No... YOU read your Bible very well, Luke 18:12 speaks of a man's pride before GOD by paying tithe (a concept that originated from the LAW). verse 13 & 14 sheds more light on it. Hebrews 7:5-7 still points to the LAW and ties the tithe concept to it. If you are a Christian understand you are no longer under the LAW but under Grace Romans 6:14 (get someone enlightened to explain this to you) I advise you don't lift a verse out of context from the bible. Read the whole chapter to have a better understanding of the story.
