Maybe absconding after the Olympic games should be awarded it's own medal.

For this year the gold should go to toe Congo.

The silver to Cameroun.

Decision for the bronze is still pending.

Which way Nigeria?
We really need to do something about our poor economy. It just gets worse with every new day!!
What can the 5,0000 note buy anyone. It's really becoming laughable especially when we continue to style ourselves the "giant of Africa."
I am yet to understand what the term means and what the "giant" represents? Is it the land mass or number of black people situated in one country because it most definitely has nothing to do with our economy, standard of living or likeability?

How come we never looked relaxed on the beach.

All we ever see is people standing around looking out to see as if they suddenly realised it's there?

No wonder tourism in Nigeria is non existent. There's no photos that inspires.

Looks like the guitars were lined up especially for the photo shoot.

Should they really be in the bedroom. The photo looks badly staged!!!!
6146  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: US considers special residency law for Nigerian student on: 22-08-2012 08:33 PM
Only God knows how many innocent children have been killed by these native doctors because they were born "different?"

I am glad the conditions of the resident permit excludes his family because more often than not they follow the "prescriptions" of these native doctors without qualm.

Again it shows that there is nothing one cannot achieve whatever the "disability." And that in the long run Nigeria loses another brilliant doctor when he graduates.

The nun who rescued him and took him to safety will leave this world blessed.

The parents and the native doctor had better get on their knees and hope a chance comes up where they can right their wrongdoing to avoid karma.

ANOTHER ARTICLE FROM NAIAJAPALS THAT WILL LEAVE NIGERIA IN BAD LIGHT AND A LAUGHING STOCK IN THE WORLD!

COULD IT BE THAT POOR PREPARATIONS FOR THE GAMES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR HER BAD PERFORMANCE?

WITCHES AND WIZARDS INDEED!!!

NIGERIA WILL FOREVER REMAIN IN THE THIRD WORLD CATEGORY .

WHAT A PITY.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THE "GIANT OF AFRICA" USES THAT AS A TOILET!!

HOW MORE PRIMITIVE CAN A COUNTRY BE?

NO WONDER THE WHOLE WORLD LAUGHS WHEN NIGERIANS ATTEMPT TO COME ACROSS AS CIVILISED.

THAT IS REALLY DISGUSTING.

WHAT DO THE BATHROOMS LOOK LIKE?

YUK, YUK, YUK!!!!!

NAIAJAPALS YOU REALLY SHOULD  EDIT ALL ARTICLES BEFORE PRINTING FOR THE WORLD TO VIEW.

THE CORRECT SPELLING SHOULD BE "VANISH" AND NOT "VARNISH."

THE TWO WORDS MEAN DIFFERENT THINGS.

THIS WEBSITE IS VIEWED AROUND THE WORLD AND IT DOES NOT TELL WELL ON THE AUTHENTICITY OF YOUR STAFF.

HAVE A NICE DAY!!!

6150  Forum / Sports / Re: Blessing Okagbare Loses In Olympic 100M Women's Final (No Medals For Naija!) on: 5-08-2012 03:09 PM
Is it possible I get a refund of my taxes wasted to send the Nigeria contingent to the London 2012 Olympics?

Most of those who "represented" the "giant of Africa" were not even training (or living) in Nigeria so really the excuse of inadequate facilities does not hold water! Their performance brings to focus the way Nigeria as  as a nation is run (governed). There is no real patriotic discipline for wanting to do well for the nation as a whole.  But do we blame them for taking the opportunity to go on a "free holiday to London?" When an "African champion" comes last as Blessing did, it does not show our sporting skills in good light. This is especially true as we see 15 and 16 year old children from other nations  in the London 2012 games doing themselves and nation states proud.

It is a pity we have inadequate sports facilities in our primary schools, secondary schools, higher colleges and our universities. Most P.E lessons are classroom based with the only time they use the unkempt fields (I would not call them sports tracks) to compete is in locally organised inter house sports days (which in themselves are hurriedly organised)!

Such games are supposed to inspire the younger generation to want to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors and do even better! Well I was not inspired neither were my children.

Come RIO 2016 do we expect better? Well baring no civil war, coup or Boko Haram blowing Nigeria off the map of the world, they say "where there is life there is hope!!"

If you believe that, you will believe anything!!!!

So Harden broke his ankle and I am supposed to be happy with that. Well I am not.

Get well soon Mr Harden.

Was there anyone out there expecting Nigeria to win? I for one was not.

Come on England.

Where did you study?
6153  Forum / Sports / Re: Sex and Condoms Fire Up Athletes At The London Olympics on: 1-08-2012 01:29 PM
Do what you were sent there to do and that is to win medals.

Other 15 and 16 year olds are there doing their respective countries well and winning their events.

Do the same for once! We all know condoms are made available to the competitors. England does not want AIDS left as the legacy

for hosting the world!!! This is not news.

Now where are the medals Nigeria has won so far?
6154  Forum / The Buzz Central / Re: Olympic mess: panic in the cameroonian camp as a female footballer goes missing. on: 1-08-2012 01:25 PM
I hope she is not seeking for asylum!!!!!!!

I still haven't got over the shame of the man from Niger who loudly told the world he only took up rowing 3 months before the Olympic

games! This is more shameful especially when other nations of the world started training at least 4 years ago. We see youngsters

aged 15 and 16 winning medals for their countries. As always we are there as the underdogs.

A big shame on the IOC in Africa!!!
6155  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Ladies & Gents: Here Are The Poorest Countries In The World! on: 1-08-2012 01:18 PM
I have gone through the list and the majority of the poorest countries in the world are in the African continent!

So Naijapals with this article, are you boasting about it or apologizing for the immature handling of our resources?
6156  Forum / Sports / Re: [Photos] London Olympics 2012 : Meet Team Nigeria on: 30-07-2012 01:59 PM
I wish the Nigeria contingent the best.

On a more serious note, I hope Nigeria has not included a "have -a-go-hero" in the contingent.

In the Olympics of 2000, it was "Eric the Eel" from Equatorial Guinea who could not swim to save the life of his parents. Now in London 2012, it's Hamadou Djobou Issaka (a rower?) of Niger. If you don't know, when all the other nations had finished the heat Hamadou was still struggling in vain to catch up with them.

Why do African nations like to "show off" their ineptitude in getting ready for such events. Hamadou had only three months of training. As far as I am concerned that is no excuse. We know every 4 years the Olympics comes round and nations start to get their athletes ready. But for Africa it's as if the invitation to the London 2012 only came in the post yesterday and there was a scamble to find representatives for the various events.

I thought the Olympics was for the best of the best to compete in? Not for nations who through the years are always ill prepared and send in anything to answer "present master." If Hamadou is the best in his country, Niger, can bring for the Games in London shame on them.

Africa should understand that behind all the clapping from the spectators when one of ours is still struggling to finish when the race is long over, it does not leave Africa in good light. We appear forever beggars!

If nations like,  Senegal and other African nations in the long distant races (Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia etc) and of course Nigeria are "in it to win it,"  why send "have a go heros?"

People as young as 15 and 16 are competing and doing their nations proud by winning medals. Everyone wants to show the world "what you can do we can do better."

As a continent lets do the same thing. Lets be patriotic and disciplined and send in people who give their own quota. When answering the call of the IOC to send in any five people to compete in various events, think of events where you stand a chance. Niger is a landlocked country how does he hope to learn to row 3 months prior to the beggest sporting event.

I know in Niger when he gets home he will be hailed a hero and probably be made the  president in the next election or become a film star in a home movie!!!

Good luck to him!!!!!!

And by the way, when will we see an indigene of the Niger delta (riverine area) in an Olympic swimming event? You would think because they are surrounded by water they can at least learn to swim!!!

I do not agree with Anambra state being classified as educationally backward however are we poor?

Yes we are and we need help.

So El-Rufai are you providing the necessary funds to set Anambra back on the road to glory or has our ill thought off

governors reply put you off?

There are industries in the state that need urgent government backing to be put back into production. We have several schools

that need refurbishing. We have some of the worst roads east of the Niger.

I do not see why everything has to be turned into tribal politics.

6160  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Communal Clash: 8 People Injured, 72 Houses Destroyed In Anambra State on: 14-07-2012 03:34 PM
The message I was putting across was that the current problems in the country will not necessarily be solved by Nigeria dividing up into

smaller clich├ęs!! Every peace loving person, including myself, wants stability and success in Nigeria (and the whole of Africa).

However we should not give the impression (especially to the Igbo masses who are less enlightened) that once we succeed and get self

governance all problems will disappear overnight because they will not.

My intention was not to offend anyone.

IGBO KWENU!
