Story by 2349ja It was just like any other beautiful day in warri, the sun was shinning and the birds were singing. I was so happy because i finally had the time to do some shopping at the popular Igbo market just before the Sacred Heart Cathedral here in warri. little did i know i was about to hear some touching and terrifying news. When i arrived, the first thing that caught my attention was the unusual crowd in the area, i was perplexed but later calmed down because i knew it was a popular market even though i havnt seen that much crowd in a while, i just felt the market was booming that day so i adjusted my phones just incase someone wanted to play a fast on on me. I later noticed some armed police in the region and i decided to ask around , i found out that the armed policemen were guarding the current flood victims in delta state as they were camped in the Cahoneypot Government Secondary school as shown below.
I was kinda happy because i have not seen any government impact or intervention in the lives of the citizens of the state since governor uduaghan came into power for his second tenure. Anyways i am not here to talk politics, am here to talk about the disturbing story i was later told. After my shopping i stopped by to have a cool drink at Enameguonor Ukoko's shop and while he served me, he began lamenting on some issues. At first i ignored him because it was somewhat annoying but then he let the cat of the bag. this was his story.
It happened in the late hours on Friday , All they heard was a crack, and before they knew what was going on, the high tension wire was already on the ground and four people were trapped under it and they were burning. It all happened so fast and according to Enameguono, people were running helter skelter , no one could stop and think about saving the vitcims or even call the nearest power station to cut off the supply, all they did was abandon their shops and ran as far as they could away from the scene leaving the burning victims to their faith. Enameguono however said there was a struggling victim who was physically fighting the cables off his body and then when someone who saw his zeal to live had pity on him, took an umbrella tried to save him by removing the wires. little did he know that that umbrella was made of iron and could conduct electricity and this automatically made him the 5th victim. but as luck would have it, he and the person struggling with life made it out miraculously i ' say though with severe burns and eye witness said it was impossible to determine if they would make it at the hospital as they were all transferred to the general hospital not far away after like 2 hours. The shop owners were bitter by the way the government officials delayed before they took the corpses away and also with the PHCN staff seen below joining wires together instead of bringing new equipment's to fix this and prevent this from ever occurring again.
As at the time of writing this report, it was unclear if the surviving victims were alright as i could not reach any staff of the hospital. May God save us in this country. Source
Just some few days ago, we heard the story of how four University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) students were brutally murdered in Umuokiri village, Aluu, Rivers State,The murdered students, Chiadika Lordson, Ugonna Kelechi Obusor, Mike Lloyd Toku, and Tekena Elkanah, all part two students, were murdered in cold blood over alleged theft of a laptop computer and a blackberry phone.It was a horrible sight for all and those who saw the video took their anger to the online community demanding justice for the Aluu4. The police were quick to arrest the suspects as there was video evidence showing the babaric nature of the youths. Well, the same thing has happened again and this time in the oil city, warri, delta state. The man in the video below was alledged to have stolen a neck chain in one of the popular markets and the people who caught him felt the best way to go about the issue was by burning him to death. The faces of the muderers are shown in the video, we are hoping the police would swiftly make some arrests as they did in the aluu4 case.
One thing is common in the two events, 1) They were accused of doing something against the law. 2) They were burnt to death.
I know some people would say this is the best way to go about issues like this because of their personal experience with people like this, but then again we are humans and not babaric, besides theres a reason why we have the police and the law. Let us put things in place to stop this from ever happening again.
A 100-year-old Frenchman has set a record for the fastest centenarian to cycle 100km. Robert Marchand completed the distance in 4 hours, 17 minutes and 27 seconds. According to the AFP, the amateur cyclist claims to have clocked up tens of thousands of kilometres in his lifetime. Speaking after his success, Marchland admitted: "I did a little better than I hoped. "However, the going was tough in the last few kilometres." A Pentecostal pastor in Onitsha, Anambra State was on Tuesday detained at the Central Police Station (CPS), Onitsha for allegedly Molesting an 11-year-old girl while supposedly delivering her from witchcraft.
The pastor, whose church is situated at Tasia Road, Inland Town, Onitsha, was said to have told Chioma Onyeji, mother of the Molestation victim, who was in the church for a spiritual programme to leave the girl behind for some days in order to expel the evil spirit in her.
He further said the young girl possessed demonic spirit and witchcraft and consequently insisted that the girl should stay back with him.
Mrs Onyeji, who leaves in Asaba, Delta State, saw her daughter bleeding from her private part when she returned a few days later to pick her girl from the church and informed the police who immediately arrested the pastor.
Upon investigation, the girl told her mother that the pastor Molested her three times after spreading white cloth on the floor. The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at the CPS, Onitsha, Abdul Yusuf, told journalists on Tuesday that he was not on seat, but a police officer, who did not want his name mentioned, confirmed the incident, adding that the pastor would soon be charged to court. You can imagine how stupid some people claiming to be men of God are.

Thomas beatle has given birth to his last baby, According to him. In an interview which aired The Doctors, Thomas Beatie said he seriously seriously considering having a hysterectomy. Beatie was born a woman and legally became a man in 2002 although he never had his female reproductive organs surgically removed. He and his wife Nancy have three kids -- Susan, Austin and Jensen, and it was she who Bosom fed the babies. But the transgender dad had to go off his male hormones during each pregnancy.
