Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Abuja court sentences police pension boss to 2yrs in prison for embezzling N23bn |
on: 29-01-2013 10:46 AM
| If President Jonathan, the Judiciary and the National Assembly should allow this condemnable and despicable judgment to stand, we would have made our nation the laughing stock in the comity of nations. And it will tell the world our seriousness and commitment to fight corruption.
It is rather unfortunate that these bastards are allowed to slap us and still deride us openly for it. How can one conceive this type of judgment knowing full well that some old men and women have lost their lives waiting to be paid their benefits which ended up in the personal confines of these gluttons and someone who calls himself a judge of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will set the thief "free of charge"? Is this not enough a reason one should have confidence more in the Judiciary of UK and other Western nations than that of Nigeria? Who will blame Access Bank for instituting two legal procedures one in Nigeria and another in Britain against Capital Oil if the likes of Justices T. Mohammed and M. Awokulehin (of Ibori saga) are allowed to still sit in the temple of justice in Nigeria. How can Barak/Hillary or Amanpour take President Jonathan serious when he goes out there to tell them he is serious in fighting corruption in Nigeria? How will crime not increase when those saddled with the dispensation of justice make a mockery of justice process and allow these crooked ones in our midst?

Forum / Politics / Re: Tambuwal Begs Obasanjo Over Farouk Lawan Bribery Scandal |
on: 14-06-2012 07:54 AM
| If na Obasanjo be the man to save Lawan Farouk, then Mr. Integrity must be in deep shit. U ask me why? Well, Lawan it was who disgraced Madam Ette (u remember Obasanjo's babe) in the House years back.
Remember also say Otedola donated 250 million naira to the Library project and has since then become one of Obasanjo's boys. Now Lawan wanted to mess him up also as he did to Ette? No forget say Baba no dey forget; he no dey forgive. Now you can see how complicated Lawan's case for survival is in the hands of Baba!
But on a more serious note; when are we going to get out of this doldrums? For how log shall Nigeria continue to be the Chess Board of these corrupt elements whose main intention is to milk the nation dry no matter what we feel or say? | | |

| This is Splendid! I wish them a Happy Married Life. Funke, having taken this guy to Church, I pray you will succed in keeping him there and for Kehinde, having succeded in pinning down Funke you must know that you have got a sellable brandname added to yours. that means victory at the polls next time around. But you must reconsider the camp to which you belong! If you intend to win in Lagos, move to the winning side where Action is. Else the Jagabaan machinery may floor the two of you! Lagos want Action and Progress Certainly not Power for the sake of Power! Abo Oro! | | |

Forum / Religion / Re: Are Nigerian Christian Universities For Children Of The Elites? |
on: 23-05-2012 01:21 PM
| It is just unfortunate that we live a nation where things do not go straight at all. If not, why would the government at levels abandon their responsibilities to provide qualitative education to the citizens and allow some individuals feed fat on us? Look at ti from Nursery/Primary to Secondary and then to University - all Government Institutions are now a shadow of what they should be hence the private initiatives who try to cash in on the gap created by the neglect of our "so called leaders" It is however more worrisome when Churches will levy their members in whatever form and use such levies to build a school only to price the children of most of the donors out of such institutions. Someone just mentioned that they use their personal money. Personal what? Then EFCC or better still Private Investigators should be invited to unearth the sources of their wealth. At least we kn how of someone who was said to be bankrupt before May 1999 and yet by 2007 had become a proud owner of a University and he was working for government all the period. The question is, what was the total emolument all the period to have yielded so much to set up a university? The more you look the less you see! One day one day; "It will please the Lord to return us from this captivity", it shall be like a dream to us. Very soon God will wipe away the Corrupt elements among us - Nigeria shall be Great Again! | | |

| The only reason I am concerned is the claim that they have been dating for close to a year now. If that is true why then will she cry out late last year that we should pray for her to get a husband? Come to think of it, is it because no other person comes that she is now settling down with what is available? A case of half loaf being better than none? Marriage is an individual thing if she feels OK with it let her go ahead. But she should remember not to break the hearts of those who admire her in the industry and always wish for her to have a settled home oh! | | |

on: 18-04-2012 07:55 AM
| Shame to Nigeria's failed Legal System that cannot identify an Onanefe Ibori as a criminal; Shame to a corrupt security system that makes criminals "lords" in our nation Shame to an Anti Corruption Agency that is seen to make straightforward prosecution tardy; Shame to those Lawyers (Liars) in Nigeria who through questions and frivolous injunctions prevent a few incorruptible judges in the land from doing their utmost best to sanitise the system; Double Shame to an Awoku... who would bend to let a criminal go free. Victory for Nigeria. God will fight for us. Nigeria shall be Free Again from the wolves in sheep clothing who parade themselves as servants of the people! | | |

Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: fuel subsidy removal are you for it or against it |
on: 28-12-2011 03:54 PM
| If it is inevitable that the Federal Government of Nigeria must remove fuel subsidy, they must first and foremost lead by example. Let them reduce the number of cars in their convoys such that the President wont have more than six cars and Governors three. Let them abolish the office of First Lady of the Nation and that of the states and any programmes the wives want to embark upon should be from their individual purses not from the state covers. Let the President sponsor a bill as a matter of urgency in the National Assemble that will change the current constitutional provision of one minister from each state of the federation to at just between two or three ministers form each of the geopolitical zones of the nation to be followed by a restructuring of the ministerial posts such that for example, Youth, Sports and Tourism can be one ministry; Transport and Aviation one Ministry, Works and Housing one ministry etc because in actual facts, it is the civil service that does the job not the Ministeers. The Ministers are just in office mostly as a compensation for roles played during electioneering or as a compensation for an old boy or old girl (whatever that means). What do we see after a FEC Meeting? Individuals who are merely satisfied with the photo-shots that will come after the meeting (not the contributions they made or value added). no. just let my townspeople/old school mates see their own in national dailies as one of the "choppers" of our collective wealth. Let there be a sincere and thorough investigation of the Petroleum Ministry and her agencies from 1999 to date and bring all culprits who may be indicted to justice. This is imperative considering how much we are told has been sunk into "Turn-Around Maintenance" and yet we import close to 80% of our fuel consumption in the nation. If Government can do all of these between January and September, then they can go ahead and remove the subsidy by the last quarter of 2012. thanks. Adeola Festus | | |

| I appeal to the Federal Government of Nigeria to step into the case of Nancy and all other children affected by this dastardly act of mindless misguided individual. The Government should as a priority "adopt" them and give them the best education that Nigeria can afford so that these young ones will not hate Nigeria and her people for life. | | | |
