lol...Calgary is cold quit alright, but due to the Chinook wind, its not that cold. I lived in Toronto for years and in comparison, I prefer Calgary to Toronto. The pay here in Calgary is awesome and the tax in terms of purchasing things is just 5%. There are lots of opportunities here especially in the engineering, oil and gas, health and social services sector. $70,000/ yr is not bad right? lol.... I work in the social services sector and i like it. The more experience with education you have, the higher your pay. Trust me, Toronto, wont give me a pay like that a year for social services. If my supposed country Nigeria, was and is good, why the hell would i have left  for Canada to do all my schooling from high school to university as an international student. instead of people here to think forward, they are here making all sorts of  negative and offensive comments against one another. UNITED WE STAND AND DIVIDED WE FALL; which Nigeria is already falling face flat.

You all need to understand that the ppl who make these offensive comments are all seeking attention. Its quit unfortunate how tribalism is eating up Nigeria. This tribe thinks they are better than each other when they should be accommodating and seeking the way forward. Personally, i don't have an issue with any tribe. you can insult or threaten me if you wish or you can take the plane to Calgary  airport and have lunch with me @ 17 Ave SW Calgary, AB, Canada. There are nice hang out places here, the coolest place in Calgary

 I keep wondering where the Tithes we pay in churches go. When you see these pastors, they are richer than their congregations and barely help out in the society. In western world, the pastors are rich no doubt, but, the whole money does not go to them, because, they have and must pay the pastors and other church workers such as  accountant, HR, e. t. c. In the nigeria, they dont pay the church workers... its just a puzzle that needs to be fixed somehow. As you all know, there are so mny churches in nigeria; because people now use church as businesses.

you are so right! That amount is ridiculous for a school and Degree that would never be recognized in western countries. I paid slightly over that amount for a year at university here in Canada. Why the hell would parents choose to waste that sum of money to educate their kids in that God forsaken country? The most frustrating thing is that, if these individuals decide to come over here(Canada), trust me, they would have to go back to school and get Canadian certificate, diploma or degree or something worth recognizable . Employers here in Canada hardly employ individuals with international degrees. Crazy crazy!!!

Good idea! Canada would have been better due to the current situation in the states. Anyways, its hard to get Canadian visa... all the same, the states is not bad for a start.
