African parents esp. In U.S that dont teach their kids their native tongue. And we all know the children of today is the adults of tomorrow. If you dont teach your child the native tongue, Our languages will start to go extinct.
I 'm in U.S and I see African kids, esp Nigerian kids that cant "speak" it but they understand when they "hear" it. Or they only know how to say a few words like "hello."   Most African parents have adpated to speaking english to their kids since theyre surrounded my english speaking ppl.
I came to U.S when I was two and I can still speak my native language better than my older brothers.  
 

Miss Angola Leila Lopes was crowned Miss Universe 2011 just a week ago, but already her reign is in jeopardy.

The Miss Universe Organization is investigating claims that Lopes falsified documents during the Miss Angola UK pageant earlier this year. The English competition, which she won, helped Lopes reach the Miss Universe pageant in Brazil this month. Argentine newspaper Infobae alleged that Lopes, with help from a man named Charles Mukano, participated in the Miss Angola UK pageant despite the fact that she lived in Angola, and not the United Kingdom, which is a violation of the rules. Mukano is also said to have helped Lopes obtain documents claiming she was a business management student at an English university. The report goes as far as to say that Lopes might have bribed British judges to ensure a win.


Lopes could be disqualified if the allegations prove to be true. Although not as shadowy or opprobrious as the linea regis of England, there have been a number of Miss Universe titleholders that met strange ends.

If Lopes does lose the title, it will be a great emotional cost to Angola. The African nation was immensely proud of its beauty queen, evoking respect of the country's top diplomats. “There is a great engagement of assuring an advance with regard of the development, progress and well-being of the Angolan people,” said Angola's Media Minister, Carolina Cerqueira. Cerqueira said that the Miss Universe prize showed the beauty and potential of all Angolans to overcome the obstacles in their lives.

The Angolan First Lady, Ana Paula dos Santos, was especially proud of Lopes. "Leila is really our queen and all Angolan women feel like Miss Universe as it is a very great honor for us to be there, with a competition with more than 80 girls and countries, with different habits, customs and religions, and they chose Angola, winning the crown of Miss Universe," said dos Santos.

PPL THINK THAT TO BE MISS WORLD OR MISS UNIVERSE YOU HAVE TO BE FAIR SKINED. TO GET THE TITLE. THATS PROB WHY SHE TRANSFORMED HER SKIN TONE TO LOOK LIKE AGBANI DAREGO'S WHO WON 2011 MISS WORLD. MISS UNIVERSE LEILA LOPES FROM ANGOLA IS A SHADE DARKER THAN HER BLEACHED SKIN AND SHE STILL WON THE TITLE. THERE HAS BEEN DARKSKINNED WOMEN IN THE PAST THAT WON MISS WORLD. ITS JUST THAT SHE HAS A SICK MENATALITY, AND LOW SELF-ESTEEM.
CRAZY STUFF LIFE THIS IS THE REASON WHY PPL STILL HAVE THE MENTALITY THAT LIGHTSKIN IS SUPERIOR THAN DARK SKIN. WHEN BOTH ARE BEAUTIFUL. AND IF DARK SKINNED PPL DONT EMBRACE IT (AND CONTINUE TO "BLEACH"), THEN THAT SAME MENTALITY WILL STILL LIVE IN OUR WORLD.

WELL I KNOW SOMEONE WHO USED TO BLEACH THEIR SKIN. AND I KNOW THAT IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN HER "BLEACHED SKIN" SHE HAS TO KEEP BLEACHING HER SKIN AND USING THE CREAMS.  BUT IF SHE STOPS USING THE BLEACHING CREAMS, HER NATURAL SKIN COLOR WILL START TO SHOW & COME BACK AGAIN.

I have an afro, but not that long. It mustve took her a decade or longer to grow her hair that long and big. Or she mustve been using hair growth pills to increase the speed of growth. Not tryna say she didnt get it naturally, but most ppl use hair growth pills, when they wanna grow their har long fast.
