Only God Can Judge This Issue And Everyone Is Also Entitled To His/Her Own Opinion. All I Would Say Is We Should Fight To Make Nigeria Better And Let God Handle This Church Issue Himself!

But I do find this article interesting tho :-

"Pastors With Private Jets An Embarrassment To Christianity", Says Bishop Kukah-The Nation - November 18, 2012 - By Sunday Oguntola

The acquisition of private jets by Christian leaders diminishes the moral voice of the church in the fight against corruption, the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Rev Matthew Kukah, declared yesterday.

He spoke against the backdrop of the presentation of a private jet to the National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, by members of his church during the celebration of his 40th anniversary in the ministry penultimate Saturday.

Kukah, who was guest speaker at the annual Founder’s Day Anniversary lecture of Providence Baptist Church in Lagos, described exhibition of such opulence by church leaders as embarrassing.

The fiery cleric who spoke on ‘Church and the state in the pursuit of the common good’, said: “The stories of corrupt men and women being given recognition by their churches or mosques as gallant sons and daughters and the embarrassing stories of pastors displaying conspicuous wealth as we hear from the purchases of private jets and so on clearly diminish our moral voice.”

Kukah, who was represented by the Administrator of Holy Cross Cathedral Lagos, Rev. Monsignor Pascal Nwaezeapu, also expressed displeasure with the perceived closeness of the CAN leadership to the corridors of powers.

He said such alliance will weaken the ability of the church to speak the truth to elected public office holders.

According to him: “CAN has become more visible in relation to national prayer sessions, pilgrimages, alliances with state power and so on.

“Unless we distance ourselves, we cannot speak the truth to power. We cannot hear the wails of the poor and the weak. We should not be seen as playing the praying wing of the party in power.”

He challenged the church to speak against corruption in low and high places, saying such responsibility must never be jettisoned for any reason.

Judge not so you would not be judged. You guys should leave these Pastors alone and be a critic of yourselves first. Come to think of it Poster, why are you not in the news for being a good leader showing a good example in Nigeria by feeding the hungry kid and making shelter for the homeless. Do your part and let God be the Judge of all. We all see what is happening but we can only talk about what we see on the outside, ain't it. Maybe this pastor might be a Generous pastor who don't like his good deeds on the news and on the other hand, maybe he is not. But we are not God. Let's just do our part and leave the rest for God(Especially Judging People).

@Papadip So u expect a young guy who is still on the Grind to start something for this country that already compete with Hell. If u tell me that this dude has been on it for 50years and counting, u expect me to start counting another 50yrs on a Journey that even someone as strong as Fela couldn't shake? Dude, I want to do something about it really bad(Ay, I even opened a group on FB and BBM cus of this matter), but when u decide to, that's when u see that the youths have no interest it in. So, if there's a big idea u can bring to the table right now that can Stimulate the movement, Dude, I'm down with u!

And it seem like all this Traditional rulers we have are just there to get paid to only tell the youth to fight for the wrong reasons. I SAY THEY SHOULD PUT A STOP TO TRADITIONAL RULERS IN NIGERIA!!! When that is done, that would be the beginning of progress in Nigeria and the vision of us being ONE and UNITED would start to Manifest. Abeg, make una nor dey publish wetin all this old men get to say again if them nor ready take action Joor!

And what is with the tribalism now guy... Just because you were brought up to think about other tribes as being bad doesn't mean you have to let it out in the open. People like you are the reason why Nigeria is still the way it is today. Try and get educated a little more than u r right now to know that tribe does not have anything to do with how people are and just know that IGNORANCE is a bad disease that you need to cure As Soon As Possible. NONSENSE!!!

Apparently, a girl has changed into a big snake at the Hotel Excel in Warri today. Half part Human and the other half a snake. And apparently the hotel is crowded at the moment with people who want to get a closer look at the creature. It is also said that officer of the Nigerian Military, SSS and the Police force are presently at the hotel right now to search for the unusual creature.

But I still don't know yet if this story is true. So if anyone has anymore information about this, kindly post a reply to this.

An American lawyer and a Nigerian are sitting next to each other on a long flight. The lawyer is thinking that Nigerians are so dumb that he could put something over on them easily...So the lawyer asks if the Nigerian would like to play a fun game.
The Nigerian is tired and just wants to take a nap, so he politely declines and tries to catch a few winks. The American lawyer persists, and says that the game is a lot of fun. I ask you a question, and if you don't know the answer, you pay me only $5; you ask me one, and if I don't know the answer, I will pay you $500, he says. This catches the Nigerian's attention and to keep the lawyer quiet, he agrees to play the game.
The lawyer asks the first question. 'What's the distance from The Earth to the Moon?' The Nigerian doesn't say a word, reaches in his pocket pulls out a five-dollar bill, and hands it to the lawyer. Now, it's the Nigerian's turn. He asks the lawyer, 'What goes up a hill with three legs, and comes down with four?' The lawyer uses his laptop and searches all references he could find on the Net. He sends e-mails to all the smart friends he knows, all to no avail. After one hour of searching he finally gives up. He wakes up the Nigerian and hands him $500. The Nigerian pockets the $500 and goes right back to sleep. The lawyer is going nuts not knowing the answer. He wakes the Nigerian up and asks, 'Well, so what goes up a hill with three legs and comes down with four?'
The Nigerian reaches in his pocket, hands the lawyer $5 and goes back to sleep.

Don't mess wit Omo 9ja!
