Reliable sources gathered from the Nigeria Police Force narrated how EVERY Policeman, Policewoman, (every Rank and File), especially the Junior Officers buy their Uniforms like in a market place, including, Caps, Nigeria Coat of Arms Emblems on their caps and clothes, Shoes, etc. etc. That is some of the reasons why some Policemen who could not afford to pay the expensive Police Uniforms looks very dirty and unkempt. And some resort to extortions to make ends meet. Some are owed salary upto 6 to 8 months. Besides, they (Police officers) are not allowed or permitted to speak to the public about their predicaments, except through the Police PR units. And here, lies and deceits are the order of the day.

Most of the Senior Police Officers share the proceeds.

Apart from these, Promotion are being paid for. If you pay to a wrong Senior Officer, you loose your proceeds. So who you know, and not what you know or qualification is a criteria for promotions and merit award. No strong insurances backing and protecting their lives and families. Unemployment palaver forced many to stay inside and gnash their teeths.

NIGERIANS, HOW DO YOU (WE) EXPECT THE FORCES NOT TO BE CORRUPT WHEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DAY FROM THE MILITARY REGIMES AND SUCCESSIVE GOVERNMENTS KEEP BLIND EYE TO THIS EXCESSES?

IN MOST PARTS OF THE WORLD, 2 to 3 COMPLETE UNIFORMS ARE GIVEN FREELY TO EACH POLICE OFFICER TO DO THEIR NATIONAL DUTY THEY DO. In Germany, they get 7 Complete Pairs of Uniforms, Shoes, Caps with Emblems, etc. etc.
