| True, I am very sick of all these men whupping (beating) on women. The Bible says that we should respect the law of the land - helloooooooo. They should put his raggedy ass in that 4 feet by 6 feet room called jail.
Do we even laws in 9ja, He should have been arrested by now for not appearing in court, but who would do that. Truely It makes me sick the way things are going in 9ja.

Whose so ever papa he is, he is not my papa, the only papa i know is the ALMIGHTY GOD. Let me borrow from your quote The Man Moses STRUCK a rock twice, He did not his fellow Israelites. Read your Bible the way it is writing, not how you want it be writing.

Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: CORRUPTION: Instead of good governance, First Lady gives out expensive Perfumes |
on: 5-05-2012 05:06 AM
| Wife of Benue State governor Mrs Yemisi Suswam in a move that highlights the waste and profligacy attitude of those in power have recently marked her 45th birthday by distributing customized bottles of designer perfumes to poor women in Benue state.
Mrs. Suswam clocked 45 on May 2nd with a grand party that took place in different parts of the state. She rounded off celebrations by handing customized designer perfumes branded "Yemsus 45" to poor rural women who could barely afford three meals in a day. Her flamboyant birthday splash has generated so much anger and condemnation in the state. Many of the women who benefitted from this "gift" are poor women farmers who have not been able to access fertilizers for the past 18 months as the products meant for farmers were diverted elsewhere with the active connivance of her husband and governor of Benue state, Gabriel Suswam.
A social critic in the state, Mike Atime said "It's totally wrong for the governor's wife to use public funds for such senseless display of wealth. The first lady's advisers have failed her. We must all condemn this."
Benue is one of the poorest states in Nigeria in terms of physical and human development. The Bureau of statistics rank Benue as the 8th poorest state in Nigeria, with some of the highest unemployment rates.
The local governments, closest to people at the grassroots level have been hijacked and turned to into cash-cow by the government of Mr. Suswam. Funds meant for the LGAs in the state are constantly raided by the governor while the pilfered funds are then used to feed disgusting lifestyles of not just the governor and his wife, but also their cronies.http://saharareporters.com/news-page/benue-state-first-lady-yemisi-suswams-perfume-profligacy This kind of attitude is one of the things that has kept us where we are today, and seeing smiling like a HE goat makes me so mad.

Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Women protest indecent dressing amongst female undergraduates |
on: 8-04-2012 12:30 PM
| OWERRI-Women in higher institutions located in Imo State yesterday protested against immorality among female undergraduates in the state. Over 500 women from Federal University of Technology, Owerri, under the aegis of Federal University of Technology Owerri Women Association, FUTOWA, staged a peaceful rally against indecent dressing, prostitution, violence and other vices prevalent in tertiary schools in Nigeria. Addressing the university community, the Association's President, Dr. Mrs. Ihuoma Asiabaka, lamented that "moral decadence is a social malaise that is threatening lives and future of our girls in the state." Dr. Asiabaka, who is the Vice Chancellor's wife, said, "we cannot afford the luxury of watching our children go astray in the name of modernity." She reminded the students that FUTO belonged to the global village, which the world had become and urged them not to portray the school in bad light. Vanguard recalls that female workers in tertiary institutions, under the umbrella of Women Associations of Tertiary Institutions, Imo State, recently rose from a meeting in Owerri, vowing to rescue the girls for a better future. Apart from the activities already carried out, a two-day intensive seminar/workshop would be organized for female students in all the tertiary institutions in Imo State. The women in the state should be commended, I give my thumbs up to them. I shudder each time I think of marring' an educated woman. That's inviting trouble into a peaceful home. | | |

Forum / The Buzz Central / Re: I’m battling for my life – Enebeli Elebuwa |
on: 31-03-2012 04:36 PM
| For ailing veteran actor, Enebeli Elebuwa, all hope is not lost as there are indications that he would bounce back to life again. He has been battling stroke, an illness that has left him bedridden and incapacitated for more than six months now. In a brief telephone chat with HVP, the ailing actor muted “I’m battling for my life. I don’t want to make my illness a public issue any more. I’m in a hospital, in Surulere area of Lagos.” Enebeli & Segun Earlier this week, reports had it that the actor’s health is getting worse by the day as he urgently needs prayers and support from all and sundry to stay alive. But speaking with HVP, Enebeli sounded optimistic and very hopeful that he would bounce back to life despite the odds. Though his voice was weak and inaudible on phone. Enebeli was first hospitalized at St Luke’s Hospital, Yaba, before he was later moved to St Tropez Hospital, Surulere, Lagos, where he’s currently receiving treatment. For a long time, nothing concrete has been heard about Enebeli’s health till now. Not long ago, it was rumoured that the Delta State born actor was taken to a herbal home by his family to seek alternative solution, after his condition failed to improve significantly. Outgoing National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria(AGN), Segun Arinze during his visits to the ailing Elebuwa in the hospital, was quoted as saying that “I’m seriously concerned about current state of the thespian’s health.’ Arinze then mobilized his colleagues in the A-list cadre to raise funds for proper treatment and welfare of the actor. HVP gathered that the Enebeli’s sickness has created more tension and fear among Nollywood practitioners, considering the rate at which prominent members of the industry have died in the last one year. They need to take time and look after their health when they Still have the time to. Key ingredient EXERCISE. periodic workout. while we pray for his quick recovery. | | | |
