Good for him!
He now has enough money to order for a large consignment from Columbia and get some good discount for bulk purchase.
He'll still have change to hire mules that will do the carrying - Baba Suwe can now retire.

Black people! Attitude absolutely different. Inferiority complex will affect simple intelligence. I've worked for a number of Directors of Banks and FTSE Corporations abroad and you would never know how rich these guys - they don't need to flaunt the way this crass man and the others before have decided to go all in the name of flaunting.
I hope his car can levitate the potholes of Nigeria or is it meant to be parked in his compound all the time.
By the way, who is he - is he a musician/actor/politician  Sad

7  Forum / Politics / Re: Ex-gov's wife duped in London - Aide absconds with N50m !!! on: 8-07-2011 10:01 PM
Quote from: teemah on 18-05-2008 05:43 PM
A mild drama played itself out on Tuesday night at the Hearthrow Airport when the wife of a former governor in one of the Southern states was duped of £200,000 (about N50m) by one of her aides.
It was gathered that the ex-governor's wife (name withheld) waited for over four hours at the airport to receive the said money from the aide, but was shocked when it dawned on her that the aide had absconded with the money.
Nigerian Tribune learnt that the aide had a day before her boss departed the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, for London, been given the £200,000.00 for onward delivery before she played a fast one on the former First Lady.
The aide (name withheld) was said to have bought a Virgin Atlantic air ticket to London and had even checked in her luggage in the presence of the unsuspecting former first lady to convince her that the trip would be made immediately her boss board an earlier flight.
It was also learnt that the former governor’s wife decided not to be on the same flight with her aide because doing so could arouse suspicion from security operatives at the airport which could lead to the checking of their hand luggage.
Sources at the airport told the Nigerian Tribune that no sooner had the erstwhile First Lady's aircraft taken off, than the aide reportedly cancelled her flight which was expected to take off a few hours after that of her boss.
It was further learnt that immediately the former First Lady arrived in London, her first port of call was their newly acquired mansion on Ashmore Road, where she hurriedly dropped her luggage and raced back to the airport for the aide whose flight was expected to arrive in a few hours.
Immediately the arrival of the aircraft was announced, the former First Lady was said to have stood at the arrival hall for several hours without seeing the aide.
She was said to have concluded plans to open one of the biggest fashion houses in the UK around Edgware Road with the money and had even commenced renovation works on the building before she was duped.
Nigerian Tribune gathered from sources in London that pressure from close friends and even relatives of the embattled former First Lady on her to report the development to the Metropolitan Police and its Nigerian counterpart was rebuffed.

The wife of the former governor was said to have immediately put a call through to her husband in Nigeria to inform him about what a source described as ‘the unfortunate development’.

Nigerian Tribune!
Nigerian media - newspaper, tv and radio are also a disgrace to the public. Did they say readers or viewers or listeners have done a crash course in decoding secret names of public figure as used by various media companies. For God's sake if you want to report a fact do it without fear and name the public figure and stop acting like whimps! Worthless bunch treating Nigerians like 3 year olds.
Stealing from a thief is no justification but no prosecution if the arrest that aide until Madam explains the source of that wealth, obviously she should be done for money laundering among several other offences. When you need Boko Haram you won't find them.

Why did she get married to Nurudeen (a Muslims) if she was a Christian since it's fundamentally wrong for Christians....and before some of you go off your handle, I have nothing against peace loving Muslims, but believe people should marry people they have fundamental common grounds with. Gospel artists or Gospel entertainer doesn't really mean she's a practising christian. Was it because the dude's a prince she married him - don't come with that "I love you" line. Anyway, they are both adults - it's just the child in the middle of the break up I pity, not the two stupid adults that don't know the difference between Love and infatuation and think Marriage Vows are like reciting the National Pledge.

Weddings are often overhyped and people spend their life on that day as if it's the end of the world - sometimes going broke in the process for hundreds or thousands of people who don't give a sh*t about them. Marriage is the big deal not wedding because then the can sing "I see your true colours shining through".

Hey! That's not fair! - Why did you limit it to the opposite sex! I got only one pal so far who appears intelligent and pleasing to look at and I would have mentioned what I would have done to her but this your limitation to opposite sex doesn't cut it at all.

Been romantic does not mean it has to be segxwal and nothing stopping me from loving my fellow man (as stated in the bible), as great buddies hanging out together, but not necessarily in an amorous way - so for this reason I am out!  Partiality no good o!

15  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: Ladies..... What will you do if a condom falls from your handbang in public (Page 5) on: 20-12-2010 01:42 AM
Since I'm a guy, I think it's time to buy a handbag and try that out! If it's a guy - everyone will say - Hmm...Player! Action guy! But if it's a woman the usual bad belle people will say - Hmmm.....Ashawo! Yeye woman! E no dey shame dey carry blom blow!
However, if it's a woman I'd advise her to give a poker face look; pick up the condom and walk away. Don't break the look, no smiles, no frown, no batting of eyelid; and if you are in the middle of a talk - walk away as I said then come back in a few minutes.
At the end of the day - what the heck is everyone's problem - trying to be sanctimonious - food, shelter, sex are human needs and the lady with the condom identifies with that need and is mature enough to get some prevention.

@LEONE - Wow! If kneeling down means humbling one's self to get presidency I'd be happy to sit in hot ashes for weeks on end to get the Presidency.
Hmm...Alas, Nigeria won't allow anything good to last long so I'm sure the ash-seller would sell me fake ash and I'll be there sitting for 4 years inside ashes waiting to become president - O mase o. :'(

Hey! I have not said it yet but - I LOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOve Naijapals - Far better than nairaland which obviously has its uses - AND I beg o don't start a thread of which is better naijapals or nairaland - I beg again o!

17  Forum / Politics / Re: Jonathan goes spiritual on Endorsement on: 20-12-2010 01:20 AM
Before I make my statement - I have little respect for most politicians and that respect is non-existent for Nigerian politicians who have made many of us leave our father/motherland and adopt other nations; and who have made Nigeria to sin! As usual I'm going to get some attacks from this write up - from political supporters who have their gains in sight and religious proselytes and die-hards; but the statement below is simply my digital groans bear with me.

Nigeria! Wonderful country! Always sentimental like the British people who always believe they will win the World Cup but yet can't even host it.
Okaaaay....So Mr. President did his divine seeking in public view - does that make him a good president or someone looking for cheap publicity and popularity knowing how easily swayed Nigerians are with anything to do with God or their upheld diety. Gordon Brown, former British Prime Minister did some publicity stunt at the Festival of Life held some years back too. Sentiment is dangerous. So what happens (or would have happened) if every Political aspirant at every level queued at the Redeemed Camp that day for prayers. God save Nigeria if all their prayers get answered - we would be the first country with multi-presidency - LOL!

Although I'm not following the political stories and unfortunately I don't know the actors but I can imagine the presidential aspirants...I think Atiku is still in the race (right?) shouting "Ol boy - Mr. Jonah hurry up now! Na only you wan collect prayer! No finish the prayer o! After this one na, I know say you go still go beg "Egbesu" make e come fight me, ba"? ....and you guessed right; on the queue, behind Atiku is the endless heads of financial wasters and 25% Budget allocation experts ready to score big with "divine intervention".

3 Questions...which may lead to more questions if my fingers get itchy:

1. What really was Jonathan's game plan going there (the Redeemed Camp)? - Is he not already a president - why did he not display the need for divine help once he took over the helms of power as President (even as vice president) like Solomon did in the bible? Or is God needed only in times of re-election (or whatever term you wish to call his unique case). Should we not commend him for realising he NOW needs wisdom to provide saftey and tackle kidnappers Smiley.

2. "But I must tell you that none of these will work if God is not there for us. Pray that God should guide us" - What was he trying to pass across...Hmm...He definitely has confirmed the fear of the Ostrich....God has not been there for them especially with the looting and the tacit approvals in the form of unbelievable punishments for those who steal big - either in the public sector or the capital market. My question is should politicians of the complexity found in the reformatted DNA of Nigerian politicians be allowed to fraternize with religious leaders. These bunch are the biggest menace to society hence I always ponder why religious heads have ANY dealings with most of the unscrupulous creatures. Albeit in the bible, the prophets were very revered and spoke fear into the hearts of the Kings and I used to, BUT have stopped wishing the same for a supposedly religious country like Nigeria. It is sad that most of the politicians and wannabe politicians (ex-military officers) have continued in the footsteps of King Rehoboam in the bible....who is often quoted him as "the King who made Israel to sin". Religious leaders are supposed to be gifted (ANOTHER TOPIC FOR ANOTHER DAY), and be able to discern the hearts of men and should fear no one but speak the tough love truth at all times (like in the case of prophets of old - Elisha/Elijah and yep! Jesus - used to have a go at Herod and Pharisees). If so much pauperism, so much injustice, so much crime exists and religious leaders don't speak out - like Gani did in his time but go ahead and......(DELETED BY POSTER).
I'm not a religious leader (but I'm currently a christian drop-out! I love God, He is real, true but can't reconcile what I get from all the religious stuff around me with him (Oh....ANOTHER TOPIC FOR ANOTHER DAY).

3. What really would have happened if more than one position aspirant got prayers that day and even after day?

I am careful not to say too much because I know that Nigerians can be toooooooooo sentimental so I will say go and listen to a bit of Fela to get you back into some reality check about politicians and the other type of players in Nigeria including religious leaders and ITT style corporate executives.

Baba Fela, I hail o!

Me, I don't like quarrel and like to settle quickly (too much negative waves in quarrels) so in the interest of peace - I wish to apologise on behalf of every single person in the North, South, East and West of planet Earth, who demands an apology for everything done or said against them from the time of creation to the end of time. At the end of the day - people will stereotype it's left for you to distinguish yourself and be different from the stereotyping if it's a negative one.
Can this post die a respectable death quickly. Phew!!!  Lips Sealed
19  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: '' Niaja Demands An Apology From Edo Girls'' on: 19-12-2010 11:26 AM
The same way most Nigerians give Edo State Girls a blanket criticism and stereotyping is exactly the same way most foreigners consider Nigerians - as fraudsters, corrupt, greedy, violent and of recent suicide bombers and kidnappers. Unless I'm wrong - I believe that would be a poor and ignorant representation of Nigerians; in the same vein the stereotyping of Edo girls would be wrong.

Don't be fooled by the domestic media giving the country a good impression of themselves while the rest of the world jeers at them. My colleague at the bank I work with in the UK once told me that, had he not met me he believed every Nigerian was a fraudster - would that be a right or pleasant thing to say - that is the same principle that you should consider about the girls from Edo State.
Are all Edo state girls promiscuous - I believe that will be wrong to say so. Before you all judge the book by the cover you may want to consider why some of them are into prostitution - what has led them to that state if not for "Lack, caused per Governments' systematic pauperism".
I did my NYSC in Benin years ago and I swore I would never go back there again - simple because I saw an oppressed people, oppressed by a Father-Son Government....oh yes and one cancerous idiot called Bob Izua! Poverty in that place has got many to do sad things - men (robbers/419) and girls (sex entertainers).

As a parting note -
1. There is no evidence that the girls in the movie clip were students, let alone Benin students (very poor standard of grammar and diction when they spoke);
2. There is no evidence that these girls were from Edo State (it is just the typical stereotype behaviour we have of different people);
3. Though there is no evidence - It is plausible that the P*ickhead filming could have hired 2 sex entertainers to do whatever he liked, filmed them and paid them. Also, though there is no evidence, I'm sure a lot of pervs found on this site would have liked and it may tickled their fancy and aligned with their fantasy. On my part I saw nothing wrong and kind of happy that things like this get into the open, maybe because I'm a guy and the way many guys' minds work is quite different - perhaps naughty and kinky!; Unlike many conservative and less exposed girls you'd find in Nigeria. Sex is second nature in Europe that hardcore stuff is taught in early primary school years in many schools in the UK. You hear of wife-swaps; gay; bisegxwal; transegxwals - I've been on the streets or in the bus and have heard teenagers bragging about their new found segxwality - that doesn't mean every teenager here is bisegxwal, gay or a lesbian - No! I'm not ignorant - in their case it's a convenient choice, a less convenient choice is at the bottom of this reply.

Regarding the apologies - Give it a rest! Most people in their right minds did not grow up to become sex entertainers, they were either lured and deceived; or coerced into it. Coercion could be physical or from survival instinct propelled by lack of basic amenities which the un-Lucky Igbinedion family deprived them of all (in the case of Edo girls).

It would be better if we don't apply the quick fix method to our problems but do a historical analysis of an event or incidence - why are xxxxxx doing this now? Then you trace it back - find the cause and nip it in the bud instead of looking at the present issues and condemning the results from past actions/inactions of others.

For a less convenient choice - You may wish to read this if you have not read it before - http://www.afrik-news.com/article15535.html   Sad
