English Premier League club Arsenal will travel to Nigeria for a pre-season match in Abuja on 5 August.

According to the organisers, DanJan Sports, Arsenal's opposition are likely to be a leading African national team.

It will be the first time the Gunners have played in Nigeria.

"We are working on the opposition and once that is finalised we will announce it to the public in conjunction with the London club," David Omigie of DanJan Sports said.

"Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa, and the club with arguably the biggest fan base in the country is visiting in August.

On their official website Arsenal said: "The club last visited Africa during a tour to South Africa in July 1993, and is returning as a result of the fantastic support which exists for the team, not only in Nigeria, but across the entire continent."

The club traditionally hosts an annual pre-season tournament at the Emirates Stadium, but they opted to postpone the event for a year because of the 2012 London Olympics.

The visit to Nigeria will conclude Arsenal's pre-season tour after playing in both China and Malaysia in July.

In July 2008, DanJan Sports brought two other English clubs, Manchester United and Portsmouth, to the Nigerian capital Abuja for a pre-season friendly.

As well as the match between the two, Portsmouth also played against Nigeria Premier League side Kano Pillars.

But DanJan Sports plan to go a step further this time around.

"We learned a lot from the 2008 tour and this one is going to be bigger," Omigie told BBC Sport.

"Arsene Wenger wanted a detailed plan and information. Facilities and other areas were well covered by the club.

"This is the beginning of big things between the club and the continent of Africa."

The organisers are confident the stadium in Abuja will be able to host the game adding Arsenal are happy with the venue after recent visits.

This despite the Nigeria Football Federation saying Thursday that Abuja will not be hosting the Super Eagles' 2014 World Cup qualifier against Namibia on the opening weekend of June nor its 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier second leg against Rwanda a fortnight later.

According to speculation in the local media Ghana, Zambia, South Africa, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Egypt are all among the potential opponents for the Gunners.

BREAKING NEWS: Security operatives invite Ex-Governor, Ikedi Ohakim for questioning.

Information reaching IMO STATE BLOG confirms that the immediate past Governor, Chief Ikedi Ohakim has been invited for questioning by Security operatives in Abuja.



Chief Ohakim’s invitation is said to be in connection with a  broadcast SMS  message which speculated Governor Rochas Okorocha had been arrested in London in company of a business associate.

The text message read:

Imo gov, Rochas Okorocha who was quizzed over d weekend by d Met Police, London & his partner, Tony Chukwu who was detained has been released. Okorocha was released on self recognition while Chukwu was detained after a discovery of a total of 10million dollars in their room following a raid by d Met Police.Okorocha’s trip to London is believed to have been triggered by fear of d impending supreme court judgment against his election.Earlier Okorocha had been defrauded of 8m dollar by Terry Waya who had promised to help him reach the judges. Consequently, the incident forced Okorocha to miss his scheduled return yesterday to attend d funeral rite of d late Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu at Zungeru,Niger State.

 

Hours following the broadcast on Monday afternoon, security operatives  aided with satellite technology   traced the messages to Chief Ikedi Ohakim’s Mary Slessor St. residence in Asokoro, Abuja.

Before we get carried away with this shocking revelation, we must remember that  there is no smoke without fire. Was there  an arrest in London involving Governor Okorocha or are there agents of confusion who have been mandated to fuel propaganda ahead of the March 2nd Supreme Court judgement?

IMO STATE BLOG made contact with the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Okorocha on Media, Chinedu Offor. He informed our reporter that he was with the Governor in Abuja and dismissed the story behind the text message  as cheap blackmail.

Their wicked lies will fail just like their numerous evil plans. Imo must be better” He said.

Na wa o.   Imo must be better no doubt but,  are we to believe that Chief Ikedi Ohakim actually turned his house into a Telecommunications center and mobilized people to broadcast these fake messages? Could there have been an error in the satellite confirmations received by the Security operatives?

Ya wuru kwa  na the satellite mebiri emebi  and in error, landed the  nyokometer on the  Ohakim’s  residence.

Life story brothers, please advice one what to do.

i have a girlfriend, and we love each other very well, i can do anything for this gal, but am hiding something for this girl.
i lived in Germany for years, and this girl is living in Nigeria, she use to visit me in germany lke twice now.
I met her last Xmas and since then we both loved each other, Am a Keyboard Cowboy(yahoo) but i don't want her to know my job.
So i told her all lies to cover up my work, the good reason why am hiding this from her is because she hate yahoo guys both her mother also.

Few weeks ago, i was in nigeria to see her family for some introduction. it was nice meeting her family members.
but one funny thing again is that his father is a Yahoo guy( keyboard cowboy) also.... 

the man saw my appearance and decided to have a word with me alone, He asked me what am i doing in germany? i told him that am working in a company.
he replied me with this word, WHAT FORMAT ARE YOU PUSHING, Oh my God, i don't believe that.
he told me he once live in USA and France, He made money on his own also, and his living fine.( he told me not to tell my girl about this, because his own wife don't know the source of their money)
