If there is something like state prosecutors the case will make it to the court, right now no mention is made of any kind of investigation, the matter may likely died without any justice. Even if it involve the law enforcement, they will in fact want out of court settlement after money has changed hands.
RIP Elia!

This demonstrate the absence of Child right in the Nigeria constitution.
Firstly there is no birth registration and social security number and address system.
The local government authority hardly can identify their service functions and responsibility to the people.
Parents also remain ignorants of Child right, just as the government.

In a country where there is Child right, access to food, shelter, education and protection is provided by both parents and the government. Government is not Federal government ,but local council from the ward . In a case of separation of couples, the custody of the child has to be established and social workers will continue to visit. Child support will have to be paid, amount determined by the economies of the parent without the custody and also the cost of living.

The government must wake up and put in place Child right law as enunciated in  the United Nations Child s rights.
224  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: CHRIST EMBASSY: Worshippers Pay N1,000 To Enter Oyakhilome’s Church on: 6-01-2011 05:39 PM
Chris has a business model for his Church. Worshippers are given the choice to make their own decision. No one is force to be a member or to be worship with him. It make sense if gate fee can effectively control the crowed otherwise there will also be another disaster of crowed control which often result to death of many people.  Folks should learn to pray at the corner of their homes. God hears such prayers if you are truthful to yourself. You do not need Chris to be sure of your salvation.  So Pastor Chris next year be sure to review the gate fee to  N5000  so that the hall will accommodate the true believers, if those that cannot afford the money are not serious believers.  I bet you from now on people will start saving for it.  But do not forget pay 30% tax to the government because it is a pure business.

people here should read to understand b4 posting comment. who told the police that the deceased drawn during baptism? whosoever told the police that story had a hand in the killing act. the person gave that story to police because he believe the corps will never be found, suprisingly, the body came out with no eyes and no tongue. Now, is this baptizing or ritual? police arrested the pastor because he was link to a murder act. night vilgin, baptizing all were link to the so called man of God. y shouldn't he be arrested?

This was a sound analysis of what happened. The pastor never knew that the body will be found.

This is sad! How can someone eye be pluck out in the name of baptism. Maybe the pastor was operating in a different subhuman level and subhuman interpretation of some verses that whatever will prevent the young man from entering the kingdom  should be plucked out!  The eye source of lust, tongue for lies and more! The pastor need to be charged for the murder of this young man. Also folks should know that your destiny is in your hand not a pastor. If you believe pray in your own house go to Church on Sundays if you like , tying your salvation to a pastor will amount to self estrangement and the result is always very devastating.
RIP Omoruyi
227  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Drunken policeman kills two brothers cos of N20, then mob kills him! on: 2-01-2011 04:35 PM
There is the need for the police to know  lay out  a clear operational procedure. They had often kill people on lame excuses such as fire on people when they fail to stop. There is no law that stipulates that they must fire on people that fail to stop, such fire amount to murder or attempted murder if the people got injury.
Also, if the police are discipline, and do their work as expected, when the traffic fail to stop, you get the details from the secrete camera you are having either in your dress button, pen or patrol van and get verification of the vehicle particulars online! I have never seen a situation where the police will admit such an excessive force when they are not in anyway in a dangerous situation such as exchange of fire.
People should also learn police procedure it is not right the law to start running when you done nothing wrong, neither is it right for the police to bring down such one with AK47 when they were not under fire.

I read through most of the comments , it seems Nigerians keep looking up to the Sky God for solution when they own their own destiny.
The way forward is sovereign national conference and a referendum to reconstruct Nigeria into her pre colonial state.  Nigeria after her independence never had the people constitution and all the pre colonial  heritage were systematically destroyed by every government and foreign collaborators.

Where is Benin empire, Oyo empire,   Bornu empire and some other dukedoms of the pre colonial Nigeria!

A suggestion for a  six state solution is far reaching. This is what Nigerians and the United Nations should consider seriously in order to achieve progress in the peace process.

Do not look for such things, email, tell phone message, it is not your account. Doing that you are over stepping the border.
What ever you look for , you will find one. So do not look for.

Please  folks  first lady is not in the Nigeria constitution. Banbangida brought it into the polity of Nigeria.  Goodluck Joe need not marry a new wife that has a BA in English language or literature.
Please  Pat should not be crucified for missing her O level English. She should be respected for being behind the success of her husband.
