Good evening everybody!  Like 97% of Nigerians, my Nigerian friend has no health insurance and needs immediate funds for emergency medical treatment.  Please give to his Go Fund Me page below.  Thank you!

2  Forum / FunnyHub (Jokes + Comedy) / Re: CBN Ban Local Money Transfer Agents, Allows Only Western Union, CBN and RIA on: 15-08-2023 05:23 AM
I have submitted a complaint to the US Better Business Bureau regarding the very poor service they gave me today.  I also posted a very bad review of them on the BBB site.  The complaint is below.

I have spent literally hours trying to send money to my friend in Nigeria.  All I needed to do was add his new bank account to your system or add his cousin as a receiver and use his bank account.  Your system gave no instructions on how to do this and clicking on add a new receiver did not work and clicking on my friend's account details in order to change them also did not work.  So I called your customer service and they literally hung up on me 3 times after making me wait over 10 minutes to talk to a live person.  I finally went to a Western Union office in person and they informed me my friend's bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, was not in your system even though it is a large Nigerian bank listed on the Nigerian stock exchange.  My friend picking up in person was the only option, a great inconvenience in an area with poor bus service.  Also, I was required to pay using a debit card even though NO OTHER ONLINE RETAILER HAS EVER REQUIRED ME TO DO THIS.  I HAVE ALWAYS USED MY CREDIT CARD.  I think this whole incident is related to racist attitudes toward Africans.  Bet people on other continents are not treated this way.  Also, you force people to send money to Nigeria using the US dollar instead of letting them receive money in their local currency.

Dear Naijapals-

I think the people of the world need to know that two candidates for U.S. president, Michele Bauchman and Rick Perry,
are members of a Christian sect whose leader believes slavery is o.k.  See the article below.

This the 21st century, man.  Arranged marriages are so 18th century.  They are not even legal in the U.S. state I live in and can be immediately dissolved if challenged.

The parents are the selfish ones trying to force very outdated ways on her.

In view of the perfect storm between severe overpopulation and Peak Oil, family planning efforts need to be very greatly enhanced.   See the analysis below.

http://www.paulchefurka.ca/Population.html

This analysis shows the unfortunate collision of massive population growth with the start of Peak Oil.  The projection is that billions of people will die as the world runs out of oil until a sustainable population of 1 billion is reached after all the oil has run out.
All this will happen in the next 75 years with the highest number of deaths occurring in only 20 years.
Solutions?  Everyone on the planet needs to have just one child in the next generation and massive amounts of research and development funds need to be spent on energy replacements for both oil and natural gas.  To reduce energy expenditures on transportation, more goods need to be produced and consumed locally.   Any additional ideas?

Yes, that is exactly what I am saying.  The earth can no longer support the people on it.  We are using resources at least 40 percent faster that the earth can produce them.  And we will be out of oil in 30 to 50 years.

My father is 88 years old.  When he was born, the earth had only 2.2 billion people.  Now we have 7 billion.

Visit the Website for Population Connection for further information and what you can do about overpopulation.

The world is very dangerously overpopulated.  The bulk of environmental scientists say the planet can hold only 3 billion people, yet we have over 7 billion now.  The environmental systems of this planet are rapidly collapsing.  50 years ago, Africa had 500,000 lions.  Now there is only 20,000.  We have severe global warming, hardly any trees left and a plastic waste cesspool in the ocean one fourth the size of the United States.

Pre-Christian tribal traditions held that humans should not breed beyond the capactiy of the earth to support the population comfortably.  I bet early Christianity had the same belief but the Pope axed the teaching to produce more Catholics and make himself more powerful.

Come on people!  If your husband can not have children, just adopt.  Seems he is a much better catch then some idiot who wants to have more than two children in this dangerously overcrowded.

A research report done ten years ago in the U.S. asked people how happy thery were.  The results were as follows:

1. Married men were the most happy  2. Single women were the second happiest  3.  Married women were next to the bottom in happiness 4.  Single men were the least happy.

So, tell your Mom, marriage makes women less happy but men more happy.   It is no wonder.  US men expect the wife to work fulltime and take care of the house and kids while they just come home and read the paper.  If they want the income of a working wife, men can get off their butts and do some child care and housework.
14  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: Does a woman have to take her husband's last name? on: 20-03-2011 03:09 AM
In the United States, I believe only one state, Louisiana, requires you to take your husband's name.  In the other 49, you can keep your maiden name if you wish.

I kept mine for business purporses.
