The report of re-arrest of Kabiru Sokoto (Umar) as early released is a calculated attempt by the Police to deceive Nigerians and ensure that the Inspector General who have been briefed about his exit from the Police force will have second life.

Their plans to bring in a fake 'Kabiru Sokoto' was aborted by the special police that arrested him, who have released the real pictures of the bomber.

The PRO of the Nigerian Police Force, Mr. Sola Amore's news briefing an hour later was the twist, the police used to save face, as it is impossible to bring a fake suspect to Nigerians.

Kabiru Umar Sokoto is NOT re-arrested, his picture has been posted everywhere, so there will be no foul play by the police collaborators that 'released' him in Abaji.

In a related development, the Inspector General (IG) of Police Hafiz Ringim, "has not appeared near his office since Wednesday as his office at the Force Headquarters was reportedly cordoned off and searched, indicating the seriousness the presidency is attaching to the suspect’s escape".
Two option are available for the replacement of the IG from the Presidency.

**To be replaced by 2 DIGs, DIG Ivy Okoronkwo, and DIG John Udah.

**Retiring all the DIG while appointing the new IG from the ranks of the Assistant Inspectors General of Police, as the Presidency have lost faith in the entire Police
5  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: [Photo Gallery] Lagosians Protest Against The Presence Of Soldiers In Lagos on: 20-01-2012 05:01 PM
Who is deceiving who.
The Nigerian Army today exposed the double faced Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola, over his involvement in the deployment of military men on Lagos streets.

Army spokesperson, Col. Mohammed Yerim in a statement he read to journalists at a press conference in Abuja yesterday, said that troop was requested and sponsored by the Lagos state government to restore order.

Col Yerima said that "While the Defence Headquarters do not wish to join issues with any individual or groups regarding the matter, we wish to state categorically, in the interest of the larger society, that there is no element of truth in those claims".

He went further to clarify that "the soldiers seen on the streets of Lagos are still the same men of the special task force code named Operation MESSA set up and sponsored by the Lagos State government long before the fuel subsidy protests, for the purpose of supporting the civil police in protecting lives and property as is the case in many parts of the country".

"The men of the task force who are currently in Lagos have been there and were not brought from outside Lagos. They are members of the Lagos State Government sponsored Operation MESA and the demand for their withdrawal is therefore uncalled for".

There have been demonstration in Lagos after the NLC suspended the fuel subsidy removal protests over the deployment of troops in Lagos. The executive Governor of Lagos state, his party officials, 'Save Nigeria leader, Tunde Bakare and some civil right groups were involved in condemning the Federal government about the presence of these soldiers.
