The Gadhafi regime is seen as being on the ropes, though Gadhafi loyalists, according to Reuters, have sufficient strength in numbers to launch a counterinsurgency. A spokesman for the Gadhafi government recently said that up to 6,000 volunteers were willing to fight to re-assert control of the Gadhafi regime, according to The Guardian.
