1  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / UNIBUJA PARLIAMENT SUSPENDS SUG PRESIDENT: See Photos From His Reaction on: 27-01-2015 09:39 PM

In this season of serious political wars, it seems the war is not just between Jonathan and Buhari. Even students are exercising the political prowess if I may say.

Just this afternoon a circular was pasted around the school premises about the all edged suspension of the SUG president, Pelumi, by the Student Government Parliament for the next 1 month. See circular...

The President reacted few hours later by storming the boys hostel of the main campus, discarding such circular pasted saying that the decision was suppose to be approve by a 1/3 of the house but his suspension was only approved by just 4 parliamentarians which is not up to the 1/3 of the house. See some photos...

Some students wicked sha o! Some were even asking him to tell them his CGP sef. Student wahala!!!

3  Forum / Religion / Jesus' Trial Site Found; Sited in Jerusalem's Old City Open for Tours on: 7-01-2015 12:01 PM
Archeologists think they have found the site of the trial of Jesus under an abandoned building in Jerusalem’s Old City.

The find was made near the Tower of David Museum, which began expansion plans 15 years ago.

Careful excavation work at the site of a former prison uncovered what is believe to be the remains of the Herod’s palace, where Pontius Pilate sentenced Jesus to death.

The site has been opened to tours.
Jesus' trial site has been a point of debate among Christian scholars.

“There is, of course, no inscription stating it happened here, but everything —archaeological, historical and gospel accounts — all falls into place and makes sense,”

Shimon Gibson, an archaeology professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, told The Washington Post .

The Rev. David Pileggi, minister of Christ Church told the Post that he didn’t expect the discovery to change the route of the Via Dolorosa, which takes visitors on a trek from where it was believed Pontius Pilate held the trial to where Jesus was eventually crucified and buried. The route has change several times.

Joel Baden, professor of Hebrew Bible at Yale University, wrote for CNN that it is likely that two trial sites will co-exist .

“The timing of the announcement is linked entirely to the potential for tourist dollars, rather than to the remarkable historical and religious significance of the discovery on its Own terms,” Baden wrote.
