141  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: A Sweet Crush!!! on: 26-04-2011 06:52 PM
A crush lasts till consummation. Depending on how long it takes one to get closer, accepted, get intimate, or becoming friends with the person.

For example, if you have a crush on a girl, either because she is pretty, has big butt, in short, she is sexy, after going out with her for some time you no longer have a crush. you now have a feeling for her ( same for men). If you continue to date the person, crush makes way for love. Crush has no specific time frame; it could last many years till one achieves the aim for which he/she has the dream/interest/lust called crush. Without the ultimate actualization of the desire, crush could linger or live a life time.

I pick Sophiebaby. Then what I will do with her, I will lick out all her silliness and sarcastic personality and make them mine. All the pretty smile she got, I'll suck them dry and make her moan for hours and hours.

babebose: Was that a typo or you needed time to proof read your statement? Please look over your quote below, otherwise
one would assume you approve of the atrocity and at the same time denounce the act.

"Mothers do not have sex without their sons". It is taboo everywhere in the world.
145  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: Can You Marry Someone Who Is HIV Positive? (Page 2) on: 24-04-2011 05:11 PM
No, I can only show the person some love.  If we were already married before he contracted it from somewhere without passing it on to me; I could stay married to the person with restricted personal/bodily fluid exchange - no sex of any kind (ffoouurrcckkiinngg, kkiissiinngg, eeaattiinngg, ssuucckkiinngg or lliicckkiinngg).
146  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: can u have sex with ur bf without a cd on: 24-04-2011 01:53 PM
If two of you love each other, trust one another, live together and plan to spend your lives together; then after the first HIV, STD, TB etc tests, I don't see anything wrong with having sex without cd. Any partner that insists on using cd, unless for the sake of birth control, after all these tests shows he/she has something to hide or the relation is not worth it.

147  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: Igbo Parents And Traditional Rites Of Their First Daughter? on: 24-04-2011 01:34 PM
Poor NP forum. We are now saddled with this unorganized and self-deceit request. It is all about love and you seem to be lacking in it for the Igbo girl.

Igbo people are the most versatile people in Nigeria. In addition, Igbo women are the most compromising women in the country. I am not sure how old the Poster/Author is and how far he has traveled the country. One thing is certain here, he has not made up his mind as to who to love. He has already thrown in the towel before the fight began. In addition, he has organized a spare woman in case the in-laws to-be reject him. How wonderful. Men, he is not ready for marriage, and for the fear he has, truth be told, is that he may be a Muslim and his parents would not allow him marry a Christian. The reverse-psychology he trying to adopt is haunting his ego and his thinking peripheries.

In my extended family back home, Orlu, Imo State, Nigeria, two Middle Belt women have been married to the family over 30 yrs. They speak Igbo, belong to all the groups and enjoy all the cultural things with other women. Igbo people are not stuck-ups like other people in Nigeria period.

Smart Sophiebaby; I knew there was something about you so interesting. You are really a love doctor. Express yourself! Please send me a copy of your book to spice up my friend's love life. Good sense of humor, and I hope you are not like one of those preachers that ask their audience to follow their words not their actions. I mean be sure to practice what you preach - a genre by Barry White.  If you are not yet a love doctor, a social worker, no doubt a psychologist and physiologist, you need to obtain a certificate in those areas so you could counsel and turn women out especially those who have given up on sex life following childbearing and diminishing interest.
149  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: IS SMOKING ATTRACTIVE? (Page 5) on: 24-04-2011 11:47 AM
Yuck! Dirty habit; smelly clothes, smelly cars and smelly houses. Burnt furniture, burnt bedspreads and ashes dumped everywhere. Sour lips and rotten/decay teeth. None of these sounds attractive to me and they are all attributes of smoking - cigarette, black and mild, MJ or wise leaf.

I have never been a smoker, my father made it a rule not to support any of his 12 children's education if found smoking. So his (my father's) strict rule stock with me till today: I do not eat out unless the restaurant has no smoking area, do not date a lady who smokes, does not allow smoking in my car nor in my house no matter how much I love the person (a smoker). I was over excited when Michigan introduced the smoking ban on bars and all public places, now I can go clubbing without inhaling contaminated air exhaled from dirty mouths of smokers. Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!

This is a good idea; however, mending of the wounds should start with separation of church/musk/religion from government, and compulsory teaching of the three main ethnic languages in our schools. No one religion should have any influence on the government, that way people would concentrate on the work they are elected to do instead of forcing their faith down the throats of the people.

What a shame! If this story becomes true, that country should be divided immediately! After all, the togetherness with Hausa people was a mistake by colonists supported by myopic leadership philosophy. Definitely, the union is not working out fine with the northners, Yorubas nor the Igbos. Every ethnic group now feels suffocated in the country. How much shall the people endure before the right thing is done?

I agree with philworld: pls mr president send a circular that universities should stop posting our corppers to the North those people are something else.

The NYSC commission should stop posting corpers to the north till further notice - or indefinitely until the northerner learn to respect humanity. How would anybody explain this to the parents of the killed corpers? The children they (parents) borrowed money, sold pieces of land and belongings to pay for their education. My suggestion is to freeze the money accounts of ex-government leaders, both at home and abroad - with the help of International Human Rights Organizations, and use the proceed to pay to each killed Youth Corper the sum of 5,000,000 (five million naira) as compensation.

I am a Christian by birth, by association and by willful union! Most of us are Christians, but before the advent of Christianity, Africans had culture and beliefs. Until tomorrow, most of our parents are still loyal to our cultural norms including herbal medicines. Look at the African History and the coming of Europeans, American History and Slavery. The same people who brought Christianity to us enslaved our brothers and sisters.

To those who think using the anti-witch hunt remedy was idolatry or practice of wizardry, please ask yourself if you have ever taken any herbal medicine/remedy since you were born. If you are a Catholic by religion, also ask yourself why the Reverend Fathers, Bishops and even Pope burn incense in the church, are they practicing idolatry or wizardry? I see double standard in the eyes of many:

donuche: I do not agree with you. First, your viewpoint shows you believe there is something called witchcraft. What you failed to admit is that those powers are of the Satan not God. Yes God has the ultimate power above other powers, but the same God gave use the wisdom to develop means and methods to sustain our lives on earth. Such as making medicines to cure sicknesses, cars to get us from point A to point B, swimming pools to cool us down when we are hot etc. The Antidote of witchcraft I mentioned is not different from the prescription given to a sick person by a medical doctor. Oh, I forgot, the same slave masters have indoctrinated most of us to believe that African medicines are evil practices. Sorry, count me out of those foreign dominion, betrayal and relegation of our own culture.

Anyway, let us do our cultivation in the farmyard of whose we have visited.  By this I mean the issue at hand now is the injustice the women meted out to their own mother.  I support the condemnation of the atrocity, and I hope the law would take its course. Amen.

Linkup2006, it is true the government of Nigeria is made up of Nigerians, but in this case, according to the author, "Nigerians are the architects of their own misfortune" is a generalization and I think it is wrong. It would have been more specific and more understandable if the assertion was directed to the few who have usurped opportunities and trust bestowed on them to get into office only to sacrifice the whole nation's economic wellbeing.  We should blame the situation on Nigeria govt. not the general public. What shall we say of the Nigerian graduates who cannot find work, some resorting to prostitution and other crimes? Shall we rightly and honestly blame them for trying to survive by whatever means?  The country that made $59Billion in 2010 (Bloomberg report: Elisha Baba-Gbogbo. April 14, 2011) or see below -

"Nigeria’s Oil Revenue Rose 46% to $59 Billion in 2010 on Improved Security.
Nigeria’s oil exports rose 46 percent to 9.15 trillion naira ($59 billion) last year as prices increased and companies raised output on improved security in the Niger River delta, the National Bureau of Statistics said"

So my bros and sisters, Nigerian are among the most hardworking people on earth. Evidence, look at most of the profiles on this website, there’s not a country in this world you would not find Nigerians. I am therefore of the opinion that Nigerians are not lazy as some people claim.  The naija populace only need some motivation and support from the government to harness their God-given talents.

The precarious crisis in the North calls for an unbridled question to our ex-head of state, Mohammadu Buhari: did you cry for Nigeria's economic dilemma or out of euphoria of possible presidential elections win for the northerners? Buhari should not stand on the fence while the country he pretends/claims to love so much suffers the chaos caused by his supporters. He should show us why he cried and concede to GEJ without further delays.

In as much as we commiserate with the woman killed out of ignorance, we should be leery not to align the misfortune with the deplorable socio-economic situations in the country.  As the saying goes from a biblical verse, “those who are well have not need of the physician”.  We could stand or even sit here to portion blame for the misfortune of our people as one writer quoted: “Nigerians are the architects of their own misfortune”, but knowing what we all know today that Nigerian Government has failed the people for over 50 yrs.  Can anyone sincerely assert Nigerians are the architects of their misfortune? Please refrain from such callous statements. The condemnation we ought to concern ourselves with is somebody/people who had the gut to kill his or her own mother.  Personally, I think that is bad and sad!

I had a very sad experience with witchcraft at Efurun, Warri in 1998. I was raised at the Ikpan Police Barrack, Efurun in Warri. Every night, this one little black mouse would climb my bed to bite my toes. When I woke up, I would have sore on three toes, and this repeated on the same toes for a whole week. On two occasions, I chased the mouse to a particular hut where there lived one old woman. According to sources, the woman had lived there without any family member before the city decided to build a police barrack next to her hut. One night, I nearly killed the mouse with machete but missed by half inch as it ran into her safe heaven - the old woman’s hut.  Only God knows how I felt about being attacked by an old woman I saw and greeted once a while. The attack stopped thanks to another Edo woman, a police officer’s wife,  who gave me the antidote of witch hunting: special type of cocoa yam, ukasi leaf (Gnetum Africanum), yellow palm nut and a pin tied and hung on the entrances of my bedroom. Such activities have negative impact on the people affected. That said, no one suppose to take laws in his/her hands. Then again, one cannot substantiate the claim of witch hunting to the authorities; the whole thing then becomes the case of inundation of he-said she-said scenario.

157  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: Naked Spinsters in Nigerian church (Page 7) on: 20-04-2011 02:02 PM
By the way, the story is absolutely unfounded and fictitious. Two versions of the story have surfaced here. One says in Onitsha the other says in Abia state. Then again, it gives us something to talk about on this website.  Should there be some elements of truth in the story, the poster/author could only legitimize it by referring the public to sources of information (supporting data).
158  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: Naked Spinsters in Nigerian church on: 20-04-2011 01:42 PM
Sophiebaby: "Na wa make I go look". Are you sure you would like to see? For me you are too fine to fantasize about other ladies' nakedness; unless that's a bi-curious desire. No, save your eyes and save your beautiful looks for the good men I saw in the dream knocking on your doors - just choose the right one (smile).
159  Forum / Family / Re: 25 Years Old Man Impregnates His Mother (Page 4) on: 19-04-2011 07:58 PM
Good fictions often sound real. The poster has allowed the public to ponder over such heinous sins. Peradventure, we should rather commiserate with the young college student, because he is done for good. In real life, such atrocity would mar the boy from becoming a real man. Secondly, he could go mental; and by our (Nigerian) culture, both of them would sure attract the wraths and condemnations of the land/people.

For those of us who imbibe in or overindulge in substances abuse, alcohols, weed, methamphetamines, etc, know ye well that such habit could lead to vulnerability and or unimaginable circumstances.

This website is fake, is the person holding the ball a footballer? Nigeria people now want to act capitalist like western people. Well, if they could not make it playing football, most definitely they will not make it trying to charge Nigerians fees to watch Nigerian TV/News. Mr. Opportunists "you cannot carry gold to gold castle" - as always educated by the proverb of yester-years. Nigerians are smarter than your cheap lures.  I hope nobody falls for the trap.
