Actually, the most accurate term for the bibical 'witches' would be medium, or one who speaks with the dead.

It's a specific term for a specific activity.
King Saul consulted one.

From the OP
Quote
"The imbalance is so stark because the state still depends on oil for more than 80 per cent of its revenues," said Sanusi.

Is this true?
More than 80%?

There is a popular saying that if you want to understand a Bible verse, read the whole chapter, and I think the same rule applies to the Qur'an.

Maybe we all should get an English version of the Holy Qur'an and read, then we'll understand God never asked any Muslim to kill Christians.

You may choose not to believe me, but don't believe this finely made-up article.

Made-up indeed, and not so finely!

There is a time and place for everything.
Esther 5

1Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, over against the king's house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house.

2And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.

3Then said the king unto her, What wilt thou, queen Esther? and what is thy request? it shall be even given thee to the half of the kingdom.

I quite agree with the OP.
An evil scam.
They  accuse small children.

And justify it with misquoting the Elijah incident in the OT.
Shame!

Luke 10: 37
That should be graven on that Helen Ukpabio's forehead as a reminder of Jesus' words.

I live in a country which has suffered violent terrorism.
I'm very sorry to see this happening in Nigeria.
I beg Nigerians to look beyond the proclamations of motives.
Terrorists are terrorists everywhere.
They are vicious unprincipaled killers.
They are sociopaths who will try to justify their crimes by spouting slogans about religion, patriotism, historical precedents and similar.

None of their 'ideals' are anything but a cynical cover-up for bloodlust.

I could respect a MOG who preaches peace and calls for understandng and unity in the face of terrorism.
For anyone who is familiar with ETA or IA, BH simply follows the pattern of mad dogs killing in the name of...
whatever.
These are not men of faith.
They are professional terrorist before anything else.

A MOG who curses?
Worthy of derision and ridicule.

Once again, using Paul's opinions as though they were an accurate reflection of God's Will.
Surely Christians have moved on from this POV?

76  Forum / Religion / Re: Family Of RCCG Founder Accuses Pastor Adeboye Of Changing Church Principles on: 7-02-2012 09:17 PM
Is this a normal practice in Nigeria?
"In 2007 a house of representaives inquiry into abuse of import duty waivers alleged the that former president Olusegun Obasanjo issued  some N20 billion worth of import waivers to the  Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, and its  pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye. Most of the waivers were reportedly used in importing luxurious cars into Nigeria."

I refer to the giving of import duty waivers.
How can any president have the power to do that?
Surely imports are not under the executive branch's control?

I think it's important to know if Nigeria is just a stooping place on the drugs' route or a producer.

I'm very sorry for the family of the murdererd man.
IRA and ETA did similar things in their day. I've often wondered if BH had IRA and/or ETA connections.
