Hey some 'over-educated' Igbo man was telling me that all IGBOS came from the jewish descendants, maybe he didnt know i was a member of Naijapals and i will come here to find out the truth, please guys tell me is this true or not?
Dguy, I am not sure if your man is "over-educated" or not. I think there may be some truth whether Igbos are from ancient Israel.  There are certain stories in the bible that still remains today as if the story in the bible are the igbo people story.

Examples:
Akeludeme? - field of blood - this is exactly the same meaning in the igbo language and has not changed.
NRI - the inscription written on the cross when our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified is a place where Igbos crown their kings to date.
Tel Takume - meaning Tata teta na ula kuoume - Little child (girl) wake up from your sleep.
Eloi, eloi, lema sabaka tianni - meaning exactly what it means in the igbo language because the land broke in half including the temple curtain.
Maranata- igbo to remind Him to Come Lord Come.
There are too many examples in the bible.  It is actually very obvious to me that Apostle Paul is an Igbo man indicating that the chances of some Igbos coming from the Benjamin tribe is likely.  Being the youngest of the tribe, writing down their history had never been their strongest suit.  The igbos do not keep old things so finding their history would also be difficult.  They have a habit of burying things too so archaelogist will have a field day in discovering Igbo ancestries.

Genealogy always causes immense friction so it is always better to leave well alone.  I am comfortable in accepting and believing that Igbos are from ancient Israel.

It is also important to remember Revelation 2:9; and Revelation 3:9.

It is indicated in the Catholic Bible (Macabees) that the real jews were forbidding from acknowledging that they are jews.  May explain part of why Igbos being called Jews were ceased (this is a guess on my part)

It has been a while, but in the earlier times, the Igbos money had the star of David on their coins.  There was a time that the Nigerian flag bared the star of David also.  If people search for these coins they will find it.

For they have gathered together and said "let Israel not exist".  The Igbos may have lost their identity because there was a concerted effort to deny them their heritage, but I think if Igbos knew the rights and place in history, that all the powers used in resurrecting the death will return back to them.

Some people have complained about some Igbos being ritualistic, greedy, betrayal tendencies.  These are all tendencies done by those that live in the flesh and not in the spirit, and this is not only fleshly sins given to some igbos.  It covers all races and cultures also, but not everybody in that race or culture is like that.

Igbos had an original language before that is in UK museum.  I think it is translated in English to mean the "Living Word".  I heard that there are very few Igbos that speak that language to date.

I have also seen movies made in North America where they show that the ancient ones are igbos.  They are not explicit because after they show you the people that have the knowledge and the beginning of the world, they will end it with an Igbo man speaking the Igbo language saying "O ga di mma"  I think a lot of Europeans and North American whites are aware of this truth, but it is some how important to keep this knowledge a secret.

What I think that if Igbos are aware of their heritage, they will be able to perform all the spiritual gifts and powers that were given to their forefathers in the ancient times.

Remain blessed.

I have lived and dine, sleep with ibo friends both old and young and they all have the greedy character in them. Some hide but at a particular time they will surely exhibit it.It might take years.
If you think when I mean friends I am referring to a girl who suck my pie then you are really wrong.I am talkin bout friends and real friends which I have kept right from my Primary days  even after we still graduate from the University.
Just for  Money they will betray you.It is not them.It is planted  in them.Ibo are greedy people and ritualist.
Just beware. If  any IBO person invite you go village for december, Na u sabi wetin them  go use ur life do for there.

This is too generalistic. Not fair nor true to blanket an entire tribe in that manner.

Trafficking on drugs in any country is not a good idea.  A drug trafficker is slowly killing the citizens that they supply these drugs to.

There is danger in this execution because some people have drugs planted on them without them knowing so killing them is not a good idea because nobody really knows the truth.

Nigerian government should enter into an agreement with Indonesia to receive its citizens back, try them in Nigeria and execute them if they are found to be guilty or sentenced for life in Nigerian prisons.

The disrespect of the laws of other countries if these people are guilty is reprehensible.

I think that many should circulate a petition for Nigerians to sign so that Indonesia will spare the lives of these perpetrators.  Write and call the Nigerian governments to do something.

Nigerian government should also be pressured to help its citizens.  Our government is government for the people and by the people.  If we complain and not take actions together as a group, nothing will change.

The love of money is the root of all evil.

I understand that he has agreed to divorce the remaining 82 wives to avoid execution.  I think he should be told that he can turn around and remarry them again but in federal court of Nigeria because the constitution allows him to marry as many wives as he wants.

Don't even know what to say but i think he know best why he married that whole lot and have that much of children.I feel embarrassed,i wonder how his house will look like, think he had better create a state of his own.Funny enough he's not complaining, the wives are not neither are the children, think he should be left alone to just be,if he actually chooses 4 out of the 86 women he calls wives, where would the others go and who wants to marry them, killing him wouldn't solve any problem as it can't even reduce the wives neither can it reduce that of the army of children he had been able to produce.Guess his name should be in the Guinness World Book of Records as suggested by someone and you know why? because he's great man (another Udeme)  Angry  Sad  Embarrassed  Cheesy  Grin (These are my mood on this issue)

I agree with you.

what the man did is what we call man inhumanity to his fellow human being.i don,t no why they should let this public hearing.put that man in the jail.let him die on his own.

The Federal constitution trumps all laws in Nigeria.  Nobody has the right to kill this man.  If the government abdicates their responsibility, the public has the right to dethrone the government for not standing up for the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.

Who can in the first instance love four wives equally?
The gentle Mallam Bello should be allowed to live his life as he does. The constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria allows him to marry as many wives as he so wishes. As long as he never forced any of the wives into matrimony, he can go ahead and even marry more. However, let us remember his cavet: do not follow my example and marry 86 wives.

If the Federal Republic of Nigeria constitution allows a man to marry as many wives as he wants, then why are they killing him?

Which law trumps the other?  Sharia law or constitutional law?

Hell hath no wrath than a woman scorned.
If he does not love her and does not want to settle down with her, he should nicely say no and explain that to her truthfully.

Couples must first take an HIV test before they will be allowed to marry, the Anglican Church in Nigeria says.

The church says the move is to help parishioners make "informed choices" when choosing marriage partners.

The BBC News website learnt that many Christian churches in Nigeria impose similar tests on their members as a condition for marriage.

The policy is being implemented in all Anglican dioceses across Nigeria, the church's spokesman said.

'Unacceptable'

"The aim is to help intending couples to make informed decisions because we don't want anyone to be kept in the dark about their partner," spokesman for the church Rev Akintunde Popoola told the BBC News website.

If they find out their status and still want to go ahead, we cannot object. Instead, we offer them care and support
Rev Akintunde Popoola

He said the church will not stop people from getting married if they test positive to HIV, the virus that causes Aids.

"The whole point is for couples to know their HIV status before getting married," he said.

"If they find out their status and still want to go ahead, we cannot object. Instead, we offer them care and support."

But the authorities are already challenging the new policy by the church, saying it is unacceptable.

"We cannot accept what the church is proposing. Every Nigerian must be allowed to decide on their own whether they want to be tested or not," Prof Tunde Oshotimehin, who heads Nigeria's state HIV control agency, told the BBC.

"HIV testing and counselling must be voluntary. What the church is trying to do will encourage denial."

Graduate tests

The Catholic Church in Nigeria says it is not imposing such a policy on its members because it wants HIV testing to be voluntary and personal.

"We know that some people do it, but we are not making it church policy," spokesman of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja Rev Fr Ralph Madu told the BBC News website.

Recently, a church-owned college - Covenant University, Nigeria - announced that its graduates should take HIV and pregnancy tests as conditions for graduation.

But the university suspended the policy after widespread condemnation and criticisms from government agencies and rights groups.

Nigeria is a deeply religious country with her 140 million people almost evenly divided between Christians and Muslims.

According to Nigeria's National Agency for the Control of AIDS (Naca), some 4.4% of Nigerians live with HIV.

HIV/AIDS test is a very good idea.
The test should be free to all citizens of Nigeria.
It should be confidential.
Condoms should be handed out freely.
Free Sex education and prevention should be thought from secondary school to university students.
This is not a time to prevent, but a time to keep Nigerians safe.
We want to be proud and say that we have the knowledge on how to keep AIDS/HIV out of Nigeria and we bind together as citizens to stamp that disease out of Nigeria.
One Nigerian infected is one too many.
It is through testing and prevention education that we can achieve that.

she s my boss four years older and a member of the NASS of the federal republic of nigeria. she is single though but i have been working for her for years and each tme she has always insisted on having an affair with me orr possble secret marriage. much as i tried to avoid her but she has made every possble move to be close mto me even coming to my house one  late evening recently. she tells me everything about herself and i keep wandering what kind of person she is.

i love my job and i do not wissh to lose it now because of her. she never threatened it though but i have been reading between the lines.

guys what do you advise.

Your story is very confusing.  She tells you everything about her, but yet you keep wondering what kind of person she is.

You have worked her for many years and you still do not know her.  You claim that she has asked you to have an affair with her and she has also asked for a secret marriage.

You state that she is four years older than you.  It should not make any difference where age is concerned.  She is not that much older.  She has not reached the cougar stage.

You state that she came to your house one late evening, but nothing happened between you and her.

Possibilities:
She is lonely.
She is in love with you.
She may be harassing you segxwally and because she is a person in authority, you may be scared of losing your job.  If this is the case truthfully, then report her to persons higher than her.

If you like her, have a good conversation with her and find out what type of relationship that you wish to have with her, and then both of you will come to a mutual agreement.

Your boss deserves to have somebody in her life.  It is time that you become honest and let her know if you are genuinely interested.

There are lots of men that wish to be in your shoes.

Remain blessed.
