ANOTHER Nigerian-born player, Kabiru Adewunmi was on Tuesday night murdered in the United States.
This came after the circumstances leading to the death of former Super Eagles defender, Uche Okafor on January 6 this year in Texas, USA are yet to be unravelled, after the preliminary report stated that he hanged himself to death.
Only two days ago, Super Eagles' defender, Olubayo Adefemi was committed to mother earth following a tragic automobile accident in his Greece base.
Adewunmi, was tragically murdered, while walking with friends to a convenience store on Chicago's South side.
The 16-year old had played for the Chicago Fire's 17-and-under soccer league, where he attracted the attention of Division I scouts from around the country, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Adewunmi was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds at 10:30 that night at Jackson Park Hospital, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
As of yesterday morning, no arrest has been made by authorities in connection with the murder.
