigerian police and the
judicial branch. A generation ago, armed robbers were executed after trials. Notorious ones like the infamous Dr. Oyenusi and his gang were executed publicly.
I think we should go back to those days and start executing dangerous criminals. Those involved in kidnapping should also be executed.

I found this story to be very disturbing and very shameful. A university is supposed to be a safe environment for learning and character building. Criminals and disorderly students do not belong on any university campus. I hope those responsible for these cowardly and  criminal acts are brought to justice. They belong in prison not on a university campus.
