A survey conducted by condom manufacturer, Durex, in which 29,000 people in 36 countries were interviewed has ranked Nigerian women as the most unfaithful in the world.

According to the survey, Thailand men are the most unfaithful in the world, with 54 percent of them admitting to cheating on their spouses. South Korea came in second with 34 percent, while Malaysia ranked number three with 33 percent.

The survey revealed that the top two countries with cheating women are Nigeria, with 62 percent, and Thailand, 59 percent.

39 percent of Malaysian women also confessed to having betrayed their partners. Russian women came fourth at 33 percent while Singaporeans are fifth at 19 percent.

An independent survey also conducted in Africa by AE affirms the fact that Nigeria with a population of over 160 million tops the chart for cheating women. Corruption and a general distrust amongst citizens is largely responsible for this.

Suspected assassins this afternoon shot Mr. Steve Nwosu, Editor of Daily Sun newspaper.

A competent source close The Sun who broke the news to Transport & Business Express disclosed that Mr. Nwosu was shot at Mazamaza as he made his way to The Sun’s Corporate Headquarters at Coscharis Street, Apapa. The scene described by the source is not too far away from the Sun office.

“They shot him in the head but he survived it,” the source said. “This is clearly the work of suspected assassins.”

Mr. Nwosu, who writes a powerful column in The Sun, was said to have been shot in his official Toyota Avensis car.

“He was sitting in frong beside the driver when he was shot,” the source told Transport & Business Express. “He has been taken to an undisclosed hospital and is said to be in a stable condition

MAKURDI—Two National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members died, yesterday, while four others are in critical condition at a hospital in Gwer Local Government Area of Benue State, following an accident involving a 14-seater bus, which crashed into a farmland on Makurdi-Aliade Road.



The ill-fated vehicle, a Volkswagen bus belonging to the Anglican Communion, Diocese of Otukpo, plate number Benue AE 135 JUX, was conveying the corps members from the Benue State Orientation Camp in Wannune, to their places of primary assignment in Otukpo.

An eyewitness told Vanguard that the driver of the bus, conveying the 14 corps members apparently fell asleep while on top speed, “and all we saw was that the bus skidded off the road and somersaulted several times in the bush.”

He said members of the Igbor community rushed to the scene to rescue the victims.

He said: “When we got there, we alerted the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, which also rushed to the scene.

“As we axed the bus, we discovered that two of the occupants were dead, while others were rushed to Saint Vincent Hospital Aliade for treatment.”

Among the early callers at the hospital, where nine of the victims were recuperating, was Governor Gabriel Suswam, who lamented the unfortunate incident.

Governor Suswam, who also visited the state secretariat of NYSC in Makurdi, directed that the victims be transferred to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makur-di, for further treatment.

When contacted, Benue State Public Relations Officer of NYSC, Mr. Chidi Nnorom, confirmed the deaths.

ENUGU – MATHIAS Nweze, a native of Umuida, Enugu-Ezike in Igboeze North local government area of Enugu State, has reportedly shot his wife dead.

The police said yesterday, that they had commenced investigation into the bizarre incident which occurred at about 11pm last Saturday.

Vanguard gathered that Nweze, popularly known as “Honourable”, claimed that while he was sleeping in his house that fateful night, his generator went off twice without knowing the cause.

Having woken up suddenly, he suspected that some thieves may have invaded his compound and as a result, brought out his pump action gun and pointed it towards the direction of the generator.

Without wasting time, he allegedly fired several shots apparently to scare the alleged invaders but unknown to him, his wife was around the place.

Nweze only realized that he had shot his wife when she screamed saying that the bullet had hit her. The woman fell down, bled profusely before sympathizers rushed to the scene.

She was later rushed to New Testament Hospital Ogrute, Igboeze North council headquarter where doctors confirmed her dead.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident, said the corpse of the deceased had been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy. “We have commenced investigation into the incident that led to the shooting of a housewife by the husband,” he said.

Hon Femi Gbajabiamila representing Surulere inLagosStatewho initiated the debate on budget implementation, suggested that if the economy is not properly greased by September then the House may not have any option than to start impeachment process against the President.

Gbajabiamila in his argument stated that “the President had come to the floor of the House with a budget which he called transformation budget but it  is a budget of abracadabra and  voodoo.”

As the whole House received his declaration with loud ovation, Gbajabiamila continued: “The president is not doing anybody any favour as constituency projects are done all over the world.

I have met the President, he is a fine man, I like him but I like my country more because when the budget is not implemented, our constituents suffer and it leads to lack of infrastructure; so come September, if the budget is not 100 per cent implemented, we will start to throw articles of impeachment at the president”

THE end of the road came for Adewole Femi, a civilian who has been parading himself as a senior police officer when he was arrested by men of the Lagos State Police Command.

‘Officer Femi’ as he was fondly called by unsuspecting Nigerians, who hails from Ilolufu Village in Ondo State, had been parading himself as a Deputy Superintendent of Police until officers at the Igando Police Station eventually arrested him.

He was arrested for impersonating a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and defrauding people in Lagos metropolis of their cash and other valuables.

His arrest followed his encounter with one of his many victims who was promised admission into Customs Training College, Ikeja.

The victim was made to part with N30,000 as an admission fee.

When the admission was not forthcoming, his victim contacted the Igando Police Station where it was revealed that he had been defrauded by a fake DSP.

Femi was later arrested and during interrogation, confessed that he was the leader of a five-man criminal gang operating in Igando.

He later said he bought his police uniform, rank, shoes, cap and other paraphernalia at N7,000, and had been defrauding people in the past five months.

He said one Sergeant Okiki sold the police uniform to him with the assistance of one Juliet Abdullahi.

Parading the suspect on behalf of the Commissioner of Police (CP), Alhaji Abubakar Umar Manko, the command’s image maker, Ngozi Braide, a Deputy Superintendent said the other suspects still at large would soon be arrested.

A New York man said he was questioned by security at a San Francisco airport for a bulge in his pants that turned out to be his unusually large penis.

Jonah Falcon, 41, who has been featured in multiple documentaries about unusually large penises, said he was preparing to depart San Francisco International Airport to return to New York July 9 when he was stopped by Transportation Security Administration agents who noticed an unusual bulge in his pants, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Wednesday.

“They wanted to know if I had something in my pockets, and when I said no, they asked if I had some sort of growth,” he said.

Falcon said he was patted down and the agents “checked the area around it” but didn’t frisk his genitals too harshly.

Falcon, whose penis measures 9 1/2 inches while flaccid and 13 1/2 inches when erect, said he was only delayed about 5 minutes and the incident was mostly amusing.

“It was probably harder on them than it was on me,” Falcon said of the TSA agents.
