The shame should be on the folks asking him the same question repeatedly. Was the program about embarrassing officials or to educate their viewers? They should have submitted to him the questions ahead of time so he could have prepared himself or at least move on as quickly as they realized the man was stuttering.
You got it right. Those folks don't know the ethics of their professions. They are more dumber.

Nigeria will not be there in Jesus name.

Let me tell you how poverty is in somalia.
when  adult wants to urinate and 5 children quickly  gather to drink it as it is coming out from the thing.
Go and read report, that is what they are experiencing in Somalia.
At least you are not offering your urine for sale in Nigeria or children are not gathering when you bring out your rocket to urinate. We need to thank God
Let me tell you this,Dead bone will rise again.Nigeria will rise again.
Other countries will queue and struggle to get Nigerian Visa. That is what i believe will happen one day.
God bless Nigeria
God blees you.You ll always be a winner. As long as you remember to pray for you country God will remember you at the very point of your needs.GOD BLESS NIGERIA.We will get THERE!!!!?Huh??

Shame on  Nigerians  in this parlament that supported Emmanuel Boua to mock Nigeria in his myopic twits. So who finally ate the grass?, who is now the giant of Africa? I know we have issues but we should not always team up with other people to pull our country down.I was amazed how fellow nigerians were supporting boua misguided words.

16  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: UNILAG students continue prostest; block third mainland bridge on: 1-06-2012 01:28 AM
Quote from: batima on 31-05-2012 01:20 AM
I'm appalled that people think the fight not to rename UNILAG to Mushroom Abiola University (MAU) is all about swag. i dont need to guess that its non UNILAG students that are speaking this way. Unilag being one of the best in West Africa and 200 in the whole world attests that the school has distinguished its self in exceptional global academic excellence. To flush all these down the toilet just becos GEJ needs a political nod from the South west is disheartening. My reasons for saying this are not far - fetched:

Firstly, UNILAG is not a street or a baby or an individual that you name and rename as you wish and once you print out the change of name in guardian or tribune newspaper the story ends. It is an institution established by acts, constitution, ordinances and has constitutional rights hence due process must be followed. what due process was followed in this case? the president bypassed the school council, senate, the legislative arm of the NASS, did not receive the votes of 2/3rd majority of NASS before changing a constitutional body. This so unacceptable for a president that claims to celebrate democracy. Democracy is about the rule this was absent by the 'suprise announcement'.

Secondly, UNILAG has a population of at least 40,000 students excluding staff members, college of  medicine and its staffs. The cost to print new identity cards for these amount of people, the resources to be spent and time to be wasted is not worth it if its for the same 'democracy' that is being practiced by this PDP govt-govt for the few,of the few and by the few. it would cost billions of naira to build and implement the change in the university and its college of medicine and i don't recall in Mr president speech any allocation being made for the name change.

Thirdly, the certificate that carries the prestigious University of Lagos stands us out in interviews, scholarship applications and even granting exemptions in writing professional exams within and outside Nigeria. we wont be there when these bodies are trying to process the name Mushroom Abiola University. The offer would have been given to another candidate from a school they understand is founded on principles and not politics. our certificate credibility is what we fight for. this is the main reason Unilag students are on the streets. this is the reason we study hard so we can work and be successful with our certificates. Britain is one of the world power and has so many heroes why hasn't it changed the Harvard, Standford, Liverpool Universities to these heroes' names. UNILAG is Nigeria's Harvard, a global brand, Africa's pride!!!!!

we cannot say this name change will not come with its cost. we know this govt. if its has to fund the name change this would lead to increase in  tuition to probably N450,000. this is why we are saying NNNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

If Mr President believes so much in this democracy let him use the money for National Museum to build a befitting University for the late democrat Abiola or revive Abiola Scholarship fund or better yet his extinguished businesses. we see national heroes on our naira notes. i think we av seen enough them. its time to move forward, make and celebrate new heroes like Gov. Fashola of Lagos State, Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo state, Gov Godwill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom, to mention but a few. These once have delivered and are still delivering dividends of democracy.

we are saying NO to manipulation, we are saying NO to unwarranted sufferings, we are saying NO to ruining our certificates, we are saying  to the abuse of power and flagrant disobedience for the rule of law. We are saying no to UNILAG becoming history!!!!!!!!

ALUTA CONTINUA VICTIRIA SANITAS!!!!!!!!
GREATEST AKOKITE!!! UNILAG SHALL NOT DIE!!!

Please get your facts right,Harvard was named after its first benefactor, John Harvard.I really appreciate ur comment it was a brilliant one and i am very sure you will not be among those people that are on the street pursuing shadow instead of the other way round. In my own opinion this protest is INCONSEQUENTIAL, absolutely uncalled for.IFE was named after OAU,Uni of zaria was named after Amadubelo, uni of kano was named after Bayoro and so many others, i don't see any reason why this is different. What matters in life is how far you can prove yourself is not about name of  " A UNIVERSITY" Do ur research very well, the most successeful and brilliant people in any part of the world never had the opportunity to go to the most prestigious/popular schools/universities.I know you are wise enough not to be a part of this show of shame.

Are they the only girls experiencing hard times in nigerial?are there no other tribes that are passing through the same hardship?.It has always been beni girls and that is the fact,  instead of them to burry their heads in books they prefer to come to europe for prostitution, just to build " 4 flats" in benin and before they even get paper to come visiting their mother had already taken over the "4 flats "with another man. What a shame!.It pains me that the beni guys in this forum still support them, anyway it has become a norm in the land. How many of yoruba, ibo or hausa girls do we see in the street of europe prostituting?if you find any, with a proper investigation you ll see that they grew up in benin city.Pls let us use this forum to talk to our little girls to go back to school rather than prostitution, cos education is the only thing that cannot be taken away from anybody, the only thing that ll die with one. "4 flats"ll go.
