There are only two good thing I can say about this situation. He saved the tax payers some money by not wasting time on useless court proceedings.  He also saved his parents some heartache and shame by not having to read the report of their sons trial in the newspaper everyday. 

This shows the world that these terrorist will use anyone to carry out their evil missions. I don't know if it is the result of brainwashing but it is clear that this boy who is naturally intelligent, still has a few loose screws somewhere.  Knowing this still sent him on a terrorist mission anyway.
