For the fact that some pastors and church leader have confused themselves with some portions of the bible with the aim of decieving people that knows not much about our lord jesus christ and his doctrines, holding firm what we call "the doctrine of man" checkout Mark 7:7-8.with the aim of gaining all the benefit of there churches, they now use it as a means or medium of making money "Romans 16:18".
 They use a portion of the bible like John 1:12 to convince people to believe in there own doctrine leaving behind the doctrines of Jesus christ "1John 9-11".
 Jesus christ gave us a law through his disciples that women are not permitted to speak in the churches of Christ rather they should ask there husbands at home. Check 1corinth 14:34-35 and 1Timothy 2:11-14. Here, he never allow any woman to be a leader in the church but to be submissive in all things.
 Why is it that people left that which Jesus christ said as to do that which man said?
 He said in John 14:21"if you love me, you will keep my commandments" but these leaders claim to love God but despise his commandments. I want to why you call yourself a christian if you can't keep his commandments?.

@Helives4ever, U shuld know that even Jesus Christ and His disciples never thought us that nor to pay tithe but what the did was(1corinth 16:1-2),so if u tell me that ur a christian and disobey what Christ and His disciples did I doubt ur christianity in u,even others because christian means 'Christ Like' those who behaves or act like christ in every ramifications.

Christian is never fake.by the word christian means ''Christ like''.if u are a christian u will Love Jesus Christ and He said those that Love him are those that obey his commandment. And to obey him means u're not just a xtian but a practising who does the word of God(John 14:22-24).

From the onset,Tithe means 1/10 of ur farm produce.God himself chose Jacob,given the name Isreal from which we have the 12tribes of Isreal whom God has chosen to be his people amongst other nations existing, which u and I were not included(Ephesians 2:12).Amongst the 12 tribes He chose the levites to to be priest depriving them of other belongings which other 11 may have gotten. When the Levites collects the Tithe from the other 11tribes,they will also pay tithe to the high priest Eron(numbers 18:6-7,20-32)....Ques;what and what are used to  pay Tithe?
